China also didn’t forget how some Chinese people abandoned them in the century of humiliation and that’s why “overseas Chinese” are not even recognized by China as real Chinese
@@ToiChutGongWu do you think that our brains don’t produce enough dopamine so that our day to day life is too boring for us and we seek confrontation online to chase that feeling like we’re winning something? In reality we’re winning absolutely nothing. None of your comments change a single geopolitical action and none of my comments actually do any physical harm to overseas garbage. So why do we even do this? We want to feel like we’re accomplishing something but we’re really not.
I've lived here for 4 decades and I never heard of it either. Anyway, all the studies and polls show that 75% of East Asians (excluding China) prefer China over the US as a partner and the regional hegemon, if forced to choose. Source: Straits Times. Greetz from Singapore.
U like to mention WW2 too much wake up look at the modern day threat china who want to control all of Asia sea claim all the islands and resources and bully their neighbors out of their own land and resources.japan was peaceful when china came to challenge their island, then china challenge India for their land, challenge philliphins for their sea, claim 80 percent of the Indo Pacific sea and then you bring up WW2 for no reason
@@Jun-pr6li Absolutely. I recommend reading the recent book Gold Warriors which documents how the United States conspired with Japan to help them extricate all of the gold they stole during their imperial tyranny before and during WW2 while simultaneously erasing the massive financial reparations they owed to the nations and people they victimized.
@@skydragon23101979 everyone suffered WW2 the Japan you are talking about where nuked twice by usa ,but you don't see them bringing it up every two seconds you know how many people died in those two nuclear bombs.but using WW2 as excuse for china modern day aggressiveness on its neighbors does not make sense.
The greatest threat to China today is whether the Chinese government has any effective measures to detect and deal with the attempts by hostile nations trying to covertly smuggle biochrmical and nuclear weapons of mass destruction into China under the cover of diplomatic immunity of diplomatic luggages and bags?
More like sabotaging Taipei and Beijing peaceful reunification as Macau and Hong Kong peninsula was peacefully ceded by Portugal and UK in 1999 and 1997 respectively. If Taiwan tuning into a nato member will force the island to become a silo for weaponry for all the western countries and allies, therefore bringing more weapons to aims their weapons into China to slow China economy growth as nato has military bases in Japan, South Korea or Philippines near bye already but still not enough or doesn't slow China raise with the current military bases surrounding the mainland...
So does United States. HOWEVER, it is officially a PROVINCE of China. They all better make up their mind, BECAUSE, US will BRUTALLY destroy Taiwan, before giving it back to Mainland China. BOTH Taiwan and Japan have their manufacturing businesses in Mainland China. Will these businessmen willing to give up their assets?
@@fernandofernandito3055 nato is in atlantic. but if nato were in pacific, then membership for taiwan would be crossing a redline, but then having us military personnel inn taiwan was also a redline. china plays a careful waiting game.
She actually was half Japanese and is descended from those who mass-murdered civilians in China Manchuria. The evidence is clear and she refused a DNA test to clear her name. Guilty!
The long time span, from the Japanese surrender since the end of WWII till our current times, that Japan has refused to apologize to the nations it invaded and terrorized is sufficient to substantiate that Japan will never admit that it did anything wrong unless it is brought to its knees through another defeat and devastation through economic or military means. Furthermore, even though the Japanese are subservient to the Americans since the end of the War, the Japanese government still portrays themselves as victims of the atomic bombs, which is a fact, but refuses to reflect upon their aggressions on the Asian nations that led to that debacle. In my view, the Japanese is not engaged in the Taiwan game but rather the American-China game. It probably hope to trigger a China-U.S. confrontation through Taiwan which will definitely weaken both countries and sneakily not get involved when that happens, all the while misleading the U.S. by seemingly staying engaged because that’s the only way it can reassert itself in some ways in our current era. That will of course backfire because the U.S. just wants Japan to start a proxy war to wear down China before it intervenes. Don’t expect the Japanese to reflect and apologize sincerely but just defeat and suppress it like what the Americans do.
The Japanese have answer the following simple question. As a condition of the Japanese surrender to end WWII, Japan had to return Taiwan to China. The terms of the Japanese surrender were extremely favorable to the Japanese given the amount of harm they cause to China and to the rest of Asia. The Japanese basically didn't have to make any restitution for the damage and harm they caused. Does the Japanese really want to undo the return of Taiwan to China violating one of the key terms of their surrender to the Allies, including China, to end WWII? It goes without saying if there is not Japanese surrender that ended WWII war still between China a Japan.
Actually first time hear Lei Qian's English speech, very nice. With separatist's movement becomes more and more daring, all we can say is the D Day and End Game is coming closer and closer to Taiwan. One way or another, it's good to see Reunification be achieved rather than delayed.
