Tamaki Matsuoka, a history teacher in a primary school in Osaka, thought there were contradictory assertions over what actually happened in Nanjing in 1937 and wanted to know more about it. Over 27 years, Matsuoka traveled to China more than 80 times. In 2010, her documentary,"Torn Memories of Nanjing" was shown at the Hong Kong International Film Festival.

@ピンボール-c5e

actually, most of the people in Japan admit, and the Japanese government acknowledged and apologized for the fact that there was a slaughter in Nanjing. However, the reason why this incident hasn't been solved is that there's an unclear thing between Japan and China that how many people actually massacred in Nanjing.
@sanathabbas3659
@sanathabbas3659 3 года назад
@@ピンボール-c5e That's actually funny. I don't understand what profits can Chinese get from exaggerating the number of death in the first place. Are Chinese going ask for more compensation for it? Apparently no. Massacre is massacre, no matter 100k or 300k. Everybody knows China was weak and disordered at that moment. It's quiet reasonable to me that the Chinese government gave a rough number of death. Or do you suppose the Chinese to dig every corpse and recognize if it's generated during the Nanking Massacre? In general, it doesn't make much difference to me whether the death number is 100k or 300k. They are both uncountable death abide with the fact that the empire of Japan slaughtered the innocent civilians. It somehow shocked me that the Japanese government insists and emphasizes the death of number is not true. Will change the number of death make those Butchers look a bit better? Come on man. Are you talking about " Oh this guy's evil level is 30, let's make it 29 now" XD. That's a bad joke dude. Objectively, it only looks like you wanna save your ego somehow. I can understand why she would rightly fear retaliation from the cowardly Imperial Japanese soldiers who murdered unarmed civilians especially women and children in Nanjing. Those "men" were too spineless to fight an armed male enemy soldier then and would have taken great personal satisfaction in physically attacking a small, unarmed woman 20 or 30 years later just to protect themselves.

As long as you acknowledge the history...no reason to feel "bad," about the actions..should only feel bad that they are covered up. All nations have done such horrible things...the difference is between people acknowledging it or not! Like America and the native Americans /Japanese internment camps. Or how China has treated it's own citizens, and also the atrocities of the "great leap forward," and the "cultural revolution." (Kids literally snitching on their family..getting their own family condemned and killed. Now a days the snitch culture remains...and those that condemned their elders, now want their own kids/grandkids to worship the ground they walk on/be obedient (to be filial) honestly kinda hypocritical...kill your own elders, but expect your own juniors to worship you... African kingdoms that entire economies relied on slavery. Selling off their enemies into slavery for 100s of years. Then we have the ottoman empires atrocities...forcing all into submission. Then the crusades, atrocities by both Christians and muslims. Then we have the catholic vs protestant massacres. This barely scratches the surface of human atrocities. There are two things we have to keep from happening 1) prevent history revisionism, to not downplay every nations horrid actions. And 2) We can not allow modern nations to cherry pick which tragedies that they recognize...just for political means. Like how China recognizes the Nanjing Massacre, but does not acknowledge any of their own atrocious actions... These 2 things are very important! We must acknowledge the past. But that does not mean to feel personal blame....Just should not cover it up.

Operation Ichi-Go is an operation conducted by the Japanese Army on the Chinese mainland from April 17th to December 10th, 1944 during the Sino-Japanese War. It was the last major offensive of the Japanese Army, which caused the National Revolutionary Army to be hit hard and affected during the Chinese Civil War. However, on the other hand, the United States is also mediating the conclusion of the Double Tenth Agreement with Chiang Kai-shek in order to avoid a civil war. According to a study by Barbara W. Tuchman, the results of this operation had a more significant impact on the subsequent war situation than the Japanese had imagined, and had a decisive impact on Japan's fate. According to it, Franklin Roosevelt has consistently strongly trusted and supported Chiang Kai-shek since the beginning of the war, and encouraged him in the war against Japan so that he would not drop out of the Allies in a single peace with Japan during the Cairo Conference. However, he said that he changed his mind because the front of Chiang Kai-shek collapsed due to this operation. In fact, Chiang Kai-shek has not been invited to important Allied conferences ("Yalta Conference" and "Potsdam Conference") since then. According to the Stilwell document, Roosevelt said, "Can China win?" Stilwell said, "There is no choice but to eliminate Chiang Kai-shek." During the 1944 Hengyang battle, he could not sleep at night and twice. He says he thought about suicide. The American side also planned to assassinate Chiang Kai-shek, and three methods of "poisoning", "aircraft incident", and "pretending to be suicide" were considered, but it was canceled in 1944 due to changes in the international situation such as Burma. The successor that the United States envisioned is Sun Fountain. As Roosevelt's Chief of Staff George Marshall and General Joseph Stilwell have long insisted, Chiang Kai-shek's army is actually a demoralized and corrupt organization that does not form an army. It became clear that he had no desire or ability to fight with the United States and other Allied forces. As a result, President Roosevelt changed the scenario of the operation against Japan from the conventional bombing of Japan and other countries from the air bases of mainland China to the one that MacArthur and others claimed to occupy the islands of the Pacific Ocean one after another. China was dismissed at the Yalta Conference, and the Allied nation's footsteps were disturbed, with angry Chiang Kai-shek presenting a peace plan to Japan against the will of the United States. In the Japan-US negotiations, Japan's allegations were peace by the confluence of Wang Jingwei of the Nanjing government and Chiang Kai-shek of the Chongqing government, and a proposal for defense from communism jointly by Japan and China. The US allegation was the withdrawal of Japanese troops from China, admitting only the Chongqing government. The negotiations broke down and the United States stopped oil, resulting in a war between Japan and the United States. The Japanese Operation Ichi-Go attack left the National Revolutionary Army with 750,000 casualties. This caused the Kuomintang to lose to the Communist Party in the civil war. China would not have been dominated by the dictatorship Communist Party if it had made peace with Japan and cooperated in protecting it from communism.

