Thank u Sir for introducing me to yet more phenomenal Japanese talent. Glad Narumi made it. There really is no escape from this endless black hole that is Japanese metal.
The 20 guitar players of the two parts are all absolutely phenomenal, it's just a matter of personal taste. Mayto (Hagane), Mina (Fate Gear), Mitsuru (Madaseka), Illumina and Ika (Ark Royal), Chiaki (Suichu Spica), Meguri (Paranoid Void), Motoko Kida (Tricot), Mizuki (Toranoko Rammy) and Yoyoyoshie (Otoboke Beaver) are 10 more amazing female guitar players from Japan.
This addition is a MUST! Yes to all these great guitarists!!! Most of them I have also come across over the last few years; a few of which would have been on my own "Top" 10. Let me give you one more to check out soon --- Erika from Little Lilith! My have a feeling you would like that band, and her, a LOT! Thanks for all the great content!
Nice. Yoshi, Yuki, Asaka, Narumi and Li-as-X are all big enough, and good enough, that they could have been in any top ten too. Seriously, we are spoiled for choice, let’s be honest.
yeah I agree I basically only expect perfection from Japanese musicians at this point ahah... Also that's why I'm doing a second part for my charts... (couldn't really list all of them in a single video, it would have been too long...)
It's an embarrassment of riches, to say the least. Thank you for compiling these lists. I agree with the comment that Sun-Go should have been on one of them--if she had been a Western guy in that era, she would be worshipped like Blackmore or van Halen.
My two favorite are Saki and Yuki. I base that on how their music hits me emotionally. Of course all these ladies are awesome, Tomo-Zo shreds so effortlessly, Sakura is just lightning and Sun-Go from Show-Ya is the OG GOAT. I really hate how GOAT is so overused and has lost its special designation but to me Sun-Go's tone is unique and HUGE. Not loud but HUGE. I can pick out her playing right away, just like in a guitar medley you know immediately if its Van Halen, Stevie Ray Vaughan or Dimebag just by the tone. Anyway, like I said, you cant go wrong with anyone of these ladies.

Japanese will be the next power heavy metal in the world, but they will have to leave they confort zone and play all around the world . if they play only in Japan, its not gonna work . Gotta play all around in the world.
Cool list, there seems to be no shortage of great Japanese female guitarists. Just wait until you see some of the Chinese female guitarists also they will surprise you, for example there is YoYo, Evlee and Miumiu. They are something else.
