But Miller is my actual favorite character in the 100

🥺 I want to cry (for the millionth time)! After all these years, you'd think I wouldn't have tears left for this character and all his missed chances, but here I am 🙃 I really hope Jarod knows how much Miller has meant to all of us and even though it doesn't feel like much of an impact was made, he has left a mark on both communities he spoke to through his character. I'm so sorry he briefly lost a part of his passion for growing in his art due to the lack of appreciation for Miller, both as a character and blatant symbol that speaks to our world today. He was paid less than dust role-wise, but I promise a positive message was received by viewers through what little he was able to do on a show that clearly didn't care to embrace the possibilities they created through the narrative in the first place. He and Miller deserved better! I'm so happy Jarod rediscovered his excitement to find inspiration through watching and taking in the craft of others on TV again. He may have fallen into this career path by chance and lack of options, but he clearly loves what he does and having that happiness and feeling that influence as a viewer who's also a part of the acting world, has to be a whole different level of exciting for him. He deserves to always feel happy and inspired by what he loves! I've been watching The 100 since premiere night of season 1 and Miller was always at the top of my list, despite the lack of appreciation and care to really get into his story over the years. Miller was and always will be more than the henchmen who stood in the back and held the gun! He's an example of what loyalty, dedication, and strength look like! He's a black, gay man (started as a teen in the show!) living in a world with standards that far differ from this one, while at the same time, standing out as a hero in his own right to many viewers by taking on the standards of this world, and challenging them. He was an unspoken leader, a warrior (too early in life), arguably had the most loyalty of anyone to pass through this show, a proud gay black man with friends and (as far as we know) a single father who supported him to the (literal) ends of the earth! He acknowledged his faults and wrongs, tried to atone and fix what he could, expressed his self (all where the writing allowed for it 😑), stood by what he believed with all the conviction under the sun, knew when to stand down from the fight for the better of his people and how/when to shift gears to keep things going. Miller was a fucking Unicorn and I'll always be bitter about him being paid crumbs, especially when this show (intentionally or not) hit the ground running with so many challenges to the norms of our current society, just to let that flop! You guys hit the nail on the head when it comes to simply ticking boxes without providing substance behind it- defeating the purpose of even having those boxes checked since it did nothing (actively) to impact the story. It'll always hurt that so much of that build up feels so hollow in retrospect, but I'll always appreciate the passion and dedication Jarod gave to Miller - for damn near a decade! He meant more than a hell of a lot of storylines and plot points did in entire seasons (at least to me), just by standing there and holding that damn gun. He deserved better! Great things are coming for Jarod in the future and I truly hope he holds onto the lesson that he is worth the investment, worth the care! If you can make this great of an impact as you have while being reduced to the side guy who holds the gun for 7 years (despite being worth so much more), imagine what you can do somewhere where your growth and your passion for your work is nurtured and encouraged! You're already great, but you will be greater! Thank you for your dedication, despite the seemingly small pay out. So many of us have loved Miller and are grateful to have had him. We love you Jarod!

I've watched the entire video and the thing that came to my mind is that I'm so proud of Jarod. I'm a fan of The 100 since a few years now and I've looked up to him since that moment and I still do and surely will for a long time. You guys talked about how complicated people are, they're not just black and white and Jarod is like that and that makes him a person we want to know and understand. I laughed during this video but also wanted to cry at some point like, the shit with his character on The 100 like he was just there, standing, holding the gun, we all noticed that and we want(ed) more, it was such an opportunity and the writers didn't even care, such a waste... Just, if Jarod see this, he just needs to know that (at least on person on earth), I understand what he says, I wish I knew more because I truly believe he deserves a lot of good things, a fck big career and stuff and I'm so proud of him. He did great and he will do more great. No hesitation. (Even tho I noticed the moment when you were lost at work) Keep your strength 💪 Cassandra (he'll know who it is tho)

I agree that the ball was dropped on the character Miller. It's unfortunate that we only saw more of him with Jackson on season 7. Knowing who he was as a person would have been nice instead of just the yes man but the series felt like survival overall. I did like the 100 that although there were LGBTQ characters, the show didn't particularly focus on that. They just were. It didn't need to be discussed 97 years in the future so I respect that part. Loved this interview and Jarod's honesty with his struggles. I'm inspired.

I really want to work as an actress, and God am I afraid of not making it. I am not in it for the fame at all, but still it seems so impossible for things to work out, especially now. I loved this interview, but the anxiety sure spiked.

It's a tough time for sure but on the bright side there are way more productions now than when Jarod and I first started. The odds are stacked against most of us but a small few make it. Good luck on the journey! It's a lot of fun when the work does come.

Um ator tão bom, um personagem tão incrível, divertido e que poderia ter um papel mais relevante, é triste ver o que a industria faz.
