That's the cool thing about Jason Boland music, like you said its never over the top just good chill music and he is what he is and is comfortable with it.
Freaking great song! Great reaction too! The subtle references of "rays through a Shiner Bock bottle" & the fade out of The Yellow Rose of Texas are brilliant!
Loved that! Thanks Don.. great discovery.. I was born a Yankee raised in the buckeye state.. lived in Michigan... then Danville, Kentucky where I was introduced to country music.. and now live in Alabama but somehow I'm a Texan at heart... even though I never lived there... COUNTRY MUSIC FOREVER!
He's one of my favorite soonest l singers. Should definitely check out proud souls, blowing through the hills, telephone Romeo, and the nymphomaniac song by him
Dude! I know this was MONTHS ago, but... hell ya! Jason Boland! Been listening to this band and LOTS of Red Dirt music for over 10 years now out in California. You are entertaining as hell 😂 good job. Thanks
I'm from Oklahoma been a fan since the beginning. He deserves more credit, amazing voice, songwriter and musician. Kid Rock remade Jason's Telephone Romeo. Which was renamed Purple Sky.
Hello from Oklahoma! I'm loving your channel and I'm glad you are discovering and sharing some red dirt! I think you should check out Whiskey Meyers Broken Window Serenade.
Just discovered your channel great stuff. Love Boland and his music. Proud Souls live at Billy Bob’s is one of the best. You should do a review of The Great Divide -Amarillo Windmill, the original Red Dirt Band headed by Mike McClure which is much different than his current band.
@Jared Bain Welcome aboard the channel! I got your request and will try to get to it down the road a bit. The list is long, but if there aren't any copyright or other issues with the song, I'll get to it. Thanks for the suggestion. :)
Hello from a new subscriber! This has nothing to do with this particular video. I want to introduce you to my favorite female voice since Patsy Cline, Bobbie Cryner. She's a singer/songwriter that for some unexplainable reason, only released 2 albums in the mid-nineties. I recommend her "You'd Think He'd Know Me Better". It's from her 2nd album, "Girl of Your Dreams". The whole record is nothing short of a masterpiece. Tom
You need to do some Sean McConnell! “Madly In Love With You” “A Prayer You Can Borrow” “Maybe You Can Love Me Anyway”. One of the most talented songwriters out there
