Aomori Musume is a folk song from the Aomori area, composed by Gento Uehara (上原げんと) most likely sometime in the late 1950s. The famous poet and songwriter Satou Hachiro (サトウ・ハチロー) created the lyrics to the song. Parts of this song are also in the Tsugaru dialect, namely the chorus.
This particular recording was recorded in October of 1958.
