**UPDATE** Trying my best to keep up with your comments. This is more than I’ve ever had to try and manage so forgive me if I’ve missed you!! I don’t intend to ignore anyone! 🙏🙏🙏 ***UPDATE*** Wow y’all, I had just hit 350 subs before doing this video. Now we’re so close to 1k. Thank you all so much! 🙏
Let's just be honest the people who are saying it's rasist are the same black people who use a black persons death to riot and they are saying it's rasist because they know it's the black protest's over black death's using it as an excuse to burn cities and riot! So basically they say we are rasist when we call them out on their bs
As a 60 year old Black American and retired former police officer who returned home to the great state of Mississippi, I stand 110% with Jason Aldean. I see nothing racist or threatening in the words nor the video, just the plain way we good ole country folks see it.
Bless you my brother.... We as the black community are with you 💯.... I am from a small town and my husband and I raised our children in the same and I can attest that Jason is correct... We did not play about each other and each other's children periodt... black or white....
I’ve heard this song hundreds of times probably since the controversy began about it, and ya know what…I’ll never tire of it…keep playin “try that in a small town” 🎤🎵🎶
Honestly, I live in a pretty tight farming community....black, white, Mexican...very respectful. If you came in our town trying to burn down essentially people's lives work (houses, crops, businesses, etc.) I can tell you in a matter of minutes people would blockade the protestors in with all types of giant farming equipment and they would get the absolute shit kicked out of them. The strength of a 60 year old lifelong farmer is equivalent to that of an athletic 18 year old and there ain't many of them these days. The police could take the day off. Just as reference, when I moved in the neighborhood, people took to me pretty quick because I was very respectful and one month in when my well broke and couldn't get water into my house for drinking, bathing, washing, whatever my neighbor who was going on a two week trip give me her house key to shower and get fresh drinking water. This person barely knew me. That's how tight these communities are. This song isn't about race it's about respect for your neighbors and neighborhood and it's not a stretch to say that people from small towns have more pride about their land then city dwellers who would throw trash onto the street next to a trash can.
CMT just made this song and video VERY famous. LOL drove all the traffic to youtube to see what the fuss was and as a result, Jason has a TON of new fans.
I’m from a small town. I heard rumblings about this song. And then I heard it. There is nothing racist or calling for violence. Small towns do look after one another.
I’m from a small town of less then 500 people. It’s all about us having our neighbors back, taking care of our own. There are white, black and Latin neighbors I have and we watch everyone’s back as we are all family here
This song deals with how to deal with troublemakers and assholes. As far as race goes assholes and troublemakers come in all colors and races. The moral to this story is don’t come to my town and act like a troublemaker or a asshole and you and you will be alright. Don’t start no shit and there won’t be no shit.
New subscriber. I'm from Los Angeles, and there is no unity here. The only light we have is that the small town within Los Angeles like mine, for example. We're pretty tight-knit we haven't had many crazy things go on around here, thankfully
Thanks for subbing! Yeah its pretty big out there and kind of wild from what Ive seen, but keep your head up. There are good honest average folks everywhere!
I love that Jason sings about what is happening in big cities everyday and talking about how small town peeps don't give in to the political BS of the big cities.
Love your hat! I'm from the UK but live in Asia. It's great to see the Internet pulling together over this song! What affects the US affects the rest of the world... we all stand together! I've subscribed - you have a lovely vibe!
I live in Iowa and I can't count how many times a farmer has been injured and couldn't bring in his harvest. The neighboring farmers teamed up and brought them in, numerous times. The wives were there fixing food. That's what small towns do because they know it could be them that needs that help someday. When you see that type of bond and then imagine someone coming in from the city causing mischief you understand the song more. We take care of our own. As it should be.
I made this comment on another channel, the premise of the song comes down to "F around and find out." Stuff like what happened in 2020 might fly in the big cities, but country people don't play that.
The liberals don't like it because it's going against their beliefs that they can do what they want without consequences. That's why they call it racist. Small towns don't allow this kind of nonsense isn't allowed. We still respect one another no matter what the race, we help where we can with kindness & compassion. We just need to stop the insanity & that's what this is all about. I totally support the message as do a lot of other people. Thank you very much for your reaction. It's greatly appreciated.
That’s exactly the point he was trying to make with this song, is that if you act a fool in a small town you gonna get towed off, and it’s gonna be highly suggested that you go on somewhere else.
Like that Hat! Thanks for reviewing and giving your perspective. I believe MOST people agree with you and Jason Aldean. We the People need to step up and take care of each other.
Yo fr? The hat looks awesome one you! Heck you have that look that you rock out to country I would of never thought you didn't really listen? And the bud light part 😂 I auto subbed! Nothing but love from another fellow American
Disney has also filmed at this location and nobody has complained about that! Also Hallmark has made some Christmas movies using the same backdrop... ugh.... also not all the crazy crimes are just from the USA but some are showing from Canada! How many people knew that? Thanks for your taking your time to react to this video... I'm a new subscriber to you now!
My white grandpa lived in a small town. He moved onto the street that many blacks lived on. He became known as the good Samaritan with all the families there. Helping with house repairs and sharing his garden produce. I would hang out with their kids. When my grandpa got sick, the black ladies would constantly check in on him. They looked out for one another and no doubt would have protected one another from violence. Love your neighbor” is more evident in a small town.
CMT says afraid companies might pull advertising. Big corporations and woke society race baiting being the culprit. Thanks for seeing thru that, enjoy your reactions!
