@@bbtodd ofc but brokeys like me on tv with console it’s our best shot at realism now being able to see mirrors and crashing isn’t fun I also love cockpit mode just not this year it’s too much life’s easier without
@@Rowan66109 true, but tv pod view, you still can't use the mirrors, you do get a just slightly better field of view but still have to rely a lot on the proximity arrows or using the look back button to know what's going on behind you.
For real though, the fact that even the "pros" drive with TV pod view is a big reason why the F1 game looks "arcade" I don't get it. No other sim games you see this except Forza. It's just stupid to have a sim rig and not drive in cockpit view.
@@pinkypromises714 How come they can manage cockpit view in other sims then? They have curved or triple monitors. Or rear view, or spotters or proximity arrows.
@@bbtodd if i had to spend on 3 monitors to have fov on a coloured game, better to invest on a go kart then this is neither one of the worst issues of the f1 game tho, the handling is terrible and a lot of bugs to begin with
I mean, if you get that vid as response that t cam is also for drivers, then you can say formula 1 is a T cam sport. It isnt. He has a point. You are not racing as T cam but as cockpit so yeah he has a valid point
before any meat mangler goes crazy at me, Im not saying Jarno isn't a real driver. What Im saying is F1 is the game, and I doubt F1 drivers stand 3 ft ontop of the car seat when driving, so unless they want to make the competitive scene less arcadey they should force cockpit cam. Nothing against Jarno.
Yep. Cockpit cam should be forced and you'll see half the grid drop off because they cant corner with a full view of who's next to them. A big reason why iRacing players think F1 competitive is just pretend competitive and clownery.
