It is nice to see you do different things in different place of your house. Maybe you should try more of that once in a while. Like cooking tutorial, dance tutorials(lol) or even try to react on different viral videos or maybe do it to yourself. It might boost the number of views or add new subscribers. But hey, your taste tests are good don't get me wrong! No harm in trying :)
One of my favorite things to do is when I'm cooking ramen on the stove, I crack an egg into the pot and let it poach with the noodles and seasoned water. So good! :P
Hi Tam! I love it when you ramble in your videos, it just shows more of your wonderful personality. I totally would have messed up those noodles too. Have you considered doing a small live stream or remain in the comments section for an hr to 'talk' to your viewers? Changing rooms for each noodle you tried was a great idea. :)
hahaha. I was just joking. You made me think of this one woman I came across when I 1st got my internet decades ago. She used to have her house done up with cameras and would life stream all day, including while she was sleeping. An actual camera on her night table...hows that for attention seeking. Tam would likely be fun in a live stream though.
I'm currently waiting for my first umai crate thanks for a fun enthusiastic video, I dont see many videos where people actually taste test it properly let alone the whole box and process. Thanks for being so complete, love seeing different foods. Subscribed!

This was such a great video, Tam! I'm always interested in trying new types of ramen but my local market doesn't really have much of a selection when it comes to ramen that isn't made in America, so this crate seems like a great idea. And the yakisoba one looked REALLY good--definitely getting a craving to order some ramen later

Thanks for showing us what a wide variety of ramen noodles there are, Tam, and for showing us some of your beautiful home. You may have felt that your kitchen "is pretty dirty right now", but believe me, I would love for my kitchen to be that dirty. I'm a bachelor, I don't have very high standards when it comes to that sort of thing.

Lovely review Tam, your videos always cheer me up. :) I love seafood with noodles, but I sometimes find that things with dehydrated shrimp or "shrimp flavour" can actually smell like an Agriculture Fair (aka like cow butt). I dunno what happens to the shrimp when it's condensed like that but it's not great. X'D
That kitsune udon (the second one you had) is one of my favorites. It's kinda expensive in my area so I don't get it very often. The mattress that came with it is called aburaage which is basically a sheet of fried tofu. The whole thing is called kitsune udon because there's a belief that the favorite food of kitsune (fox spirits) is (and you probably know where I'm going with this) aburaage.
Hey, I've had times where I've not read all the directions for something or read them wrong. Glad the dish worked out well. The one dish you tried that did not smell good, you might try adding a liquid or something else to it that would give off a good smell, if you decide to have the same dish again. All the food looked good, but my favorite was the one with the mayonnaise in it. I love mayonnaise. Very good video.
half noodles are great and rest is whatever if you prefer. we got a soup spoon and a collapsible to go chop sticks w/ case which i thought was super cool.
The chopsticks are cute I suppose they would be good for kids training to use them. My grandpa taught me how to use chopsticks when I was little he told me that I didn't want to be one of those people who used a folk when eating Chinese food LOL...he had rules.

Bonito is a type of oily fish that is dehydrated. Cats love it. If you ever see this in an Asian market, you should buy it. You will find every cat in the neighborhood, and it is safe for them to eat. The Japanese name for it is katsuo. かつお。
You mentioned sprouts. In the Halloween episode of "Bottom", Richie and Eddie eat Sprouts Mexicanne which are sprouts which consist of pinch of chili powder, jar of curry powder, hint of tobasco sauce and gunpowder. After they eat it, they fart fire.
How do you like your ramen normally? I add stuff to mine each time too. I like to have some of the green onions , a hard boiled egg cut in half, mixed veggies, and depending on if I got any extra some chicken or turkey meat. I also have been adding turmeric to the broth, it gives it a nice spice and makes eating turmeric a lot more doable for me. It was nice seeing all those different noodles. And I am glad you knew how bad U-Dong sounded. I have to admit I sang a song about it while being immature. Hope everything is going well.
Halie : ) Yes same here I always add vegetables and other stuff makes it so much more enjoyable (makes me feel less guilty for eating instant noodles) Never thought of adding turmeric and it would make your noodles a nice orange colour. U-Dong sounds wrong sing alone if you know the song LOL

I didn't try instant noodles until was 13 my Malaysian friend introduced me to them use to go to her house after school, she use to call them Mee noodles : ) I don't have them a lot but every now and then I have a craving for them and I always add stuff : ) Eating the noodles dry wow never tried that before he must really love noodles.
tofu is a tough one for me to like. See... the mattress taste kinda grows on ya. The packaging was fascinating. I love garlic, but if it was excessive, I get ya. Sea-ish! Ha! You added a lot of your own fresh stuff... did you do that on your own or do a lot of these packages recommend that? Fun comments!! :)
Hi George : ) Yes the mattress taste does kind of grow on me LOL I am getting more use to tofu I'm okay with garlic but not in big doses I think it can overpower a dish. I added the things they recommended things but I've always added extra stuff to my noodles makes me feel less guilty about eating instant noodles.

I usually don't keep water in my ramen so I tried that today, turns out I like it better to drain the water than put on the flavor packet. At least with the cheap american versions of ramen. I need to try more flavors and brands to see what is good.

I googled U-dong, means seafood I think. When I actually tried google translate it would not translate, either way you don't like dong, thats all that matters. You are much better with chop sticks then I am. I was at a food court at a mall in Canada the other day and got myself some Chinese food with re-fried rice. I am getting better with chop sticks and i can eat rice with them now...sort of...the rice had a sort of rice ball in it and I figured I could get it to my mouth with the sticks...nope, the rice ball sort of exploded with rice down my front...what can you do? I laughed and scooped up the mess with my hand and popped it in my mouth and kept using the chop sticks.
