Thrift stores give such an interesting insight into a culture don't they? Loved the laquer panel. I don't always love laquer but that piece is beautiful. Great video again!
Thank you so much! So true. I do enjoy watching thrifting videos from all over the US too as items seem to differ depending on the State😊Thank you so much and happy you liked the lacquered panel too!
Was so looking forward to your current video. I love everything you show us, and such a wonderful culture/history/geography lesson that comes with it! I am still marvelling at learning about the stand for the tea whisk from your last video. I'm firming up plans for a visit to Tokyo later this year (from Toronto) so am looking forward to exploring some of the places you have introduced us to. Thank you.
Hello there! Thank you so much for watching from Mexico and for your kind comment😊Glad to be able to share the ceramics we have in shops and markets over here!🎶
Aw thank you so much for watching and grateful for your comment about my voice. We all find our own voices sound a bit weird so...it's really kind of you to say that!🥰
Greetings from the U.K,I love your videos so much,I learn so much. You definitely have moved self control than me😂,I would of brought a lot more in that warehouse. I collect Japanese dolls, ceramice, books I loved all of your choices especially that lacquered picture. Thank you for showing us all your treasures that you find. I think I'm going to watch all your previous vlogs 😊😊xxx
Thank you so much for watching and for your kind comment! Yeeees...so little space in this Tokyo apartment, otherwise I would buy a lot too😄How lovely you collect all sorts of Japanese items!😍
Hi there ! In Showa period, especially 1970 to 1980's , tea cup sets and plates/vases were used for souvenir gifts from weddings or company events. That's how many were unused and maybe still in beautiful boxes. Some households had 4 or 5 boxes stuck up in kitchen corners. Also be careful about assuming some of the paintings & arts as Japanese. Many are Made in China.
I just noticed a comment on your page about shipping... I too am looking to ship my collection to the U.S. Do you happen to have any advice about the least expensive and safe method of shipping. I have many boxes and so was looking into renting a half container. Can't find one tho
Does anyone have recommendations for thrift shopping in Japan from overseas that doesn't involve high shipping fees like Buyee? I gave it a try, but the shipping costs ended up being quite a setback.
Hi. I am looking to ship collection back the U.S. Do you have any advice? I was looking into a 20 footer or half container. Any advice is appreciated. Thank you
Thank you for watching and for your comment. I currently only list on Mercari Japan for the domestic market, but hope to have something running for the international market soon😊