Asia is broken and has bled a hundred times over. Only by realizing how much it has bled and how it was cut can it ever truly come together and heal those wounds. History should never be tainted or hidden. Countries need to forget their pride as individual nations and need history in its purest form. The most beautiful history is also the truest. No nation is innocent, that is true, but people are. People deserve to live, and war takes away that right for every individual it touches. Its effects last through generations and generations. In the end, no one truly wins in any war. By working together, so much more can be achieved for every side involved, and by learning from our pasts, we can better understand that people, no matter where they are from, are always people.

At the time of the Nanjing Massacre, there was almost no infrastructure when the Japanese troops entered Nanjing. In other words, most of the residents of Nanjing (population of 1 million or more) have already evacuated from Nanjing. The lack of infrastructure is the decisive reason why there were no Nanjing residents. Nanjing is a big city that requires 550,000 people including 250,000 survivors, assuming that the number of people slaughtered is 300,000. Even if there was a Japanese bombing, there should be a considerable amount of debris. But there is nothing in the video. Compare it with the city of Shanghai and Chongqing.

Most of the Nanjing residents were in the Jon Rabe's humanitarian "safety zone" which was outside the city. The refugees were killed because IJA assumed there were Chinese soldiers in civilian disguise (surrendered Chinese soldiers?) amongst them. Bombs that the planes which were used in the Chinese invasion - namely Ki-27/D3A/A5M - could carry, were no heavier than 50 kg. Ki-27 and A5M are fighters and can only carry two 50 kg bombs. D3A can carry five 50 kg bombs or a 250 kg bomb but only one and even then, these bombs were HE, they could damage wooden buildings but not concrete or stone masonry. Most of the buildings in Nanjing were stone masonry which is common for traditional Chinese architecture. A 250 kg bomb may create an explosion strong enough to damage a stone wall, but a 50 kg - not, it's mainly anti personnel.

The "Battle of Nanking" written by Tamaki Matsuoka is a big lie. In 2000, when she was interviewed, only 30 soldiers from the 33rd Infantry Regiment were alive, but her book says that she interviewed 59. Moreover, they are all pseudonyms. It's not worth considering because such a crazy thing is a "witness of the Nanjing Massacre". When it comes to "testimony of the Nanjing Massacre," everyone in the Allies, including China, trusts and praises them without verification, but they are addicted to Chinese propaganda.

This is what nationalism does, it blinds you from reality, i know it diesnt feel good to admit your nations wrong doing, but if you never face your demons your demons will always haunt you.

@@moldveien1515 You haven't read this Tamaki Matsuoka book. The names of the Japanese soldiers that appear are all pseudonyms, and of the 102 people who are said to have been interviewed, 59 are supposed to belong to the 33rd Infantry Regiment. It is known that there were only 30 survivors of the regiment. So it's clear that this book is a big lie. As you say, I'm not writing because it's not convenient for my country. I only seek the truth. It's different from you.

@@bluehawaii0007 ah ok, so you dont deny the rape kf nanking? Its just a bad book? I am not chinese but i have been to nanjing and visited John Rabe's house and i was very disgusted at how some people can deny what happened, but if its just the book you dont like thats diffrent.

@@moldveien1515 You don't even look it up yourself, you just blindly believe in Chinese propaganda. You haven't read John Rabe's diary either. If you read John Rabe's diary, you can see that Rabe received money from the Kuomintang and hid soldiers of the Kuomintang army in a safe zone. This alone shows that he was not a neutral person, but a completely Chinese person. Hiding Chinese soldiers in uniform is a tort that violates the Hague Land War Treaty. In other words, it is clear that John Ra was a war criminal. You don't even know such a simple thing.
