Before Roland's era, people didn't like "flashy" or "overconfidence". Bro literally had to wait a couple years for people's tastes to develop enough to start appreciating him. Man is like a walking, talking fine wine.
@@kisukehitoshi2375Some people use the over confident persona as their humor. I know a guy who may seem cocky when you first met him but a very gentle person.
It’s kinda scam strategy, gaslighting propaganda and fake supporters to confirm how ‘special’ and ‘difference’ he is… then ppl and business come to him 🤷♀️
Joey the anime man recently interviewed him and he’s a nice guy that is friendly. He’s the type of guy if you want someone to talk to. Also he’s an otaku but doesn’t tell his customers he likes anime because apparently it drives them away.
he's also an absolute chad, whatever mundane task we do as peasants in our daily lives is how many times he has slept with women, he is literally singlehandedly increasing Japans birth rate with all the s3x he does, he is literally saving Japan one woman at a time
@@phantom1-xv4kk A long time ago men found a habitable place in the middle of the ocean, they called it "Roland", but then they changed it to "Island", cause nobody can step on Roland.
Just for clarification, shops don't sell expired bread at half price in Japan, they sell soon-to-be-expiring bread at half price at the end of the day (or the morning of the next day if it is still not expired in the evening).
@@SyenPiehe advertises his the best host and shows it off as a trophy and his greatest achievement. so does that not something you back up by showing you actually are the best and your arrogance is justified?
Man is an closet otaku that just came out and a easy going guy if you know his tastes in anime and manga and impress him through that while being confident and in front of him😂, Reply if you know what I am talking about 😂
Yep he got his finance priority right. Before his video with Joey I remember he already said he got this big because other hosts before him don't have savings because they'll get more the next day anyway, then suddenly they're not popular anymore.
@@de-fumetbh I'm quite surprised that the other hosts don't think of investment because I assume they all know that working in the industry is a very short time career because you won't be young and beautiful forever. But i guess many people are just that yolo 😅
@@anxx5233 I suppose it's a never ending circle. They're young and reckless yes but they also should give back to the customers to keep a certain level of personal relationship to keep them coming back. I think the host on asianboss talked about it. He gets many expensive gifts on his birthday but he has to give his clients birthday gifts too all year round.
The thing about Roland is his built different, dude read a manga and said “i wanna be a host” he failed for a few years but peaked years later, what other hosts just don’t do is keep going. As Roland Said alot of Hosts quit when they don’t make enough money, Roland didn’t quit causing him to gain experience. His talked about how he has studied how people act in an interview with Joey. He clearly has knowledge on how to be a proper host. Roland is giving chance to other hosts by retiring. What’s so great about Roland is when he retires being a host he uses new businesses. Whether he gets sales of those businesses from customers being amazed by the efficiency or by the brand (Roland himself since his still well known). It’s something many popular people don’t do. Which is to use their fame to get more money
Just watching his clips, and then i had to agree why someone pay huge money just to get his service. He a living legend on his field. And yess, he is Zlatan of Japan..😊
And he’s actually good at football and truly a football fan, I saw the video of him use Henry trick fake kick(must be a football fan to know that move) and do 100 kick ups on TV show 😆
Male host actually only provide entertainment to their customers like chatting and drinking with them for a set of time. They don't necessarily go around sleeping with their customers unless it's for a personal reason
No?? I have seen this Roland dude like SO MANY times in yt. +he is making millions of dollars,he is interviewed by popular interviewers so he is actually really popular. The ones who don't know him are living under a rock :)
@@purecharms5880 I mean you gotta watch some better things if this comes in your fyp Sure a guy who has destroyed the lives of many women isn't someone who you fantasize about, right? Your fyp says a LOT about a person's true nature🙂
@@zeyv4551 I like people who are considerate and kind. The dudes a sweet guy. He’s quite the pretty individual if I do say so myself. Not everyone is interested in certain people. Everyone has different tastes and that’s honestly a great thing.
usually if i hear the things he says from someone else, id probably be pissed off and be like "come off your high horses" or "be humble" but after learning more about him, i think he is the only person who can say the things he does and it suits him. I think his view of life is very admirable and i have come to respect him. He is very hard working, and determined, there are many admirable qualities about him. He is really one of a kind
Because people like authenticity and even if Roland seems "arrogant" cause he has a lot of self-confidence, people will start to realize how fun he is to talk to. And he's a pretty nice guy! That's why people like him. When I saw him speak for the first time, I instantly knew why he is so popular. I would honestly enjoy his presence, too!
roland is the type of person that deserves the success they have. at his core, roland is a very humble man who is just riding the wave. he is witty, sensible, and charismatic. he is a beacon of proof on what can happen if you have enough preservation and confidence.
