Rion can speak good English and pretty expressive. He can do private eating/show tours in Osaka alone and it well worth the effort. Tourists will love his in positive enthusism and learn much more than those group tours. I know I will be one of his first customers if he ever offer that service.
I think being a tour guide is your best option for extra money, but never give up on youtube, your so good at it and very intertwining, good luck and stay safe 🦁🤙
Good luck on the path you chose! As long as you're happy, content, and able to afford your lifestyle. You'll be fine! Would be great if you did brush up in history and did tours for English speaking tourists. がんばってよ!
The good part of this job is that if you don't like being around people, you don't have to deal with co-workers or a boss. Can you choose your delivery area? If you can limit the delivery area, you probably could make more money. In the US, you would be making about 10% (low end) in tips.
True ^^ Unfortunately we cannot limit the area that's why I got far and far from my original place... Also if we had tip culture, definitely would be better🤣haha
Hey Rion love your videos! I think it would be cool if you did a one off video where you only speak Japanese with subtitles! I think it would be really cool!
I really hope your youtube career takes off soon. I would be careful about using certain musics in your video since there are people out there that will flag it if they feel it is copyrighted. And I don't want you to lose money from your videos.
Aww man. I need to start tipping my Uber delivery guys, even though tipping is not customary in Australia, your video made me realised how little they earn. Thanks for THIS video Rion!
Hello Rion, thanks for posting these videos! My name is Bjorn, I'm from Belgium. I normally visit Japan twice a year but now it wont be possible due to Corona virus, we are not allowed to travel :-( Which is why it is extra good to see videos like this one where we can still see how every day life in Japan is going. Keep up the good work!
Nice video but i think to make a better comparison, you SHOULDN'T deduct the cost of the snack, curry bread, from your earnings - only the gas expense. if you worked for 3 hours at another part-time job, you would STILL need to take a break and eat your snack.
LOL🤣 Good point! and I also should calculate the motorbike's insurance cost, and bike's depreciation😊 Just make it simple and fun, it's not significant I thought😂, but Arigatooo😆👍
We recently got uber eats in shizuoka, I tried ordering recently but the service was terrible and I didn't receive my food. I didn't realise the wage is so little even in Osaka, I have more empathy for the uber eats drivers now, thank you for your video 😊
im so happy when I you mentioned Spirited Away. it is one of my very few favorite japan cartoon movie. i can no longer count how many times i watched it.
Hello i'm an Uber delivery from Brazil, does your app do not show the location of the Restaurant and the customer, adress? Here it shows, so i usually choose nearby restaurants, It helps saving gasoline. Btw nice channel, It was interesting for me to see how It Works in Japan 😄
A japanese speaking english. Otsukaresamadesu brother. Im planning to do kirikae and buy a motorcycle but im not sure its ok cause my visa is dependent. I subbed very informative 😊
Konichiwa Rion! Very interesting expose' on UberEats. What you didn't include in your accounting were your capital expenses (depreciation on your motorbike), marginal expenses like insurance, and risk that you might be involved in an accident. I would guess that would knock off another $0.40 off your net income. I also want to say thank you for showing us so many places around Osaka. When I watch other videos I can recognize where they are filming and impress my wife. :-) Arigato!
Wow I thought Uber only picks drivers that are close by. I can’t believe it. I actually thought about doing it before but to be honest, I’ve never seen a girl delivering so I hesitated.
Do it! We have Uber drivers from all walks of life. I’ve seen an elderly husband and wife team in their car. I thought is was to keep themselves occupied after retirement. Wife had the phone and husband did the driving.
@@MeowMeow202 Driving too? I definitely have to get a Japanese license for that then. However, I always heard it was difficult to obtain one. But it would be nice to travel in a car within Japan ..
I think the Japanese style curry bread would be different taste from other countries, I would like to try for sure. I can not drink coffee after 3pm cause can't fall into sleep 😂Good luck hard work guy!!!
you can develop your travel business for english speakers once the pandemic is over. be a tour guide and photographer for tourists and also maybe write digital tour guides and offer other related services online such as articles and maybe selling your photo calendar??
hello Rion Ishida san, I am also international student and i also want to do delivering job, I have some queries on food delivering jobs. If anyone have "gentsuki license". In gentsuki license , a moped (or scooter) is anything that is equal to or less than 50 cc in engine displacement. Then Can he drive the delivering moped (esp. used japan) which is generally used by mcdonalds, KFC, Pizzahut.? I mean, Do you the exact cc of the delivering moped which is used in japan? I am waiting your reply (help) in this pandemic situation.
Hello, as long as less than 50cc you can drive with Gentsuki license, and generally speaking those mopeds are under 50cc (many part-time job worker can drive)😉
is it okay to give tip in ubereat? I know tipping in Japan is not usual, however there's a tip in the app and im not Sure if its not rude to give one I order.
Rion is too diligent, let us know about this UberEats part time job experience, learn to know Japan life and culture ! The poor thing is that Rion only eat curry bread and coffee ☕️🥧, but curry bread is also delicious 😋! Just be HAPPY 😊 😊😊👍👌✌️!
This looks like a very hard job. Also to save money you will need to keep making plenty of food at home and bringing a portion of it during deliveries.
Not a good comparison since you did not deduct regular expenses of working for minimum wage jobs such as food also and cost of transportation. But in your Uber job, you deducted them.
Omg baby I just found you and I also do something similar to Uber ears, it's door dash as a third job but in the United States and in those 1 hour I could usually earn over $60 for two to three deliveries :0 baby, that's a dangerous and not worth it payment. Thanks for being truthful and showing us.
hi rion i watch your vlogs! I am a vlogger too in Osaka, and I think you live near because our vlogs sometimes has same locations . Hope we can do a collaboration!:) Take care!
Hi Rion Nice to see and meet you on RU-vid so can we meet someday if we visit Osaka ? We have been in Osaka twice but we only went to Dotonbori and the Temple but we don’t know the other a good place in Osaka.
Nice video i love it Well i need help , i want to travel to japan next year , i will study medicine so i need a second job after the education programme So Can I carry in myself? By living my life : food , rent , university costs , Clothes etc
Arigatooo 😊 I think exchange students only can work up to 28 hours per week, meaning you can earn about 112,000 JPY in a month (Tokyo) if you work. except university tuition, I think it's possible but it would be really hard if you need to pay for the tuition🤔
Rion, what kind of camera equipment are you using for your vlog? They look super clear and amazing! Thanks for this interesting video about your Uber experience.
Good video to learn how to drive for Uber Eats in Tokyo, Japan, for new drivers to learn, drive and earn money. Thank you. Good luck with your youtube channel. 新しいドライバーが学び、運転し、お金を稼ぐための、東京の Uber Eats の運転方法を学ぶための優れたビデオです。ありがとう。 RU-vid チャンネルの幸運を祈ります。
