Hey Jason it's your University of Cincinnati creative writing/English composition partner. Only 2 dudes in the class were me and you man. You weren't the typical jock at UC, you were kind, smart, involved, present, and real. We talked about you redshirting, the season. Etc. At no point did I think you'd make the NFL (no offense) it was the NBC headshots (jason kelce University of Cincinnati) you hate doing that made me realize you fucking made it dude. Hats off to you and your career. As a father of a child with autism I'm raising alone, I appreciate what you and your wife do for those on the spectrum. You're a real one man it was a pleasure watching you and sitting next to you working on projects in that class. You clearly didn't need to be in that class with this speech and your superbowl speech and talks with your team. Way to go man
Jason, there's honestly not a strong enough word I could use to describe how thankful I am I got to watch you play football for the Eagles your whole career. You embodied everything it meant to be a Philly athlete. Thank you for always leaving it all on the field your whole career. You deserve retirement 🐐🦅🐐🦅
I want to congratulate you on your retirement and I wish you the very best can't wait to see and follow you on your new journey I have no doubt you will do just fine 🏈🏈🙏
I have a daughter who’s Jason’s age and she is a music teacher. When you called out your music director in your speech it meant a lot to all the teachers out here who rarely get recognized. Thank you.
As a teacher who is married to a teacher that also coaches, I can also say how much it meant to me to hear you dedicate part of your speech to your coaches & PUBLIC school teachers-particularly your band teacher. In a profession that in this era, most people only want to recognize in times of tragedy but rarely for anything else positive-it was really heartwarming to hear how much you appreciated those that got you started on your journey. Thank you so much for that.
The same with Michael Strahan. He WAS a hall of fame defensive end for the New York Giants who beat the undefeated Patriots and he got to retire on top. Now he's doing TV and has TV for years.
If you were to tell me 18months ago that I'd be crying over some guy retiring from the NFL yesterday, and today, I would've called bullshit, but here we are. Congrats to Jason for an amazing career, and happy retirement. 🐐🦅
SAME. This 54 year old woman who all her life watched football in passing ( live in WI where the Packers are forever talked about) never thought she would anxiously await this podcast and watched the speech live and cries throughout it and this!!! You both are wonderful humans and that transcends football!
Beautifully said. I also cried during his speech, and never woulda thought I would be sobbing over a football guy's retirement speech...... but these Kelce's have huge hearts. Love it!!!
I was 36 years old and kinda lost, attended Eagles training camp at Lehigh many years ago just to distract me from my life. Trying to get my health on the track and running around campus. Jason was driving out of the campus, saw my fat ass running, waved, and that was it for me. Loved him from that moment on. And 13 years later and 125lbs lighter (with a few marathons and many half marathons under my belt) I kinda always owed it to his wave at Lehigh. Even if he didn’t know, it inspired me to keep going. All these years later. Thank you for everything for the city. But also thank you for helping this one person be a better version of themselves. Go Birds!
Im a swiftie from like the furthest northeastern hilly city in India, and you cant believe how happy i am that i got to know of this family. No matter what happens, the whole Kelce family will have a piece of my heart. Im a avid cricket and football (soccer) diehard, never in my wildest dreams did i think I'll have an American Football podcast as my #1 podcast for the last 5 months.. I'm now a lifelong 92%
This is so sweet 🩷🩷🩷 I am a chiefs fan since birth and then a Swiftie since 2006 and then a 92%er. And then Travis and Taylor got together and brought so many of you wonderful Swifties into this fandom and it's been so lovely to see these brothers get the love from the Swifties 🩷
This i have to say is my favorite episode of this wonderful podcast! I'm a 92%er for life. As long as the chiefs,or eagles aren't playing the Seahawks I'm always rooting for those two teams. They are the best! Congrats on Retirement Jason!
