I agree, it was NOT the same by far, but Jason Mitchell assaulted his cast mate and women on other sets. I don't want to see that man do that and then lie about it.
@Gamby_99 Shiiiiiiiiittt... I'm 4 real. It didn't represent Chicago in the right way anyway. 😕 As if a gang leader would be runnin' around w/ trans4mer kissing it and gettin' check by a moist ass nigga @ a g*y bar.😒 Totally unrealistic 👎🏿👎🏿
Tony dungy said 3 things get you in trouble. 1. Going 15mph over the speed limit 2.guns drugs alcohol 3. Women you know too well and women you don't know well enough
Eddie Griffin said it best in his VladTV interview, Hollywood don't wanna see black successful actors walk away clean. Look at how many talented, critically acclaimed actors that's been torn down & their careers aren't the same.
@@madddoggnogood1491 Will Smith Shawn Wayans Lorenz Tate In fact, many actors of Black Hollywood because Black studios aren't funded & most funded studios look for African or black-british actors because they're not "American Ghetto". & the ones you listed if not signed to Marvel or not American, looks like is backed by Whites, MBJ w/ Stallone, Denzel w/ a laundry list.
@@madddoggnogood1491your naming 5 black prominent actors like we arent 13 percent of the population in america. 5 out of 13 million lol. what kind of comparison is that? cmon yo, you gotta be wiser then that. hollywood aint just a city, its a business stupid ass.
Once Bro left The Chi it hasn’t been the same since. I watched the series because Jason was in it. It felt like it was going somewhere. The series still going on but it lost its appeal once he left the show.
This is such a good interview. Jason makes so much sense. He's clear and concise and explained a lot. I believe so much of what he has said in this interview. He seems like he's a really good dude with so much talent. I want to see more of his work. He should be working. He really received the short end of the stick.
It would be believable if his issues didn't happen on 2 different sets...2 different shows, but my thing is when did it become a crime to try and talk to a woman? OH I REMEMBER ITS ONLY BAD WHEN BLACK MALES DO IT...
In one of the seasons (I think it was season 4) an extra was in line at Smokey's and said " i heard that Brandon dude not dead. I heard he is in protective custody." It might not have been verbatim what they said but it somewhere along those lines. Please, please, please run it back if you can
I used to believe in all that “if so and so wins then we all win” bullshxt until I grew up. Focus on your purpose first, then everything else will fall into place. If your loved ones win and bring you along, cool, but do your own work and claim your own wins.
Man I hope things work out for you because you are a great actor I’m watching you right now in Skull Island one of the best movies I’ve ever seen so don’t stop young man shoutout to you 🙏🏾❤️🙏🏾❤️🙏🏾❤️
@@stephonjones46 yup !!! And then come find out that actor/actress left the show... so the killed Reg for nothing!!! She could've just wrote him going to jail
Reg wasnt really a bad guy,you couldnt really label him because even though he was a drug dealer and hard on jake at times,he also cared for Jake and had this frenemy thing going on with Brandon which was great..Reg had his bully ways but he aslo did that favor for Emmett in season 2 by fucking up that preadtor track coach that was dating keisha
Very articulate young man. Not a lot of cussing like do many others on Vlad's show. He explained himself very well. I will continue to follow his career bcuz he's a great actor. God is the judge, not me.
life's not just about making the correct decision but having the right folks around you...a lot of times those people can ruin you faster then you ruin yourself
I was about to say I feel bad for them but the trouble they all go through isn’t much different from working a regular job. Theirs is just more public. Go to work and go home 🤷🏾♀️
Jason is a very talented young man and very articulate. He spoke on very valid points and many artist talks about how Hollywood is dirty and black artist have to work harder to get that fame versus the white artists in which race shouldn’t have nothing to do with anything, it should be talent. Wishing Jason Mitchell all the success in his career. ❤🙏🏽
what he’s looking for and describing, you should already have that in place. But many unfortunately don’t realize it until things hit the fan… and that can be avoided most times.
