I just got the Japanese guy's joke. Took me a couple listens. "Aru mikan no ue ni, Arumi-kan" It's a pun on "aru mikan" "that orange" and on top of it is "arumi-kan," an aluminum can. I appreciate the authenticity to Japanese dad humor.

I used to think asians were bug people. But after watching this I now know the only bug person is Adam. Well that and Gene Simmons

I showed my (Japanese) mum this hoping for a laugh: instead she complimented Adam on how leggy he was and how short his torso is so I’d say that’s pretty impressive feedback coming from my mum, also she said you’re good looking too :)

Knowing no Japanese, it would be hilarious if that guy's joke was "How can you tell if someone's American". It would then conclude perfectly with Adam asking if the joke was over and the guy saying yes.

His "joke" was アルミ缶の上にあるミカン in other words "a mikan (similar to orange) on top of an aluminium can" They have the same sound. It's a classic dad joke and he did it on purpose. His final phrase was 頑張って働きます(I will work hard and do my best) but it got translated as "Adam is a bug" lol

Im fairly new to the cumtown universe, I learned about it through Stav's crowdwork clips and Neoliberalhell on Insta and was kinda bummed out I started listening when Stave was leaving. Ive been binge watching clips and cant believe i never really heard of them/listened to them but TAFS has been pretty hilarious so far and Nick is like right up my sense of humor alley. excited to see what the show becomes