From India as well❤ I have no interest in sports whatsoever other than cricket but I love watching this podcast because I have never seen such emotionally intelligent sports people and I really admire the Kelce family❤
Us Eagles fans will accept you to be a fan of the Philadelphia Eagles and not the chiefs. I dated a Indian women so be an Eagles fan. She's America Indian but both parents from India they spoke Punjabi and religion Sikh. I miss her but she broke up with me. Wish she would talk to me and work things out. That's irrelevant like I said I know you're a swifty and that's about Travis and not jason but come join bird gang. FLY EAGLES FLY.
Jason, what you said to your wife during your speech showed not just your daughters, but all the young ladies who follow(swifties) that having a man love you fully is not a dream and can be a reality. Your daughters will always be able to see the love their parents shared. What a beautiful gift to your girls and so many young ladies. You also taught young men it is ok to cry it is ok to love and it is ok to be open about love. Thank you for being so amazing. I admire you
That was absolutely beautiful. Brought tears to my eyes. I lost my precious love a year ago. They are a beautiful couple. Just a wonderful family. Blessings to all of them.
💯!!! I once found a card that said "The greatest gift a father can give his daughters is to truly love their mother." It was like an arrow to my heart. I bought that card and gave it to my step dad on Father's Day. After watching my parents have a dysfunctional marriage during my childhood, watching my step-dad be a truly healthy living partner to my mom in my adulthood has been a revelation. Witnessing that makes me deeply happy for her. It also healed something in me. It gave me permission to believe in marriage for myself. Bravo to you Jason for being your authentic, good-hearted self. You are such a healthy masculine role model for boys and girls alike. 🥰
Fyi - There were young ladies & women following this pod before Travis began dating a certain celebrity. Rather presumptive to assume they're all Swifties. 🙄 Female football fans do exist that didn't jump on the bandwagon b/c of some famous woman suddenly becoming a fan of her SO's team.
A 58-year-old, Black woman here who has become a 92 percenter. I began listening when my niece told me Travis had swagger and decided to check y'all out😊 You all are great, and know that the best is yet to come. Your honesty and support for each other is refreshing and loving.
I’m a 57 year old Black man. I was nearly trampled to death during the Jan 6th massacre and I’ve been in the hospital ever since and I love watching these guys! I know Joe Biden is replacing us with illegals but I heard Trump is racist so I’m going to continue to vote Blue.
We love you guys keep up the good work Travis I really want to see you with our beautiful s u p e r s t a r Taylor Swift but if something doesn't work out baby please let me know I think you are so good-looking and f i n e my friend LOL
But I do wish you guys the best you have a beautiful family your parents did a wonderful job raising 2 very good successful young men and Jason I love your wife and precious little girls say like Travis they're so adorable so adorable
Jason paying attention to his friend/co-worker with cancer and having him tape his ankles shows the depth of his humanity and thoughts about others. Its a relatively simple act that shows how he truly cares about the universe around him.
Just when I thought I was done getting choked up over this, hearing Travis say "Football without you just feels empty." got me right back there. Damn it man.
Goat tweet. Respect to these legends. Not just house hold names of their respective teams but of the entire NFL. Jason, thank you for every workout, every practice, every meeting, every game. Haven’t missed a snap since 2014. 6 all Pros in the last 7 seasons with our first Super Bowl. You’re not an underdog anymore, and we wish you still were too! Respectfully accept your decision. You have earned every second of this thank you for everything!