7:00 Jason Mitchell not the only actor who does that. Adam Driver said as well that he doesn’t watch movies or shows that he was in for that exact same reason
I have to say this. When he says that the girl you were with since you are 15 tries to bring you back down to her level… That’s the problem. When you get in Hollywood, you think everyone has to love you and everyone laughs at your jokes. Then when you go home, you think it’s bringing you down to a lower level. No. Being a regular person with your wife and hanging out by yourself, without a bunch of fans telling you how much they love you, is life. As men we want to conquer 8 million women and we have to start fighting that urge if we ultimately want a good life with a woman.
He meant that she’s breaking him down. Not being supportive. Complaining about what may be necessary for you to pursue your career, the hours, the sacrifices. Or flat out lying, creating havoc to pull you out of character. Not being too arrogant to handle being with someone who isn’t a celebrity.
Its crazy how 1 ACCUSATION can really ruin your life bro these women need to start goin to jail for lying once its proven i dont condone hitting women but thatll turn me to ike turner😂😂 shit gotta be frustrating
These are things u should know on your own if u need a support system start by being that guy who moves smart that c as me from nothing not the guy who wants to be in every scene and party cause this is what can happen
Great interview. I say that actors need A&Rs similar to the record industry back in the day. It is a tragedy that they don’t have people in their corner to support them.
I feel sorry for the younger generation their parents failed them.. dont be around drug addicted people... dont be in car with bullshit.. stay away from toxic parties..those are things that your parents should teach you as a child. Our young ones isnt receiving proper parental nourishment...😢
Preach ....there is no order and the older ppl have chosen not to grow up as many are mentally, spiritually and physically immature for the sake of ego
You said a mouth full! My old girl always told me to watch the company I keep. As well as my uncles. The always told me about people with shady character
After Jason Mitchell left The Chi it really changed. I still watch The Chi but I really don't get excited about it anymore. The story line really went left with the LGBT and night time drama BS.
Im watching this interview now after binging the entire 6 seasons and I can honestly tell you that the show took a total nose dive after they released Jason Mitchell. It is no longer a show built on the innoncence and the positivity of being black. Now its just a dark urban soap opera.
Im not sure exactly what happened and none of us commenting really do but i find it hard to believe that all of this happened and none of this is on him.I think we need to hear both sides of this story.
Everything he said you should just know if you are a responsible mature man with common sense. It’s not hollywoods job to raise you like your a child. And make you a good human being.
Yup u juz a "Cash Cow" 2 them til u crash out from overwhelming transition of never havin ya privacy like u used 2 which come w/ plenty situationz whether good, bad or ugly.
The problem is when elder try to speak with the youth they gun ho they don't listen tell you that you an old head, and thing have changed so your guidance fall on deaf ear and at some point you are going to get tired and just toss your hand up, you can't ask for fame and money and then say i didn't once you put yourself in a adult position then it's up to you to learn how to manage it not hollywood, it's not blaming it call doing "YOUR" due diligence
Yeah acting like you can’t recognize right and wrong and putting the blame on others shows he’s not ready yet to take ownership for his actions. There was a lot of stories about Jason just having no character and being abusive and a a-hole yet it’s Hollywood’s fault. Denzel and others have something called class and know how to maneuver and what not to do. Yeah have people in your corner like your manager helping you but use common sense and don’t act like it wasn’t your fault. I hope the stuff with majors is wrong but Jason’s stuff came out and it was proved to be right on the money and it ruined a lot of business with him. If he said he learned from his mistakes and knows it’s gonna be a hard road back but he’s owning up to his regrets and trying to be better, I can get behind that. Here he just sounds like he’s talking in circles and shifting blame
You neanderthals believe anything. Heck, some of you people root for others downfall. News flash, all women aren’t saints and puritans. Some are just as vile and evil as men. I believe he was set up and I’ll continue to do so. But keep “Believing all women”.
I'm just seeing this and he was definitely playing the victim.... you a grownassman you don't need a babysitter or someone to teach or tell you common sense when you've had years decades to learn not to mess with this type of girl and hang around these type of people.... he sounds like a young teen in the counselors office.... saying that.....
The show started out great, then it started being all over the place, with no consistency. Unfinished plots, people disappearing with no explanation . It started out as a must watch, now it’s just a pot of gumbo with no flavor.