I have been watching a lot of reactions to this song; yes we don't go for bullshit to ANYONE!!! White. black, brown, purple, all people raised with good ethics and sense of community are good ole boys.
The issue is a few delicate flowers, saw the title of the song, Try That In A Small Town, and they got their panties in a twist, and made up their minds before even listening to the song.
I took the song as more of a we're sick of it and not going to take it anymore message. I don't think it's against anyone accept for the people who take to the streets and destroy things to make a point, see it's not about the point they're trying to make it's about the destruction they cause while making it.
Facts, people keep bringing up Jan 6th like why didn't he show that... well.. because that wasn't people's local businesses getting damaged.. that was storming the capitol.. ACTUALLY bucking the system.. smh
Miley Cyrus also filmed an episode of Hannah Montana in front of that courthouse. How come there was no outrage for that, The reason Jason filmed his video there is because that courthouse is close to his home and is one of the oldest structures in that small town. They were really reaching with that.
Raised in a small town, everyone took care of each other, watched out for each other, no one went without. We learned how to respect each other. We learned how to handle guns and I remember my first lesson from my Grandpa was how to clean a gun, and we were taught to be safe with one before ever having ammo. We spent times on the farm and got a quarter for each chicken hawk we shot out of the sky to keep the chickens safe. We lived with open doors, kids playing safely because the town didn't allow the kind of people who hurt kids.
You said the older you get the smarter you get.... Brother if thats not the truth than I don't know what the truth is.... I learn everyday!!!! Take care... god bless..
I am heartened by seeing many videos today from Americans of all stripes echoing the same comments, where is the racism? Exactly! I am sick to death of "the powers that be" stoking the flames of racism! Love all Americans regardless of ethnicity!
I don't care if you're black, white, Hispanic, Asian, Catholic, Muslim, Atheist ,etc. If you're nice to me, I'll be nice to you. I will help you out if you need it because I know you'll help me if I need it. That's what this country should be about.
You should have hear my local radio news channel yesterday! It is a fox channel nonetheless. The dumb lady said, “ I can’t believe he made this video after being in a mass shooting, how dare him.” Glad to learn I don’t need to listen to that station again! Great song btw!!!!
So disliking crime is racist? I must be to far gone. Good ole boys definitely has a good and bad meaning though lol. We use that term both ways because that system can prevent climbing in a career but on the good side we love the good ole boys.
Thank you sir, for adding your voice. Small town America is in the hearts of so many. My town has 1000 people & we do know each other- know when folks are up to no good or up to good. We get behind each other & prop each other up.
Good reaction analysis Larry. I enjoyed it. Nothing racist about that song damnit. I'm white but being from a small town as many black folk are I think we can all understand that "around here we take care of our own" would include white folk helping out black folk, black folk helping out white folk, and etc. Love this song. Powerful!
If that's the Maury County Courthouse I think Dick Porter received recognition in building it "On June 15, 1904, the ground was broken for the new building. The cornerstone was set a few months later on October 8th by Dick Porter, a man estimated to be over 120 years of age. As a slave, he worked on the two previous courthouses in 1808 and 1846. Now, as a free man, he was selected (honored) to lay the first trowel of mortar on the cornerstone" (Historic Maury County Courthouse Oct 2020)
@@JustAverageLarry which is kinda weird in someways, since that place was under the Democrats when those events happened. I dont think that the Republicans had much say from Reconstruction until maybe the 60s and 70s and thats just in certain areas.
the Republicans created the first anti lynching laws George Henry White of North Carolina 1900, then later Republican Leonidas C. Dyer's 1918 bill Them making a big deal about signing one now, instead of not blocking the bills back then makes no senseto me..
This happened after the whole backlash happened. There is a chance that the instigators were paid, who knows or believed that the community was racist since certain people pushed it that it was ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-s9N6hgmqrGs.html.
Bro you might as well just give in bro because you just starting out and I'm sure you're going to soon be a fan of country and react to a lot of country songs. The story telling is what most people love. But country also grows on you (at least for me) the older you get and the more you listen to it. And you already the hat. 😆
@JustAverageLarry when you hit 1k ? Would be good to see another 🇬🇧 police reaction vid to celebrate? 🍾 🥳 (i realise you have a list to get through now, though?) 😂😂😎✌️
I grew up in a small town, and i strongly agree with this video, you gotta take care of your friends family and neighbors... haters are gonna hate no matter what we do... we need to stop all the hate and maybe show alittle more love and respect for friends family neighbors and all together your fellow man... god bless us all KEEP ON KEEPIN ON...
@@JustAverageLarry I think some of the controversy came from the location because the courthouse where Jason is fronting, was also a location that was hit by lynching's back in 1927.
@@williamjamesayers7719 yeah I heard that but it’s a dumb argument.. we don’t know if he knew.. even if he did.. there’s practically the same history for every building that old
@@JustAverageLarry just thought it was a fact to point out. But definitely there are a lot of buildings that definitely have history behind them. Btw - I'm gonna send you a clip so don't get mad at me. Just something to check out. Lol
All you that hate this song think on this. What if a friend or family member was sucker punched or your mom or grandma was carjacking. Maybe you get a gun pointed in your face asking you for your money? You're going to feel alot different. You burn the flag or spit in a cops face you need your ass kicked. My cousin died defending our flag. My dad gave me his favorite hunting rifle. You think I'm just giving it up you better think again. I was raised to respect the flag and country. What happened to you all??
