I Grew Up Listening To Christian Music & Jason Castro Is An Amazing Artist. I Was 8 Years Old When This Song Came Out & When I Listened To It. 10 Years Later, I'm 18, In College, & This Song Is Still One Of My Favorite Christian Songs. God Bless Us All👍👍
This song helped me get through the roughest time in school. I haven't found it for years. Just a few days ago I wanted to listen to it. I looked for it and looked for it. And I found it.
how he smile, how he talk, how he looked into the eye, how he walk, how he moves, no need mention about his talent...he is PERFECT!! God created him so well...
Jason Castro I met you at a concert in Knoxville TN 2 or 3 yrs ago, shook your hand and spoke to you for about a min you seemed really impressed that i bought two copy's of every cd you had for sale. that was a magical moment for me I am currently looking for you're songs on records.---you are amazingly one of the best artist that... truly touched my heart---thank you for signing all the cd's that you sold me
its the end of 2016, and we are still listening to this amazing song:D "Only A Mountain" Another day, another fight It always feels like an uphill climb Another step, another mile The story of your life It’s harder than you ever thought And it costs you everything you’ve got When you’re back against the wall And you feel like giving up This is only a mountain You don’t have to find your way around it Tell it to move, it’ll move Tell it to fall, it’ll fall This is only a moment You don’t have to let your fear control it Tell it to move, it’ll move Tell it to fall, it’ll fall You’ve gotta find a second wind It’s not as high as you think it is Don’t give up and don’t you quit You gotta climb if you wanna win And I know it looks big And I know you feel small But just a little bit of faith can change it all Change it all This is only a mountain You don’t have to find your way around it Tell it to move, it’ll move Tell it to fall, it’ll fall This is only a moment You don’t have to let your fear control it Tell it to move, it’ll move Tell it to fall, it’ll fall Ask like you believe it Trust like you can see it Take your fear and say There’s nothing in your way, no oh Even when it looks big Even when you feel small Just a little bit of faith can change it all This is only a mountain You don’t have to find your way around it Tell it to move, it’ll move Tell it to fall, it’ll fall This is only a moment You don’t have to let your fear control it Tell it to move, it’ll move Tell it to fall, it’ll fall It’s only a mountain Just a little bit of faith can change it all
"...Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there,' and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you." Matthew 17:20
Such blind people, who are we to judge even one man's look. Leave judgement to God, if you can't use your tongue bless don't waste it on judging. Great song Jason, keep it up!
I just had to comment about this song.1st time I heard it was this past Tues driving to work after my hubby stormed out the door without a word (a first in 1.5 yrs of marriage). I cried & prayed that God would tell me how to move this mountain. All I heard was "Be quiet & be a child of grace. It will work out" Fast forward to Fri, still no conversation, but I came home to flowers & a hug with "I'm sorry". As we got in the car 2 head 2 the movies, guess what song came on the radio? God wink! wow!
I am Second......Jesus is first! I love the song you made! awesome and going to send it to my Daughter.....she has a big mountain she is dealing with right now!
Would people stop hating on him because of the way he looks please, and listen to the message of the song he sings. Jason Castro is a wonderful Christian man, and I think we should remember that instead of seeing the outside. Lets see the fruit he is bearing for Christ in his words and music.
Happy Birthday to Jason Castro! Sinner's Prayer Dear God I'm a sinner and need forgiveness I believe that JESUS CHRIST shed His PRECIOUS 💞 BLOOD and died for my sin I'm willing to turn from sin I now invite CHRIST to come into my heart 💜 and life as my personal SAVIOUR Amen Blessings and Hugs 💖💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕!
Jason, you should write more music. I love all of it. you are very talented and we had the wonderful gift to meet you about 6 years years ago and we still talk about it to this very day.
As Christians, we sometimes tend to feel so good about ourselves that we are quick to judge others. But have you looked at yourself recently? Have you let sin into your life? Remember what Jesus said to the scribes and Pharisees concerning the adulterous woman? "...He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her." We are not as perfect as we think we are. We are no better than dirt! But we have to remember that Jesus came down to die for OUR sins, OUR faults.