I find it really interesting that Japanese women like such feminine looking men to the point that Roland is a superstar despite looking almost like a girl. I've heard many times that the ideal Japanese guy to Japanese women tends to be the pretty boy, but it seems like their society has taken this aesthetic to the next level and made men as pretty as women lol. Roland wouldn't be nearly as famous in Western countries because they tend to go for a more masculine, chiseled appearance in general, so this is really interesting to see. I'm also not saying he's ugly by any means (I find both feminine and masculine men attractive), I just thought it would be interesting to point out the stark difference in attractive male traits in different parts of the world...
Agreed, its quite interesting. My hypothesis is that the women are looking for someone who has feminine features (since those are universally sought after by men AND women) and looks kind, yet still brings masculine energy through the way he talks and acts.
@@balazsdusek Certainly, that's true. There are plenty of Japanese women who like other appearances in men, however the focus of many Asian countries on feminine looking men as the norm in terms of what is considered to be attractive cannot be understated. For instance, in the West, body hair, chiseled jaws, beards and very muscular physiques are sought after in men, whereas in Asia, slender bodies, soft hands, no body hair, no beard, and a cute/boyish appeal is extremely popular. In fact, from what I've seen of Japanese expectations of appearance, a man having facial hair, body hair (including armpit and leg hair), and being too muscular is seen by many to be unkempt or intimidating, and isn't acceptable in a lot of workplaces, surprisingly enough. There is also the factor that many Asian men tend to be naturally skinny with little to no body hair, so it makes sense that their society wouldn't emphasize that as what is deemed attractive - yet to Westerners, these things are all still more on the feminine side of appearance rather than the masculine. It's interesting to note, but you're right, there are exceptions.
@@SukottoX I also agree. My hypothesis is slightly different though, in that I, speaking as a woman, have always felt more comfortable around men who exude feminine energy or look more feminine, and I know many other women who share the same sentiments. This could have been an evolutionary tactic of Japanese men to use their feminine charms in order to disarm and charm women (a masculine man with a huge muscular body is intimidating and is often stereotyped as cavemanish, unfeeling and one-minded, especially in a patriarchal country like Japan where many women are not treated with respect by many men; feminine men are associated more with the use of their intellect, grace, gentle handling of women, and consideration for their emotions - basically the opposite of the patriarchal, masculine man). Women tend to also be more fluid in their sexuality than men (this has been studied and proven true), leading to them not being put off by a man who is very feminine. Femininity also means a man puts more effort into his appearance and cleanliness, as women do, which is also a big attraction to women. There are many, many reasons why women like feminine men and it's interesting to see how traits associated with masculinity has evolved in Japan over time :)
honestly i don't even like his visuals but eventually want to check out more things about him cuz damn he has such an interesting and charming personality! with a pleasantly surprising gap that he's an otaku haha. and now that i know thru your video about how hardworking he is to get to the top and his attitude of not bowing to the typical standards, I GET MORE INTERESTED.
@@allyclara1731 hahaha i just feel like some parts of his face feel unnatural (e.g., his nose)... nowadays ppl can get job done on their face and look natural but he doesn't, at least to me🤣🤣 but now i realise his smile looks pretty cute esp once i watched his videos haha
I watched an interview of this guy a few days back. He's an absolute charmer! Has great communication skills, is very understanding, such a good listener and has such smooth way of talking! People might not like his looks or whatever but the man is a total charmer. Personality is everything man!
He’s not really physically attractive as he seems slightly botched or overdone with cosmetic surgery BUT he is very kind and confident. I find that intriguing more than looks. Hell, the guy in talking to now isn’t very attractive but he treats me very well so I stay. In the end, that’s what truly matters ❤
oh my god japan. saw a recent interview with him and he seems so nice and friendly and i just wanna be his friend lol. hes VERY charismatic and i know he said he studied how to talk to people and he perfected it for sure.