ASEAN should be putting heavy pressure on the Philippines and make their position clear to Japan. If these weak states are going to start trouble, the rest of Asia and Russia will be making their own security pacts to counter the imperialist US snd it's proxies. They're not going to get away with this anymore.
The truth is that Japan has never given up its wrongful idea that Taiwan is still a colony of Japan and so it is now re-militarising to militarily take back its lost ciolony!
That is very very greedy and immoral of Japan of this is the case. Imperial Japan was guilty of committing genocide. Japan should not be trusted with more political power over regions because it historically was very abusive and murderous to its neighbors. It even attacked its distant neighbor to the West! Japan just not deserve political power over any more regions.
Is that when your ancestors fled China for Malaysia or Singapore or wherever you now live? That was their chance to prove their patriotism by fighting for China. Instead…they ran away. Now China does not consider you Chinese anymore.
@@mudshovel289 The majority of overseas Chinese support mainland china and not the fake Hakka. In Malaysia and Singapore, Hakkas only fight against Cantonese and hokkien So is Hakka in Indonesia Hakka are famous of trying to con people like Taiping rebellion when Hakka attempt to cheat that Hakka are brother of jesus but the truth he wanted to be emperor
Taiwan should stand up to its citizen and demanding Japan to publicly apologize and compensate the crime Japan committed, informing Japan that Taiwan is now part of China as a whole.
Japan is thinking if Taiwan under PRC , THEIR LIFE IS OVER. in fact... The other way around is better for Japan if Japan support One china policy . Japan can remove 3 potential neighbouring enemy (North Korea, Rusia and China) and make peace in ONE go. Even better if Japan can influence South Korea to do the same... South Korea got the same peaceful deal same as Japan. The whole north asia will become more stable and peaceful. They don't need to rely on guns to make them safe even if they are weak.
These visits can be regarded as actions in desperation . The time is on China's side . Japan or US cannot stop onward march of the great country of China . The ordinary japanese people know the nature of their so called leaders . Japanese people will teach a lesson to this U S agents .
Japanese people vote for their leaders dude. Something Chinese people really can’t do. If Japan wants to end the cooperation with the United States they just have to vote for leaders who make it happen.
@@mudshovel289 No. Japan's constitution is written and controlled by the US as a condition of WW2 surrender. Korea has asked US to leave THREE times, and US just says, "Actually, NO". Even worse, last time US forced Korea to pay 100% of all the US inflated military costs there. No wonder koreans loathe US
@@mudshovel289 Japanese people can NOT vote for their leader. They can only vote for their local member rep. They have no vote for the prime minister, who is chosen by the member of the party that wins the most reps in the election. Same as in most parliamentary democracies. The US is atypical in that they separately vote for the president, who may or may not be from the same party as most local reps.
The critical point has yet to be disclosed to the people of Taiwan. What happens, and where is Taiwan's sovereignty? The United States, as the principal occupying power of Taiwan, should also be disclosed. This information enables the people of Taiwan to determine whether Taiwan's independence is possible.
Any aspiring Japanese PM need to show the US that they can be counted on to continue the US foreign policy to push for Taiwan DPP independence while telling China the US still abides by the one China policy! Its not an endgame its just a show by the Japanese to their US masters so they can get the PM job!
If china can give special resident status to overseas (born) Chinese which spread all around the globe, I think it can contribute to positive influence. Some Chinese decendants don't know if they are of Chinese heritage (looks like local race) even fightiing back their ancestral Chinese homeland ( like Philippines case .. both ownership island claim by bothside is true . . because both owned it.. . Unlike the ownership process by American to Hawaii island.. which is far away land and the people is not connected (different race)
Hong Kong has never been freer, wealthier, or more prosperous than it is today. You must pay $5-million to get a visa just to live there, and the demand is massive even at that. 200K ppl moved to HK just last year. Many multi-millionaires from Canada, US, and especially Arabs.
Some people say Taiwan is a country. Some people say it’s part of China. But one thing is certain. Not even China considers “overseas Chinese” as part of China 😢. China doesn’t want the descendants of cowards.
Overseas Chinese are not part of China! You have it wrong. But overseas Chinese are Chinese. I bet there are a lot of overseas Chinese still claim to be Chinese as far as ethnicity is concerned. You cannot just forget your roots, wherever you are!
@@gemmahon ethnic Chinese, sure. But their roots have nothing to do with the PRC. They weren’t there for its creation. They didn’t fight in the Civil War. They didn’t suffer the Great Leap Forward or the Cultural Revolution. They didn’t contribute to its modernization. Their roots are in the Qing Dynasty or earlier. That country is long gone. The People’s Republic of China is like a different country which has nothing to do with these overseas cheerleaders. So it doesn’t really affect them if Taiwan becomes independent or not 🤷♂️.
