Now you have to make a custom game with mutations if you want to have any fun, but if you do that you dont get achievements xp, or points for buying elixirs and talismans. Not to mention Easter eggs are basically impossible unless you put on custom mutations, which again makes the Easter egg pointless because you get no achievement/trophy for completing it. They really ruined zombies.

I made it to round 50 with a friend earlier on IX and my ICR wasn’t doing half bad. It only took like 10 headshots to kill on round 50! That’s insanely good. Idk what you’re going on with tbh.

No. They cut the 3 BEST perks that literally everyone ran all the time. It gave no room for variety. Either they brought it back nerfed (which would be garbage and unintuitive) or they make it so everyone has jug right off the bat with 200 hp. So really they didnt remove jug. and speed cola has been moved to attachments. Sure not all guns have speed loader, so speed cola is the only perk i would MAYBE see coming back. Double tap is literally just quadra damage at the cost of your ammo depleting faster. The fact that you can re-upgrade your guns 5 extra times for 5X damage, makes double tap pointless since you already kill zombies WAY faster in blops 4 considering they also mega nerfed the rate at which zombies health scales per level. So really they made it so when you get downed, you dont have to run to the other side of the map to get jug, speed, AND double tap. Instead you keep them all. Wanting it so you have to go do that is dumb. You are basically fucked in the later rounds after you are downed and you cant get to each perk in time. These are good changes. It would be just as shitty if blops 4 decided to bring back stopping power in the multiplayer. Everyone would just run it and it would be bullshit.

But it wasn't erased. You START OFF with health as if you have jug at level 1. So what you are REALLY upset about is that they erased the need to spend 2,500 points and repurchase every time you get downed otherwise you were always fucked. Jug was a MUST HAVE 100% of the time and the devs did not want that taking up 1 of 4 item slots every time.

Basically what they did was bring back the original two hits then your down but they also gave u a free jug with that.

I'm saying it wasn't really removed since you now basically start off with free perma Jug now, rather than having to walk somewhere to buy it, have it take up a perk slot, and lose it when you get downed. Now everyone gets it right off the bat. How is that removing it? They made everyone start off with it BECAUSE it was so "iconic". The only reason it was iconic was because it was an absolute necessity. It's the only perk besides Speed Cola that was a MUST HAVE (which was also made possible for everyone to get without it taking a second slot). The devs wanted people to experience the other perks without having to always spend two of their slots on those two perks. Now that everyone gets those two passively so they can ACTUALLY utilize the four slots they have, rather than always having to reserve two slots for Jug and Speed every single time.

I would find a decent wall gun you would like to PaP, then level it up to get the fast mags attachment. That's what worked for me and I like how I had to figure out a way to get around the problem. I think it's that kind of customisation and decision making Treyarch wanted to see as a result of removing these key perks.

@@RenegadeStriker7 9 maps pack a punch is easy to achieve all you have to do is kill the 4 challenger by activing the 4 gongs, once you complete all 4 they drop head parts that aquire for pack a punch. Blood of the dead you need to use the shield on top of the roof and kill like 3 or 4 zombies with the key then you have to blast the shield the volt power thing. Classified i think you have to build the pack a punch. Voyage of Despair don't really, that map is so damn confusing its a damn maze

treyarch themselves have backed themselves into a corner because they don't know how to make zombies stats fair and they can't change the story format or the map format because of the autistic zombies community, they would throw a shit fit. The head story writer is copying the fans theories and the content creators don't know how to change the game to the point where its a competent product. It's a shame because we will never get the version of zombies that it was meant to be at the start and new players will always have to grind for weeks just to feel part of the community. Flamed another attempt at stopping people from training in bo3 was to make the zombies AI have them be not so close together as possible. They avoided making single file lines and tight groups for easy killing

Removing jug is one thing, I can live with that change. But double tap and speed cola?! Lmgs are literally death sentences now. Even if you can run while reloading, that doesn't make up for how small and close quarters the three(4 if you have classified) maps are. Unfinished Quest Youre just plain wrong. The perks aren’t OP like they used to be but theyre definitely worth keeping. Quick revive, stamin-up, victorious tortoise, and stonecold stronghold are all very useful.

Stone cold is good but fucking useless if you're on the move. PHD Slider sucks after like round 8 or 9. You get gang banged by zombies now like in WW2 where they pin you in if you fuck up a bit. The guns need to do more damage. The dogs spawn a little too much especially when they start spawning like crazy on rounds 11 and up or whatever round they start. Maps are pretty fine and challenging since there are tight corridors and some slightly open space. The points are kinda hard to come by especially when I get like 12k points, not even buying anything, in like 7-8 rounds SOLO. Ammo stockpile is a good challenge since it's reduced and you run out of ammo pretty quickly and on top of that the guns shoot fucking nerf bullets. Good luck reloading a fucking LMG without electric cherry now. The only thing that kinda pisses me off is that the special weapons are the only really useful things that get you out of situations and you rarely ever get a challenge with them. The gap between them is too far apart. Guns suck but the specialist guns are really good and useful with no effort at all. But the game is 'fine'.

