Jason is the best-looking guy on the planet (imo) and this is THE most beautiful version of this song ever. I listened to it about 50 times in a row the night I got it from iTunes.
I felt sad and sorry for him when I saw the show video on here. THEN I take the chance of listening to this. Truly beautiful. Such feeling and heart he puts into this song. I doubt he'll win it, but I hope he continues developing his voice as a ballad singer!
lol, me too..I have all of his performances/studio versions on a playlist and I haven't gotten tired of any of his songs yet. I can't get enough! I can't wait to see what he does this week..I'm excited!
WOW..another AMAZING studio version from Jason..no surprise there! :D The tone and softness of his voice give me chills..I could listen to him all day long..and I usually do LOL. This is amazing..Jason is amazing
I could care less if Jason knew a cat was singing this. I love it that he actually admitted it and kinda knocked old ALW off his perch for a minute. Jason sang this beautifully.
I agree with you chulupa. The judges were just horrible to him last night. I don't think they can break his spirit though. I love listening to him too. I will buy his CD.
that would be awesome!! even jason doesn't know exactly when his cd is coming out (he says in his vlogs sometime in the spring, i think) but maybe you could get the low down and inform all his fans. i'm done yanking your chain now.
I met him the other day :) He was really sweet. But I was really sad for him because he had to be on tour on Valentine's Day instead of spending the day with his family.
This version is haunting. I do love the usually, female versions also (one of my favorite songs) but this is so angelic. Simon and Randy were a little off about this performance.
how come he didn't perform like this, like this studio version during the performance night??? he did a nice job here in the studio version.. it had some passion... he didn't struggle... maybe he got nervous then...
cool, dawg. since you can see everything and seem to know so much about jason's personal life, maybe you can enlighten everyone as to when he'll be getting a cd out?? not trying to waste your time, I for real want to know. seriously, his fans want to know.
his studio versions sound 1 million times better than on the stage.if he sang like this on stage he would have to win.but it is not the same. iguess in the grand scheme of things it matters not cause. we will mostly listen to cds eh!
I saw Cats....she was good but his version has way more soul. We hear singers like the ones that perform it in Cats all the time. We rarely get to hear it sung like this, with so much soul. Who in the h... cares if he knew a cat was singing it or not. BTW..for you purists, I saw it on and off Broadway.
cuz uhh i use to go to that church and when i moved people told me he wouldnt have anything to do with the church so thank you very much for wasting my time
Jason sucked on stage i really hated him up there always hiding behind his gutair. but this is really good! i like this!!! still cant believe he out lassted carly!!!! but this is a good song.
and how do you know he gave up on his church?? there's video of him there as recently as Christmas 08. and, if he doesn't go there anymore, i guess it's his business. it's probably better to leave his personal and spiritual life to him and God.
This studio version is certainly an improvement on his Idol version, which he really botched up (as the judges agreed; his was the beginning of his fall)...BUT, though he sings it well here, he is totally wrong for the song: it is narrated by an aging person (actually an old pussy cat!), remembering sadly their glory days. Jason's too young and naive for its depths.
