The Hakuhodo J-104 is my daily powder brush, and I love it. It's too small to set my whole face with though. Can you think of a goat hair brush that's a similar shape, but about twice as big.

Hi, thanks for the awesome video, it was very informational and exactly what I needed. Just wondering what is the difference between the Hakuhodo J and the S series other than the price? Is the S series worth it? Thanks a lot!!

Hi! Hakuhodo's blog has a good post here to explain the difference: hakuhodousa.wordpress.com/2013/12/04/how-are-the-series-different/ Ultimately, the S vermillion series have gold plated ferrules, slanted bottoms which chip easily and have to be stored flat and taken good care of, and the face brushes have chunkier handles than the J series and black and gold S series. I prefer the regular handles because they're less high maintenance.

1-fudejapan on instagram, he is excellent never had a problem. Good price, delivery and communication. I only use him now. 2- I have placed several orders with Ichibankao, price is higher. I get delivery in 1 week, from Japan to usa. 3- cdjapan, sometimes they have sales. I have waited few weeks for delivery, but no problems. Good luck n happy shopping.

Hi there! I was wondering if you would review the Chikuhodo sliver fox brush series. I was considering buying them but not sure if they are worth it.

Hi Bryant! Sorry for the late reply. I am planning on doing a review eventually. Hopefully soon but if you want a quick run down: they give a sheer, natural finish.

Does J531 have large enough surface area when used vertically to press powder into the skin instead of sweeping? Can you recommend any other angled goat brushes that could be used in such a way? Many thanks! :)

@saki maki Yes the J531 has a large enough surface area to press powder into the skin. You can see more angles of it on my blog. You could also try the Chikuhodo Takumi T-2 and a friend recommends the Kashoen slanted powder brush :)

If you select only one brush these Koyudo LMPG and Houkodou BZ-1. What do you recommend? (I don't know English:( watching your videos with subtitles.)

Hi Mari! I would recommend the Koyudo. LMPG is discontinued so now you can find it in the form of the soft Fu-Pa01 (white).
