I heard multiple Diwan in punjab when I was kid, but when I started understanding by own I stopped it as most of them are always trying to defame other religions in any way and they don't talk about guru and waheguru that much that they talk about things which are totally prohibited by gurbani, but when I started listening you, I found my inner voice joying like someone is going to give answers for our questions without asking, Singh Saab you have great understanding and guru's blessings, Thanx a lot for explaining it and please continue, if there are Punjabi preechings also please let me know, as my parents don't know English and I want them too to listen to you

Thank you, Waheguru ji 💗in the last 50 years this is the first time that have come across something that makes japji so much clearer!! Most of this resonates with the heart and is known within, without words…yet the outer conformation floors me!

thank you thank you thank you It is very difficult to come by such detailed information for non punjabi speakers, even though there is a book called language and grammar of SGGS which is meant to be aimed at English speakers, but it doesn't really bridge the gap. And you present it in such a pleasant way. Please continue if you can, it is very much needed and appreciated. Thank you

Agree, I listened to all episodes and then started to learn Gurmukhi, and I know, now, how to read, but the understanding part is still lacking, so I´m listening again, to take my notes. Being born in a non-Punjabi family, makes it more challenging, it´s a lot to learn, but I know I will make it. Looking back, I can see how far I´ve come already

That is a beautiful explanation and very close to one that I used to imagine. But I wasn't clear about many things. You explained "Hukam Rajain Chalanaa" in very unique way. Your understanding is untouched from other narrations and terminologies that most of the narrators borrow from other religions. I loved your pure way of thinking. Thanks a lot. May Waheguru keep you nirlape from haumaen. 🙌

The first scholar I have seen who interprets ‘sochai’ in Japji Sahib to mean ‘bathing’ and not thinking or worrying. The word ‘soch’ comes from the Sanskrit word ‘shauch’ which means to clean, usually by bathing. I marvel at Bhai Satnam Singh Ji’s understanding and interpretation of our Gurbani. Through his interpretations many concepts in the upnishads have been clarified for me.

As a clarification, The Buddha left his fellow ascetics. That the mortification of the body, not just being hungry, was not a useful practice. This is where the path of moderation, or the middle way developed, as a useful mode for living, and awakening.

Gurfateh. Firstly, my heartfelt thanks for the videos I've seen so far on the explanation of the Mool Mantar. Having looked at and read the English interpretations of Japji Sahib I've really struggled to get my head round 'hukam'. My first question on reading Japji Sahib being "so what is the hukam"?. To get a clearer understanding may I humbly ask you some questions? Using say an extreme scenario of witnessing something bad happening to someone , for example , a woman being raped , what is one's hukam ? To intervene? To not intervene? Is hukam to accept what has just happened ? Or accept also what is happening? (I suppose it's trying to understand is hukam intervention and / or acceptance ?") Apologies for the rather large comment and once again a BIG THANK YOU !

Gurfateh Ji, accepting hukam in everything is the key message here. Even if we have the determination to fight injustice, that is also part of our hukam. We can only fight if we are commanded to do so by the Divine will. So the Khalsa carries a Kirpan to be ready to accept that calling from hukam whenever it arrives.

Truthful is the means to the virtuous realm, the other side is the false side lack of truth, virtues have no bias or favoritism and it is a consequence of the truth , bias comes from falsehood in other words the five vices are the consequence of some sort of bias , Hukam Rajei chalna doest mean you let things happen you still deal with it but within the bounds of virtuous realm ; you are going to deal with the situation with understanding not hate , you are not going to let the situation or the other person turn you or bring you down to there level in other words you are not going to become hateful , you are going to deal with understanding meaning you are going to understand that there is a veil or misunderstanding or falsehood that is causing the other person to act they way he does, had it not for his falsehood, veil over his perception he wouldn't have act as such, with understanding your own actions are out of compassion and pity not hate and anger, you are never going to let others be the basis of your own nature, your own nature cannot be altered or deviated from on the basis of others actions, your actions are going to be just even though the other were not, you are going to stay just no matter how severe or badly the other treated you, your actions are going to be bound by the virtues never overshadowed by the vices

@@NanakNaam Sir can a person who dislikes his own laziness/procratination (Tamoguna) & is guilty due to this tendency/pattern of laziness can accept this nature of body as part of the Hukam ? Will people who are already filled with lots of laziness take wrong advantage of the teaching of Hukum & continue their wrong deeds & creat more mess for themselves & their families. Or is it appropriate to say that laziness or lazy people are part of hukum? What are the possibilities of people taking wrong advantage of these Godly teachings ? understanding or dealing the situation with understanding means regardless of how severely/badly the other treated you , you are still going to stay just in your actions , you are not going to turn into a hateful person, what I mean by this is that any bad action is the cause of some sort misunderstanding or bias or error in judgement or failure to see/veil over there understanding (Sooji) so how can you hate the person it wasn't his fault he acted out of his falsehood but deep down he is human , in him virtues were overshadowed with the vices (parda) you can reference kabirs salok here (tu tu karta tu huia Muj mai raha na hu ) I can understand where the other person came from or how the other persons actions were the victim of his falsehood (ahka parda utth gia tad dehka tad tu), how can I hate anyone everywhere I look it's you , so when you act against the mad man you deal with it out of compassion , you stay within the bound of the virtuous domain unaffected by the vices not getting entangled in the moment ,
