This video is actually from Jason's instore at Tower Records in San Diego on the day of release for "Waiting for Rocket to Come" - 10/15/02. I was actually one of the people lucky to be there.
I agree with this wholeheartedly. I've been in love with him for the better part of 10 years and it never gets old. This is hands down one of my favorite songs, not only from him, but ever
Oh how I love to explore his songs - everyday another wonderful one for me. And How I love to see this guy sing his soul out of himself with life and limb
Another Israeli Mraz fan!!! yay! you can come to Jason's communa in Tapuz, we will love to see you there. and yes, my dream is that Jason will come to Israel... I wish someday it will happen!
the first mraz song i ever heard, gosh it was about gosh 10 years now, the man is is soooo talented, i enjoy seeing him every chance i get. the best live performer in the industry hands down.
wow.. I think I'm in love:).. his music is such insperation to me, aspcialy his first songs and his acustic performenses that are much more personal and you can hear the MRAZ in them. I'v just discover this song and every time I hear it I allmost cry.. I whish to see his performanc but I dont think he's going to perform in Israel soon. but I'm still hoping=]
crazy2131, I totally agree. I'm yours has been around forever, its cool as anything to see it finally getting some recognition. 0% interest is my favorite though. I couldn't even say why, perhaps the reminiscent feeling to it. Always been my fav. Thanks for this video posting though! It is a fantastic recording and rendition.
I love the day when the guitar fused with the djembe, that was Jason and Toca! Fate had rendered an awesome team that day in Java Joe's. It was this version that I first fell in love with.
^That is the best video ever!! Not only is it the best rendition [to me] of 0% Interest, but it basically sums up Mraz's amazing talent in 1 song. Just listen to the way he sings in it! The passion he has.. And let's not forget how he and Toca work together--amazing!!
Mikmikonet that's exactly how i got to this song. I loved I'm Yours, got interested in Jason and now after lots and lots of good songs i got to this one. And correct me if i'm wrong, but this song is just amazing
Yhe, that's right too. Not every song should be a hit. It's better to have a few hits that a lot of people will like, and then they will search for another songs and find the unknown ones. 0% is wonderful on it's acoustic version... I love it that way.
Favorite song of his....for now. but in other versions i like right before they go to spanish he says "lets turn the channel to bafa califorrrrrnia!" haha.
Yeh, I agree, this song is just fantastic. and I know that sometimes studio recordings are the most fun versions to listen... but don't worry, the version on the live album is great and has a good sound.
That's great. I know a lot of people that the same has happend to them. They knew Jason mostly because of I'm Yours or The Remedy, and then they discovered the other songs and fell inlove with him. Actually the first Mraz song that I heard was "10000 motherfuckers" from "selection for friends" that a friend sent me, and that was enough for me to start searching another of Jason's. And your'e not wrong at all ;) I love this song so so much.
he needs to put a record out with only his live stuff like this. he tries to do WAY too much shit in the studio, he should stick with what he has. pure talent. screw relying on all that studio crap
Brett Myrland His first album was like this. It's one of my favorite live albums. There's definitely too much record company interference in a lot of albums.
i'm in love with this song and this version. Jason's so passionate, at some parts he looks like he's making sweet love to the guitar and mic! (namely starting from 2:30 ) lol. lovvve his voice and all that he can do with it. so...why isnt this a single again??
A string 5th fret, D string 3rd fret, G string 5th fret, B string 6th... muffle the low and high E. challenging at first but it becomes very comfortable quickly. i'm pretty sure he adopted it from dave matthews. good luck.
this is my favorite version of 0% interest. actually the live recording from schuba's tavern from years ago was same arrangement a bit better because there was a bit less messin around
