How about a Jerry curl from Jarrell's. Open till mid-night and then he opens at 8am. Place looks like a methadone clinic from the outside. First saw this on late night tv it woke me up and I had to see it again I was dying laughing.
He was my Uber driver and kicked me down so much knowledge. He’s 69 years old and in immaculate shape. On top of that his birthday is a day away from mine what a small fucking world. Chuuuch Tabernacle
I looked at the hours of operation for his shop (8:00 am-midnight) and thought, ‘Holy crap! This guy put in SIXTEEN-HOUR DAYS?!! That’s doctor territory right there!’ You’ve really got to admire someone as dedicated to his craft as this guy…
I love when he's doing what I call the Rick James like he's fluffing the customers curl and the customer is moving his head to the beat. 🤣 🤣 🤣 that s%!t is classic!! 🤣 🤣 🤣
In the year 2021 leave that brother alone! He was enterprising for back in the day. I actually look at this as nostalgic St. Louis in the 80’s. We don’t get creative commercials like this anymore. I still remember and love this, Schweing Engle, Becky the queen of carpet, and, the waterbed store commercials that came on while watched the three stooges on Saturday nights in St. Louis sleeping on floor blanket pallets at our grandma’s house with our cousins. Everyone born after generation X don’t understand how fun the times were. I applaud that man’s ambition.
2021, this is a great commercial! I miss commercials like this. I definitely had a carefree curl in the 80s as a young teen in Chicago. Going to send this to my cousins in the Lou to see if they knew about Jerrell. Bravo for his genius! Funny now but back in the day y'all would have been right there!
It's the guitarist to the left at the .021 mark for me. I notice something different everytime I watch this lolol this is some of the best shyt I've ever seen 🤣🤣🤣
So I'm guessing he was Tito Jackson's coke dealer on the '84 Victory Tour and used the money to open up his ghetto salon/trap house? P.S. -- The #CokeStare from Jarrell and his swaying guitar player @0:22 was EPIC.
There’s so many things I love about this I don’t even know where to start. Listen to how hard that bass is going, meanwhile they have a drummer in the video even though there’s no drums in the song. His profuse sweating, his singing, his dancing, the background singers sounding and acting like aliens took over their brains…and so, so much more.
@@cjavegas Hey bro you still doin curls? What would a curl like what you had cost now? I'm seriously considering getting one like yours in this video. I love it! I've always been a fan of the curl and wanted one. When I go to the hair dresser I'm gonna show her this video and say "Give me a Jarrel curl. Not a jhery curl. A Jarrel curl." Who was that band? I'm digging that guitar lick!
Hilarious. Is he singing or Rapping? The Tainted Love rendition. Jheri curl shop in the middle of the hood. Better bring 50 cents, with your $27. Jheri Curls were expensive.