I'm Muslim and a hijabi, converted from Christianity about a year and a half ago. Christianity is a beautiful religion and I have respect for all Christians and I still go to church and worship services and I am also a part of a worship team and still heavily involved in organizations and activities at my church and at the local mosque...there's beauty in all religions! I have found hapiness in both Christianity and Islam :) and i love this song! :)
I have faced many mountains in my life and have manage to overcome every single one of them because of GOD. with GOD all things are possible. all you have to do is say you are not going to stop me from going to where I am going. just have faith. you can achieve anything will GOD.
I needed to hear this, esp. during this mountain I'm struggling on, with a chronic strep condition so painful that I can hardly ever talk...the Lord led me here to remind me to Trust Him. Thank You, Holy Spirit, for speaking this song to Jason's heart! "Have FAITH in God," Jesus answered. "I tell you the truth, if anyone says to this mountain, 'Go, throw yourself into the sea,' and does not doubt in his heart but believes that what he says will happen, it Will be done for him." Mark 11:22-23
You're right. Many of the Christian singers back in the day looked nothing like Christians. Jason Castro, a true Catholic from Christian radio, believes in God.
Whaaaaa xD I listen to Klove everyday and hear this song and I barely found that you're related to Michael Castro xD so funny !! Anyways I love this song :) God bless
The love of my life has passed away 2 days ago. It would have been 9 years this nov. A friend of ours brought me to this, thank you lisa. In loving memory of our angel Beborah Michelle Cook. 9/10/75 - 5/18/18.
Oh Wow! God works in mysterious ways. I posted this on my facebook "I need to stop talking myself out of it. I need to believe even when I can't see it I have to keep trusting when hope starts to dwindle. learn to be patient & not give up Reminding myself that it's ONLY mountains. So telling my mountains to move out of my way or I will put on my gear & start climbing Gotta reach those blessings that are reserved & waiting just for me". Today I get a follow from Jason & this song was attached.
Remember that just because we have been redeemed through the blood of Christ doesn't mean we have the right to judge other people based solely on outer appearance. I know, I do it sometimes too, we're human, we make mistakes. But always try to remember this, “By judging others we blind ourselves to our own evil and to the grace which others are just as entitled to as we are.” ― Dietrich Bonhoeffer May God continue to bless you, keep you, and guide you. :) God bless.
I really like this song because, it is scripture, speak to the mountain, but the one thing we forget when we Matt. 17:20 says "If you have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you."
Hi. My name is Anna. I am 19, never selfharmed, done drugs, I have parents, a brother and others who love me, roof over my head. I have a great life. I just started doing PSEO for college, living at home. I was homeschooled for 8 years and struggle in social situations because of it. I often break down. I feel lonely and don't have many close friends. I really want to talk to people and I want people to come up to me and start a conversation. But when they do I am so awkward it is normally only a few words. I have absolutely no idea what I want to do for a career and am struggling in school. I feel as if school is not for me. I am just not good at it. But homeschooling has also caused me to slack off and do less work. I am only in two classes and one is online but it feels like to much. I have never had a job. I don't drive yet. I have fallen behind in a lot of life essentials. I have an addiction I get pulled to daily. I know there is a lot of people who have it worse but will anyone pray for me?
Anna I will keep you in my prayers. If you ever need someone to talk to about what is going on, I'm more than willing to listen if you need to vent/cry/whatever it may be.
Hang in there Anna. I am praying for you and so is everyone above. Just hang in there. God will never give you more than you can handle. Anna be who you are and don't care about what people say about you. Go out there and make friends. God does everything for a reason you might help some one or yourself. Hang in there. (hopefully you can change your life and someone else that you know or don't.)
This is SisterSmiley writes...I remember when this young man was considered different on American Idol. I loved him. And, I love this song! He's talking about having the faith to move a Mountain. Praise the LORD. I've heard quite a bit of his music over on MySpace.
I heard Jason sing this song at WinterJam last night and I knew I had to look up more of his songs. this is now my new favorite song. every time I hear it I can hardly stop myself from dancing around! I think God is ready to do something in my life
you don't know this yet but.... we are gonna get married :P Seriously I love your music. Be thankful that God has blessed you with such talent and thank you for sharing it and being open about who you are and not being ashamed of your faith. It's incredibly apprecitated!
