From a lady who has lived in a small town many years I want to say thank you to you Jason Aldean!! This is like every small towns anthem, it’s like our code it’s how we feel. I could be pissed as hell with my neighbor, but if they are in trouble I’d be there in a heartbeat!! It’s just a small town life, an unspoken rule. It being human, it’s being real. I’d rather live in a crappy small town than the “best big city” ANY DAY!! There’s no other feeling like the small town life!!!

Jason, I am an older woman, born in a big city and still in that big city. I know nothing of small town culture or of country music. I listened to the song because of the controversy and I absolutely love the song! I love that you are standing for what you believe in and standing for helping your neighbors! We are tired of the BS and tired of the double standards. Keep doing what you are doing with this song. There are a LOT of "big city" folks standing with you!
Never apologize for the song. It speaks the truth of any small town. I like the message of the video. The melody is absolutely addicting. Coming from a small town myself I can relate to this song. We always take care of each other and back each other up to stop the violence and hatred.

One "Person of Interest" episode, where Johnny Cash rendition of "Hurt" was played got me into Johnny Cash music and now I have every studio album of his. Love your song! Recently went to family reunion in a small town and absolutely loved it. The peace and joy l felt just sitting on a porch enjoying my surroundings was unbelievable. I felt a sense of sadness when l boarded the plane to come back home. As humans we stand up and want to protect what we love. This song speaks to that! Keep writing great songs!!
