Thanks for that. It's great to translate what you are talking to. I don't hope to visit Japan at some point. Though I would be so lost asking for help, since I don't know any of the language.
This is so addicting. It’s a shame it’s just for a little while. I’m anxiously waiting for the Japanese government to open up so I can travel to Japan again. I miss it so much you have no idea. Thank you Sharla 😃
@@sharlainjapan i’m already following you 😂 Just not on twitter much these days because it’s 70% negative these days! But thank you, i’ll check it out!!
Love that Nadine reached out to you and you guys went together, sometimes living in a foreign country can be hard but its nice to see people still try to reach out even to strangers and get to know one another :)
I participated in Japan's Pokemon stamp rally for the first time when I was 12. Since then, I do it every year, now with my five kids!! I'm happy that I could pass on the baton of Pokemon passion to my children.
It's pretty neat how Pokémon has endured. I was the same age as my son is now when I first started playing with Pokémon cards and games ans now he likes it too! I hope I can do this stamp rally with my kids some day too (but we are 🇨🇦 so it might not happen soon lol)
I'm sure there will be many more generations of Pokemon so they can share it with their kids one day too! I love to see comments of Pokemon fan parents sharing fun things like that
I LOVE the fact that someone with so much reach is showing the lids to an audience outside of Japan! I have been trying to do so but... RU-vid lol. Thanks for doing this hunt! Maybe one day we can meet up and do another hunt! I still have over a 100 more to go! :)
They are sooo amazing, I never new they existed. I'm a huge pokemon and drawing fan, so I probably drawing some of the lids and hanging them on my walls 🥰
This is actually pretty awesome. Placing the manholes and stamps at places that people would never think to visit and creating new interactions with people on the way. I wish this kinda of fun concept was adopted elsewhere around the world. also Strawberries for Japan in Winter Mangos for Australia in Summer
I love that the vlogs you produce are always such a little mini adventure and definetly makes me feel more comfortable and wanting to explore Japan outside of the main areas everyone knows. Many places to add to my list when I can eventually travel over again!
You got a "like" out of me before I've even seen the video just for the content - I've been waiting for this series to continue! Thank you for helping us e-tourists out.
Another manhole/stamp hunt video!! These are fun to watch. The manhole designs are pretty cute. Since the video says 'final day', I guess this would be the last video for this series? Congrats on finding lots of manholes and getting lots of stamps, too! If there's ever another stamp rally you'd participate in and make a video of, I'd totally watch it.
@@sharlainjapan maybe next year you'll remember this fun adventure and attempt to get the stamps again? Its practically free content /a fun mini series just waiting to be recorded if the stamps return
Sharla you know you can keep the cat grass trays and just buy the seeds on amazon? It grows pretty easily on a sunny window sill and a weekly watering.
In a sea of meh videos, its always good to see Sharla pop up and this one has extra positive vibes by Nadines big smile bouncing off the the screen. Love when we see the Cat also. hes a natural. :D
This is SO WHOLESOME! Just a new friend and an adventure taking in beautiful sites and pokemon hunting. Also some treats. Love this! I hope you guys make more videos together!
These pokemon videos are just so oddly satisfying. good solid editing, good lo-fi music, good commentary. and great one liners like" "i love these man's holes" had me LOL'n haha
Matsushima and Ishinomaki are the first two places I visited in Japan in 2018 and seeing them again makes me so nostalgic. Thanks for taking us along on your Pokemon adventure, Sharla!
So glad you got more stamps and a new friend. Nice that this quest has taken you all over and seen new places. Looks like you had fun and keep those vids coming.
Thank you for taking us on this fun journey! It was exciting to see the hunt for the manholes and definitely looking forward to any other adventures you may have lined up!
These vlogs are a great way of showing of the lesser known parts of Japan (even Sharla got surprised by some spots!). Nice to see Sharmander slowly but surely going to Sharizard...or Sharpras?? And a thank you to Nadine for driving and spotting. And daring to go into "sketchy" alleys
Loved this! Reminded me of the time I went to London to visit friends and they had Shaun the Sheep sculptures all around the city. Took several days but we managed to find every single one. It’s true you get to visit places you normally wouldn’t think of.
Thank you for these Japan vlogs I honestly might never be able to visit there so your videos Sharla make me think I’m there experiencing with you so thanks! 😎 also congrats on 705k subs
I wish I could just meet new friends and go out on fun day trips like you, Sharla. The mochi felt kinda oddly coincidental because I recently bought a ton of different mochi from several grocery stores this week because they were either on special or rarely there so I took the chance, the flavours ranging from boba milk, Macha, Thai tea, raspberry, lemon and kiwi fruit. I'm really looking forward to trying the lemon and kiwi ones. And I'd LOVE to go to Cat Island, though it wouldn't be as much fun for my dad, since he's allergic to cats 😅
i love your videos because they bring me a lot of peace inside my horrible horrible brain so thank you for all the years of being my little friend in a screen
I'm so happy to see to see you collab with a smaller J vlogger! I would love to see you collab with Tomi from Tomi's World cause I feel like yall would have a good time roaming Japan too and I love Tomi~
Just as you found the first manhole cover, the crossing chirps in the background. I miss that so much. On both of our trips to Kyoto we stayed at the same hotel (Sakura Terrace near the Joshin store - awesome Gunpla selection...) and there is a crossing right outside so those chirps were a constant sound.
This was so fun! It's a bummer you couldn't fill out the stamp book, but it seems like you got to discover so many cool places, so the adventure seems worth it! 💖
How I wish I had lived in or, at least, visited Japan in this lifetime. Too late now, so I’m enjoying it thru you and Rachel & Jun. thanks for all of the fun!!!
omg rhubarb! I haven't had it since I moved to Korea either...I miss my grandma's rhubarb cakes/pies/pastries. Congrats on getting so many of the stamps!
I like your new sidekick she’s sweet. It seems like she would probably like to go and do a lot of different adventures as well. As opposed to some of the other people that seem like well if it’s work conducive they might go.
Super fun adventure with you guys. I just subscribed to Nadine! Thanks for bringing us along with you. It’s a shame you didn’t so called catch them all but hopefully it’s a yearly thing. Glad to see your doing well stay safe out there. X