Your point here? It was the intention to do that yea, but sometimes when things are changed for a certain purpose, unintended consequences arise. Removing Jug removed the largest sense of early game progression, and removed all stakes from dying in higher rounds. I died on round 30 and didnt realize I didnt buy my perks back until 35. Thats a huge issue. The consequence of not surviving in the survival gametype has pretty much been removed. Im okay with Double tap and Speed being removed, thats whatever. I do think that double PaPing a gun should give it a speed reload buff since not all guns have fast mags, and that would be a good late game progression thing, but eh. If you wanna talk about what made the game easier, lets take a look at how half the maps gives everyone a wonder weapon (with it now on a cool down in the new game) and the gobble gums that also took away the punishment of dying, and how they made the early game a lot easier and the punishment of death less when they made going down three hits instead of two. Oh and double Paping, that also made the game easier. Juggernaut has always been in the game, even at its hardest. It servers a fundamental purpose of ensuring death feels punishing and acts as a way to feel a sense of progression in early game. I loved zombies the most in Black Ops 1, and it was much harder then. Trying to force a new meta is silly when its at the expense of what makes the experience enraging and challenging, which is surviving and feeling the cost of not surviving. If you dont fear death then you dont get any rush from the act of evading it

The marginal benefit I get from an ammo refill is higher to me than the slight benefit of being able to run for a little bit longer. One man’s opinion. We're a week or more into the game by now. Do you see any perk meta evolving? All of my friends and I run totally different perk setups, the only one that most of us run is Quick Revive. They really did do a good job with perk variety, in my opinion.

I totally agree, I actually buy a lot less perks than I normally would. Dying wish is useful, quick revive is useful, and bandolier is useful. But quick revive isn’t new. And neither is mule kick. I like the decision to have permanent jugg, but all the other perks are just eh. It didn’t seem like they really put a lot into it.

it's great in my opinion, there is not just one OP combination, depending on the type of game you want to play with your friends you can switch between different combinations to suit the certain game you'll be playing, of course if you play with randoms online there will be one great loadout, but for playing with friends, removing those 3 perks to create more variety sure did the trick

Ben Sessions I mean, the meta is already being shaped as Dying Wish, Quick Revive, Bullet Bandolier, and the 4th perk that people switch out. So it‘s not like he solved the problem, and more that he shifted the problem to 4 other perks, which is no surprise.

I mean, if you think about it, literally NOBODY would have picked any of the other perks if they just left the original ones in the game, so they wanted to let players be a lot more variated and unique in their strategies. So yes, it is indeed freedom because then you don't always have people picking the same things every time.

That's like saying that since the f150 is the best selling truck in America and the majority of buyers buy it, we should free them by removing it from the options. I agree with Daniel, that's pretty dumb logic. You don't create freedom by taking away the perks that people liked. People always had the option of choosing other perks but choose those perks because they liked them, there's nothing wrong with that. All they did was force people to experiment a little till they find a new meta which everyone will use and thus no freedom again lol. If they really wanted to create more freedom they should just add better perks to compete with the OG perks so it's harder to decide which perks to choose or add perks that are more team focused etc. Bottom line is taking out perks that have been a trademark of the game should never be the answer. Restricting players to what perks they can have does not create freedom, it just frustrates and confuses the players.

Blpitts I find that the only perks I always use are quick revive, stamin-up, and time slip. That means that there’s always one perk that I don’t really care about and can use whatever I feel like. This is much better than in the other games always buying jug, speed cola, double tap, quick revive, or stamin-up.

Blpitts using the same 3 every game is better than using all the same every game though. And even with that, not everyone uses the same 3 as me, it’s just my preference. Before, everyone used the same 4 or maybe change one up. This is a huge step in the right direction imo

hanshukebein You can put on the fast mags for speed, you can put on the rapid fire for shooting faster, and if you double pack a punch your guns 4 times you get double the power, so they technically are in the game per se.

They have made zombies more challenging. I like that. Sure i miss those perks but a challenge is nice too. I just wish the zombies wernt faster than you around round 50. Even if you have stamin up those fuckers will out run you haha

But if you want to stick to the simpler stuff, nothings stopping you from heading over to Der Riese or some other map like that

If zombies had stayed like that it would not of lasted as long as it has. I just get tired of people saying this all the time, like look at the most popular and initiative maps, maps like mob, origins, de, and gorod and think about the zombies community, how much less would it be without those maps (maps that wouldn't be defined as simple). Look I get it, the direction Jason has taken zombies isn't for everyone but when you write these comments never discard the fact that the complexity of zombies is what allowed it to innovate in the ways it did which is one of the key factors to its recent success. As a side note the way you feel is why they choose to remaster/remake a ''simple'' map from a past cod zombies, hence the giant, hence classified. I get that may not be enough but it's something and something is all you can ask for sometimes.

From what I heard, combining certain perks with certain attachments now is essentially as close as one can get to having some of the old perks back. Jug however doesn't need to be brought back anymore, as they apparently just recently boosted health to 200, so it's a 4 hit system instead of 3.

I think it's probably possible that speed cola was also kinda taken out considering there's speed/dual mag attachments on a lotta guns. Imagine how quickly you could reload with both.

Asassin, perfect? I don’t think so. There are some things that need to change. Dog speed is one thing for sure. When I’m running full sprint with stamin up and I can’t out run a dog fast enough to health regen even with quick revive, that’s an issue.
