My HS band did what was called a West Point formation, two broad and straight lines about 20 feet apart, sideline to sideline; played thus and marched down the field.
That drill work was next level. Walking over players bending over to zero hesitation quick tempo marching with Tuba & percussion in interweaving patterns. I would never try to play the violin while dancing, but I am sure it isn’t easy here either. Thank you RU-vid Algorithm!
On top of that the rules of the competition are out of this world😵 No pit Instruments are allowed meaning all instruments must be carried(They put an entire drum set in a carrier) Each performance should not exceed 6 minutes or the band will be disqualified they are given 1 minute to enter and exit the field All bands are required to do a specific drill including marching around the field.
This is a Senior High School Band apart from working @ there lessons they practice 35 hours a week.... They have travelled to the USA involved in the Pasadena Band Festival done stage productions, they would put a lot of adult paid dancers & bands to shame... In my opinion the Worlds best High School Band winning gold in all competitions they enter.... If I ever get chance to see them preform live I will jump @ the chance to see them ...... JUST AWESOME ALL OF THEM ...... PURE ENERGY & ENJOYING THEMSEVES ...... REX .....

no one can handle Tachibana, in terms of music or dance, they actually do everything to the perfect, they bring a lot of people in the world in great amazements of their ability. We just call it Japanese perfection, something only Japanese are master of I adore the girls of Tachibana 誰もが立花を扱うことができず、音楽やダンスの面で、彼らは実際にすべてを完璧に行います。 それを日本人の完璧と呼びます 立花の女の子が大好き
They used to do that a lot including twirling them horizontally overhead and passing from right hand to left hand behind their back....Now that they are switching to the far better & heavier brass instruments they seem to have stopped doing strange things with their Sousaphones. Just as well as I would be afraid that I would drop my Sousaphone if I tried pass it across my back 60 years ago (I always had full brass horn).
@@joshuanelson1675 ZTOOPID, was the OP talking about ALL clarinets? No, they said THOSE clarinets, meaning the ones in the video Edit: And I don't think anyone cares what you think since clarinets and saxes are really popular
What do you expect, it's the Tokyo Tachibana High School Marching Band aka The Orange Devils. They've been popular for many years. Winning tons of band competitions. Which is a no brained seeing pretty much all of their performances are flawless and 10x better than a majority of all bands across the world.
A very big round of applause to these students 👍👍👍👏👏👏 I couldn't imagine as they blow and dance.. awesome and incredible!!! Respect for your diligence and performance, SALUTE!!!💕👌⭐🔥❤️👍👏
Because they don't have school administrator that are so tight with the money that they squeak when they walk. Americans used to this, Until the cheapskates decided it costs too much money. Pay more to teachers and a whole lot less to useless "On The Take" Politicians.
The video title says this is from the 2018 competition. I believe it is from the 2015 competition. The 2017 DM, Ron, is still marching and playing clarinet in this video. Beautiful performance. The camera person gets an F.
@@josefernandezgarcia7115 TKS for clearing up when, what they played, class of some DMs:)) DM "Pimo" to me now is "Pimo-Chan", she has the cutest lil "Chipmunk' smile v"W"v---ALSO-some band member(s) called her "Pudding"---LOL
They are very entertaining but a bit of a one trick pony when it comes to competition. Amazing diversity in Japanese marching bands with both All-Japan and JMBA. Tachibana only does the first. My all-time favorite is Nishihara MB from the early 2000s with Spanish music themes and uniforms, and an incredible guard.
the very best band BUT person who filmed it tryed to many close ups and we missed what was going on should stayed in wide angle BUT still the very very best band
The best part were the windows they marched. IMO doing windows is the hardest part because you have to trust other high schoolers not to fuck up but otherwise playing steady while jazz running is harder. Their music didn’t really excite me but the visuals were pretty good.
Excellent performance. Was surprised by the quiet applause at the end. I didn't expect the awful sounds that have become popular in the US but I expected louder clapping and from more people in this audience.
Judging by the Japanese marching band contest I have streamed it appears that no matter how stunning the performance is there is just polite applause. I particularly love the reaction of the Tachiban members to the wild American applause when they were in the band contest in Pasadena. One time the cameraman was filming as he walked from the rear of the band to the front and the entire band had disappeared ahead of the Percussion/Sousaphone section. I was stunned because I had not heard an explosion & then l I noticed that the audience on both sides had turned orange... the entire front of the band was crouched down & fist-bumping/highfiving the little kids.
I wish that a clarinet or flute would help the overloaded drum kit player off the stage. The bass drum has enough to do just looking around her instrument.
2018 Pasadena C.A Rose Parade - TV KTLA, NBC, ABC: "Wow...", "Oh My God ...", "Dream ...", "Winners ...", "Amazing ..." --------------------- Incidentally, no major TV network stations, national newspapers, or magazines have reported on Kyoto Tachibana’s participation in the Tournament of Roses Parade. “The daily morning practice is from 7am to 8:30am. The after-school practice is from 4pm to 7pm. The Saturday practice is from 1pm to 7pm. We practice from 9am to 7pm on Sundays. And we have three-day summer vacation!” !! "No pay.
