I adore this song and I will do it til' the day I die, but this version of gives me goosebumps. Man he's beyoooond awesome, how he plays with the melodies and harmonies, just going with it.. Fantastic, love i can't get enough of it
I love to watch the girl in the back, how she smiles throughout the entire song, and even holds back her tears more than a few times... Nice to see some people who appreciate his talent as much as I do. I'd give anything to see him live. Especially in his earlier days.
I swear, if the good Lord almighty sees fit to bless me with a man who is half as punny/precious/talented as Jason Mraz, I will be tha happiest woman on this big ol' earth.
at 0:50 - i love the look on the face of the girl behind him as she sings along... because she expects him to say "talkin to me about some zero percent interest..." but she obviously knows just how amazing jason mraz is - because as soon as he extended the word "zero" - her smile says it all.. she knows he is about to do something AMAZING. And that he does, every time.
I love how every show is so spectacular and unique because he is always changing it up and making it different. He is soooo very talented. I have been listening to his magical man Syren voice since he was here in San Diego back in the early 2000's. It's so great to see that his voice how now traveled all around the world and touched soooo many people. It's inspiring that one person can make such an impressive difference and all from music.
@MeHarmony1 Her smile says it all, doesn't it? His joy is infectious and this crowd felt it. Great vocals, great performance. No hype, no smoke machines. Just a guy and a guitar.
Really cool performance. He is so brilliant. Also one of my favourite songs. Only one thing is bad, and it is the fact that i was not there to see the concert. :)
If i was there, first, i would be 8 years old :p, BUT i would have the biggest grin on my face and the most weightless feeling because that night is magical :)
You can get it on iTunes now-it comes with the album 'Jason Mraz Live and Acoustic' but it sounds really different from this version. Hope that helps :)
"Jumping music, swift DJ's Smoke machines and laser rays Look out weekend 'cuz, here I come Because weekends were, were" I'snt this from the Black eyed peas?
I agree that musicians change and their music changes along with them, but when you have a chance to work for a record label and actually turn your music into more than just a hobby you would be surprised how quickly most artists will sell out. The label does its market research and finds the area in which Mraz would have the most success. He then caters to that new market and no longer the "coffee shop" market. Thats what happened here. His new music is still good but doesn't compare.
check out "my own shit" and "chocolate" somewhere here on youtube! it's not completely the same, but for me it was an enjoyable throwback to his older stuff. =)
