We had both the hard candy cigarettes like you show and the chocolate ones. There was a little powder sugar in the wrapper of the chocolate ones so you could blow and simulate smoke.😂 Ahhh back when I was a kid and that makes me older than dirt🎉
The barrs raspberry is a Scottish brand the same company that makes irn bru, and the fry’s cream is actually the first ever manufactured chocolate bar in the world from 1873 😊
Hi Tam I'd love to try all those items. They all looked so good. Maybe because it's 730 pm and I've not had dinner 😂 Thank you for sharing see you next time
Hi Tam you had a real selection of old fashioned Brit treats and newer ones there 🙂 I love Midget Gems but 100% prefer the Lion brand. Those raspberry top biccies are nice aren't they. Haven't seen the lemon ones here yet. Can't say am keen on any of the other things. Love seeing you explore everything every week tho 😊😊
Loved the little raspberry and lemon top biscuits I was so excited when I saw them in our local supermarket (we don't get a big selection there usually) Thanks so much Helen hope you are having a good week.
Hi, I enjoy the videos. I'm from the UK and seens most of these. The mini gems, I remember being called midget gems as a kid and the frys chocolate is the original flavour and I remember seeing somewhere that it was the 1st filled chocolate ever made too, so it's obviously been loved by many people for a very long time.
Hi Gazz, I remember the Frys chocolates being very popular here in Australia in the 70s when I was a kid my parents even sold them at our family run cinema I remember them sitting in a special stand back when presentation of things didn't seem so generic. I am sure there is something about nostalgia making things taste better I think my favourite is the mind one.
@@CheekyTam yep things were always better as a kid. I remembered after writing the comment that my mother used to tell us as kids that one of her aunts ues to eat the frys cream bars in a slice of buttered bread, a concept I never did get my head around, and I've never been able to get the liking for chocolate type spreads on bread either hahaha lol.
Thanks so much for watching and commenting I really do appreciate it. It was a bit of a struggle finding all of these British items not always easy to source.
Tam, have you had different Butterfingers? Our Butterfingers in the US are chocolate covered flaky peanut butter candy bars. They're not typical toffee. From Wikipedia "Butterfinger is a candy bar made by the Ferrara Candy Company, a subsidiary of Ferrero. The candy bar is made up of a peanut butter core covered in a chocolatey coating." Not making fun, just alleviating your confusion ❤
Thanks for that Jan I rarely get to have a Butterfinger all I remember is them tasting like peanut and having a really nice toffee like crunch. Love them
Great snack show Tam! You have entertaining sour facial expressions! The chips sound too hot for me. The cheese doodles seem to be the thinner type, and the thicker ones are called cheese puffs, I believe.
Great video, Tam! You're right about those Reed's butterscotch candies being around for a long time - the Reed Candy Company started in 1893. It has had a number of ownership changes through the years, and doesn't offer as many products as they once did, but I'm glad they kept their butterscotch hard-boiled sweets. Honey Maid has a few different flavors of their graham crackers, like cinnamon and even chocolate, but their traditional flavor is the most well known. If you haven't used up the remaining packets, you can enjoy an old-fashioned smores by combining the crackers with marshmallows and a plain chocolate bar.
That’s what we use in the United States to make s’mores ! I love graham crackers with peanut butter and honey on them or open a tub of ready make cake frosting and put between two crackers for a yummy treat. Graham crackers are an American staple
We make s’mores with theses crackers.. use marshmallows, a good quality chocolate bar.. also many other desserts can be made with these crackers. Or you can simply spread peanut butter onto it.
Thanks John 🎉 Tam, Honey Maid are Graham crackers. Really a plain cookie you can customize. Yup made with wholw whest and graham flour. They are great with tea. We spread things on them ; peanut butter, plain soft butter nutella, jam, biscoff cookie spread, thing like that. Not cheese though. Also we crush them to make crumb crust for pies and cheesecake. Use crumbled on ice cream. Put ice-cream between two and freeze for ice-cream sandwiches. They are quite versatile. Do you not have Graham crackers in Australia?🎉❤
Honey Maid is a brand of graham cracker like smores are made with. Graham flour is their primary ingredient. They are one of a number of things originally invented to try to reduce one's level prurient/sexual interest.

Another jam packed German taste test! Plus with Tim again. There were so many that sounded good... I'd have to name them all. I'd go for the chocolate ones first of course.
