Episode: Demolish
First, I’m going to demolish the staircase, and then I’ll replace it with another one.
I’ve worked as a carpenter for many years, but it’s only my second try to renovate the staircase.
Because the stairs were rather unsafe, I’ll demolish and reinforce them to make them safer to go up.

I understand your thoughts on not liking to wear gloves. I feel I can't think if I can't feel what I'm working on. 😀 Great job.

I’m not understanding the hammer you’re using. It is very similar to a western slag hammer that a welder would use for chipping slag from a fresh weld. It has the standard hammer side and then a pointed chipping side. Because it has no claw for pulling nails, what is the function of the other side? I understand you carry an additional nail puller in your tool belt, but why not have a claw on the other side for pulling nails when needed.
