Exactly. They've proven to be terrible owners. The only decent one has been John Henry. All the rest have been diabolical, and either did nothing (Kroenke, Lerner) or wanted to make it more like American sports - Ellis Short, Glazers, and now Boehly. Never get an American owner, because they WILL ruin your club. They just 'dont get' football. Boehly has shown this, so far.

Yes, exactly. I don't think poch could have stayed on with just a year left on his contract, and while I would have given him a 12 month extension, we don't know exactly what he was asking for. Mutual termination of contract was very likely, especially given poch's comments, which implied it a few weeks back. Not the end of the world for chelsea or poch.

Exactly. But instead, all the good players will get sold.....while the dross (Badiashile, Mudryk) will remain. Also think we should cut our losses with Nkuku - because I don't think he's ever going to get going. He's far too injury prone. Sell him, plus Badiashile, Mudryk and about five others - and keep the rest ..... including Gallagher and Chabollah.

How? Not attend games, Hand in your membership?? or stop reading Rolling Stone magazine..?
@robtyman4281
@robtyman4281 12 дней назад
@@ar3tr0Cityzen420 Yes - these things exactly. The trouble with English fans in general is that they're not very good at protesting or making their views to the owners known (other than some booing sometimes at home games). They only become really active when their club is facing liquidation.....and by then it's too late. Mass boycotting of home matches, no season ticket renewals, and a refusal to buy the latest shirts - are all examples of real 'fan power'. This is what I mean. Fans in other countries (such as Germany for example) are generally much better at doing these things than English fans are. We're too complacent, and too apathetic. We let owners push fans around too much, and subsequently that means English fans tolerate bad or toxic owners much more than fans from other countries. A classic example of this are the Glazers at United. Fans say they hate them, yet seemingly do very little about it.

We've just pushed out a manager who was trying to uphold the club's culture. Strangely enough, he was the one person who understood what Chelsea is and ironically help aid Roman's vision, of having a brimming academy, being realised. The club has now embraced Reece James as the undisputed club captain (rightfully or wrongfully), we've put him front and centre of the team yet it was Poch's decision in the first place; now it seems as if it was always destined to be. Fans and pundits alike were pining for Silva or someone more experienced to be captain yet Poch understood the long term vision. He was trying to develop a homegrown/English-oriented captaincy and hierarchy within the squad with James, Chilwell, Gallagher, Colwill and Chalobah being the lynchpins. For years we were mocked for solely having continental players now we're sacking a manager for wanting to establish a fundamentally English core. He's given debuts to Alfie Gilchrist, Michael Golding, Alex Matos, Josh Acheampong and Leo Castledine, in his first season, more than any other previous manager, under arguably the most tumultuous conditions. What makes this all the more disappointing is that previous years under Roman we felt as if every sacking was ultimately in order to course-correct, in this case it seems as if we're just steering ourselves into uncharted waters with many fighting for the wheel. Poch knew the league and now knew his team, whoever we get would need another adjustment period. Plus even then, what guarantees would have that he won't be sacked for a above-average season? The entire team wanted the manager to stay. Even under the great Tuchel, Conte and Mourinho we had players fall out with them, not with Poch. This is the odd occasion in our history where the team had more faith in the manager than the board. If anything the player's opinion should matter most as they are the ones who work with him daily. Players can never truly buy into a manager's tactics now because their opinion is not valued by the higher-ups. Eventually the players will develop their own "player power mentality" since the managers will be an ever revolving door whilst they're the constants. Poch developed into a father figure for this young crop, helping them develop their games. That's what Fergie did all too well. He may not have been the "winning-mentality" manager we needed long term but he was the right coach for right now. The next manager will be likely be stoic and cold because he'll be fighting for his job from day-one, no patience for these young lads, he'll get frustrated and leave, then the cycle continues again. Just gutted.

Can't believe Chelsea fired Poch just after he proved them that he can do it😂😂. Chelsea is one of the top 3 teams since January. They went from 10th to 6th and taking a Europa League spot. Unbelievable, they have to start all over again 😂😂

Poch wanted out. He sign in the summer and Chelsea made transfers while he was there. He never had a say. All of sudden he wanted to have a say on transfers ? He wanted out and has gotten what he wanted. If he had stayed he would have another season of struggling. Finishing 6th overshadows how bad Chelsea were this season. Said from the start Poch was never gonna last at Chelsea.

Todd is a businessman. Go look at all his investments, the guy is ruthless. He’s either going to turn Chelsea into a global brand or ruin it like the glazers did Man United.

What a stupid, stupid decision to kick him out. I do feel sorry for Pochettino, he deserved more time and the players said they wanted him to stay, things were looking up a little and I said that sacking managers after 1 season and bringing in another one to replace a manager who either had a bad year and wasn't backed or one whose win ratio was at least 51% or more is just ludicrous. These new owners do not respect the history of Chelsea and are disrespecting the clubs name and making an absolute mess of things at the club.

Pochettino did not deserve the sack. But as a United fan, I'm glad he got sacked lol. They were building up momentum, and might have been a real force next season. Gives United a chance to finish in the top 4 now.

I don't see many successful club owners commenting on this video. Does it ever occur to anyone that just because you don't understand a decision and don't know the reasons for it doesn't mean it's wrong? I mean, people can't even get it into their head that Boehly might not be the key decision maker here just because they can't remember the other guy's (Egbali) name.
