My Beatles really enjoy pyrethrin.... it's like caviar

Oh yikes... maybe try bifenthrin or acephate. Either of those are good at killing Japanese Beetles, and are a bit stronger than plain pyrethrin.

What if everyone in a neighborhood contaminated with these beetles put in traps? Using sprays can harm other insects so pick your poison.

Sprays used incorrectly or at inappropriate times can harm other insects. The primary plants that Japanese Beetles feed on, in our part of the country, are roses and other non heavily bee pollinated plants. At Wasco Nursery, we do not recommend spraying plants unless it is absolutely necessary. We post our videos to inform our audience on how and when to spray, so that they do as little damage to pollinator populations as possible.
