Ok so, i really, ABSOLUTELY, love how the Japanese incorporated toasted rice into green tea, and BAM Genmaicha. The cereal sweetness from the toasted rice simmered with green tea is amazing and makes my eyes roll back into my skull it's delicious

Years ago, there was a Japanese steak house called Benihana of Tokyo. As I recall, the tea served had a very earthy, nutty taste. I loved it. The tea was served in a handmade earthen pottery cup. Can you suggest what kind of tea they served? Bancha perhaps? Another question is: do you think the cup influenced the taste of the tea? (Or perhaps just the experience of it?). At home, I usually drink my Japanese tea in a celadon porcelain cup. I would think that makes the tea taste more refined.
@Nioteas
@Nioteas 3 года назад
Yes the tea cup and teapot can definitely accentuate the flavors of the tea (adding minerality and even decreasing bitterness) but this is pretty slight. The tea you were served was likely either genmaicha or Bancha. Genmaicha Im thinking is more likely because this is commonly served at restaurants and it does have that nutty taste. Also Hojicha is a possibility!
@2youngbon2
@2youngbon2 3 года назад
Thank you for your thoughts. Yes, it very well could be that the tea served was Genmaicha!

Hi thanks for this. Does freezing your teas degrade them at all?
@Nioteas
@Nioteas Год назад
the humidity should be so low that you can keep them in the freezer if they are unopened. You don't want to store them after opening because then the humidity from the air will freeze and create "freezer burn"

In all these teas which one is best for weight loss and detoxification..plz suggest your suggestion will be highly appreciated 👍😊
@Nioteas
@Nioteas Год назад
when it comes to anything health related the answer will usually be matcha because you are drinking the entire leaf instead of just the extraction
@Nioteas
@Nioteas Год назад
the only thing with matcha is it is quite high in caffeine so if you are sensitive to it you may want to avoid matcha

@Nioteas

Its not really an indicator of quality necessarily because there are high quality green teas that are yellow. It's more the type of tea, in this case we are using deep steamed "fukamushi" teas. You can find some great ones on our website!