It sounds more like you're judging him by appearances rather than the content of the actual song. Have you even taken the time to listen to the lyrics? This song has much more meaning than the mainstream music of today, which mostly involves money, women, sex, drugs, and alcohol. This song is filled with hope. It tells us that we can overcome our obstacles with faith in Jesus Christ! Our own mountainous trials and tribulations in life are nothing compared to the joy we have in Christ Jesus!
I'm pushing for something big, I know God can do it and believe things are about to change for me. This song really encourages me when I feel afraid. xx
I heard this song on the radio and wasn't paying attention to it until I heard the chorus. When I was in a really tough spot in high school my mom told me "It's just for a moment" - thank you for the reminder =)
I have never heard jason castro sing before until i went to winter jam 2013 with my friend and her church and he was the best part he has very pretty blue eyes,he sings amazingly, and he is sooooooooooooo adorable i cried when i seen him and i wish i had a pic of him and a album because he is adorable Jason I love You :)
Love his kid! Love his story/testimony. I pray God will continue to pour out, in abundance, blessings upon him, his beautiful wife, and daughter. Amen.
i saw you at Winter Jam 2013 and I fell in love with your music instantly!! Hope you read this because ever since then I personally feel like my spirit through Christ has grown much deeper because I know this will sound cheezy, but I took each sentence of your lyrics and interpreted it and now i think i know what message you were trying to share with everyone that night!!! :) But today's my birthday! Haha but really I'm a big fan of you and thanks for letting me get closer to Christ!!! :)
Man, that lifted my spirits! Music, colours, painting, nature and Jason....everywhere. It's Only A Mountain...and it's giving me Hope. Thank you Jason!
I have been a fan of yours since American Idol. .. I love your story of why you turned your back on fame and money! May God bless you and your family, richly! Using your talent for the glory of God is awesome!
I have always liked this song and it's such an encouragement. I had forgotten that we went to your concert until my son was showing me the bracelet I bought you there this morning and he started singing this song. Keep up the good work! A most excellent song!
What you say's like these lyrics by Casting Crowns: "What this world needs Is for us to stop hiding behind our relevance Blending in so well that people can't see the difference And it's the difference that sets the world free" That doesn't mean there's anything wrong with this song, we can approach God with reverence without making worship boring, just because this song's 'hip' doesn't mean it isn't holy. Holy means dedicated to God, this song's dedicated to God, so it's holy. Peace brother!
The Lord wants us to have a strong heart and not be afraid. "Say to those who are of a fearful and hasty heart, Be strong, fear not! Mark 4:40 "He said to them, Why are you so timid and fearful? How is it that you have no faith (no firmly relying trust)? Based on the Scriptures above, fear is a sin since it keeps you from going to Heaven. If you haven't yet cast out the spirit of fear, then you need to ask the Lord to forgive you of being fearful every time you get afraid.
Thank you Elena for your reply. "Lord, Increase my faith", I pray in earnest and your Faith and Jason's Faith will strengthen mine. The effortless faith of some people is a wonderful way to renew my beliefs and bolster my convictions that Jesus is not only all-powerful but also all-sufficient.
I went && saw him at Winter Jam, Tulsa last night..&& he is just amazing. He really knows what he is doing, &&he knows how too spread the word..&& he is gorgeous!
This song still so encouraging and full of hope and light. When the mountain's shadow steals the sunlight too early in the afternoon... we don't have to let fear take over...We are under the influence of something stronger than shadows. Holy Spirit gives us confidence, like a cheerleader, like a friend he won't let us give into the negativity...instead, he fills us with air from heaven, a fresh wind...the helps us rise and soar above it all. Sending hugs again, thankful you were so brave and gave this gift to the world. Thanking God for you and your family.
You are so inspirational. I love the way you are going with your music...Very awesome..It may not be the popular vote, but God is the ONLY way. Glad to be your sister in Christ....Amazing music and talent you have.
WHOA MAN..I remember back in like 2007/2008 when I was like OBSESSED with this dude... during his American Idol run xd I'm so glad to see what has happened in his life so far.
