I love watching your reactions. Gives me a new appreciation for performers or songs I've heard before but taken for granted. Listening with fresh ears.
Yes he is Australian born 1984 Jarryd James Klapper singer songwriter record producer released his first single "Do You Remember " in 2015 which reach No 2 in the singles chart. Peace out.
4:11 this is why I love your videos and you are the best. You had the same reaction as me. Then you can sing it. Your ability to connect to both musicians and everyday people is astounding. Thank you for all the hard work you put into your channel.
This is why I love you man. I feel like I helped you find Matt Corby, being a big advocate of his, But now you are showing me new Matt Corby music. I could not ask for more. Music truly connects us all. Happy New year everyone.
You should check out Marlon Williams, a Melbourne-based NZ singer. He's like Roy Orbison reincarnated. Here he's doing O Holy Night on Paul Kelly's recent Christmas album: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-LLvkazL0J70.html
Those are some of the most effortless runs I’ve ever heard! But then again, him and Matt Corby are mates… the best know the best! This is a vibe I can chill to on a rainy day like it is today here in Queensland 🇦🇺 I know ppl prefer the CH version but it’s not supposed to sound like CH. This is a different song on its own and I’m here for it!
Thanks for doing this buddy! It’s so good, isn’t it? Controversial not having Matt do his own part - but hey, they’re mates and he helped him with backing - how awesome. And the other tall guy doesn’t get credit but that’s Joyride, and is great too. ✌🏻
100% mate, they are ok but to me songs have memories attached to them and I remember this when it was released back in 82. Not how Steve Prestwich envisaged it I reckon but toi each their own.
"First of all, Big Show, this dude right here". My god is that a big man. His mic stand is taller than the other singers haha. Awesome video as always. Top content.
Take a look on RU-vid at an Aussie rock kwiz show that various Aussie singers come on and sing with the house band. Check out Tim Rogers and Vika Bull sing Gimme Shelter
About time someone reacts to Jarryd James ..been on him for like 4-5 years and went to his concert a few years ago …now if you can do a few more and also Mac Ayers who is an American R&B singer…he’s really smooth..I like his song Smoke, among others
Wow, one of my favourite reactors and reacting to Jarryd thats🔥🔥🔥 i am heading out to work with him in 2 weeks i will be sure to show him! His songs Do You Remember and 1,000 x are probably his biggest hits and most definitely worth a listen if you haven’t already
Wow this was so smooth, thanks for introducing me to new artists as well!!! I just discovered while watching your reactions a Matt Corby collaborating with Budgera, Def worth a listen!!!
Like a version is a take on madonnas like a virgin, so every Friday they have a artist/group etc come in and do a cover and a track of their own. Jump on some more Aussie stuff. Miiesha my sister girl will blow your mind 🖤💛❤️👌🏾
Gonna put it out there - Jarryd was Matt’s mentor in his teenage years. Not common knowledge but they had a falling out and all the arias they won between themselves for single of the year was like the back and forth of what was going on for each of them/how they felt towards each other until they reconciled… I think this was their way of saying their lyrical “war” against each other is over. Hence the feature but not really being featured 🙃
Great cover version.... I can't think of it as the same song it is sung so differently, so it is the same but two totally separate songs.... I love the original just because Cold Chisel..... and this is great too....
My two complaints with this… 1 The original is so much better 2 Matt Corby was not featured anywhere near enough… he was basically used as a backing vocalist
Vocally very different but cool, indeed. The only thing is a few chord choices at the end of choruses and in the middle eight which don't work as well as the original with the melody...in my opinion.
He can definitely roll...but I just kept waiting for the vocals to take off so I could really hear him blow and it didn't happen. Left me a little disappointed but the vocal talent is undeniable.
@@ThatSingerReactions Probably. I'll be on the lookout. And Happy New Year bro. Don't get all busted up at that New Year's eve party I know you goin to. Lol.
I feel like it was a waste of matt corbys talent to be there. They didn't even let him have a solo part. There all good but why bring in matt to just do harmony