My husbands father was a diehard eagles fan, he passed away the Thursday before the Eagles won the Super Bowl. I believe he was in heaven SCREAMING from the top of his lungs! Jason was ALWAYS his favorite player. Thank you for everything Jason! Loving seeing Travis & Taylor living life! 92%er here
@@winstonsmith11 Joy is subjective and I was stating an opinion. When Matt makes fun of the rainblow-tards and roasts the libs, it brings me just as much joy. This wasn’t based on personality, although your one tenth rating is interesting. I didn’t even know it was possible to judge that. Seems scientific, like climate change. LMDO
It’s touching to see the way Travis loves and reveres his big brother, but also sad to see him grieving the end of this life chapter. Thank you both for sharing your feelings with the world. We need more people like you
You can't tell me a Jason Kelce tailgating show wouldn't be amazing! Traveling to different stadiums(not just football) learning the history of the stadium and team, their traditions, having fun with the fans, and enjoying a game. Obviously if Jason wanted to, congrats on a hell of a career the world is now your oyster!💚
I could see him doing that for Fox when the Eagles have a major game at the Linc, and they bring a camera crew with Jason as he goes to the official tailgate parking lot
I’m an Aussie mum who loves watching the NFL and listening to this podcast. Just love the brotherly love between Jason and Travis, true affection, honesty, passion for the game and not afraid to hold back. Donna and Ed should be so proud of their sons and the way they show up to the world. Congratulations on your amazing career Jason! 👏🏻👏🏻
The fact that he thanked so many people, when he got to his band teacher I decided it was time to grab the tissues. I knew it was going to be a spectacular, heartfelt speech. There is nothing manlier than gratitude, freedom to show emotions and grit. He has all of this! I can’t wait to see what comes next. Congrats!
❤ I am an Australian from the most isolated city in the world who knew nothing about NFL UNTIL I started watching New Height’s Jason Kelce. Jason- you are a legend- more than your athletic prowess is the way you carry yourself , intelligence, integrity, and most of all- the family you and Kylie have made together. You may have closed the door of playing but you have opened to the world. Thankyou for teaching me NFL. Celebrate your retirement.
My cat caught a hummingbird out of the air once! He hunched up in the leaves of the flowers, hiding. When the hummer came to the flower to eat, he sprung up and got it. I was horrified!! But, I didn't get rid of the cat, I just mowed down the hedge of beautiful flowers. They were history.
These are real men, who are not shy on showing raw emotion. This is why so many people love them. A product of good parenting. God bless you Jason on a well deserved retirement and all the success in the future. One of your biggest fans from Toronto 🇨🇦❤
“To have you out… it feels empty” Oh Trav… Bless your tender heart big guy! I have two boys myself and my goal in this life time is for my boys to have the relationship both of you have!! It is also refreshing to see two grown men be sooo raw with their emotions! ❤ Go birds!!! 🦅
As a man, it is better though to not be emotional around your woman. Obviously, if there is a death of a family or close friend, that’s one thing but guys don’t like to be emotional around women because nine out of 10 times all it will do is negatively affect us.I’ve experienced it where women just look at you a little different. If they do see you cry if it’s out of anything other than death or happiness.
@@brandonhemphill5638I’m so sorry you feel this way. The culture around men suppressing emotions is provably toxic and damaging. It is not weak to show emotion. It does not make you lesser, and it doesn’t make you any less of a man. I hope for your sake and for the sake of the people in your life that you see that someday.
I admit that I found this channel because of Tay Tay.....Travis......BUT IN THE END. JASON is the most amazing, humble, FAMILY LOVING, MAN I have ever seen. I will ALWAYS continue to watch. I am a Jason Kelce ADDICT!!! And I have told my husband he has a "standard" to live up to!!!
All women should have the highest standard for themselves especially in a relationship. That’s why I’m still single 😂 I’m sure yours is just fine girl because you’re still there! ❤
umm.... not sure you want to use Jason as the goal. He doesn't help with the kids and he left his wife on a mountain and in the sea when a shark was in the area. He's funny, but the not the "standard" to live up to.
@@tarac4555 barely......I am struggling. That is why I think I see and appreciate the entire Kelce Family, and what Mom and Dad did just for their kids. LIFE SUCKS sometimes, and not all of us have the people around us that will support us......no matter what they are thinking. I truly believe in thinking MORE OF OTHERS than myself. But I get taken advantage of A LOT.
Trav’s story about Wyatt and Elie was so adorable. They must have seen themselves in those girls. The way they both crack up over that Yoko Ono mix-up and that other inside joke they had, you can’t help but laugh out loud with them. It makes sense why they’re so close. After hearing Jason’s speech, about having a small family. They really became each other’s keeper. I love this episode so much. ❤ Also I’m glad I stayed till the end. They really nailed that harmony finally! 😁
I was literally crying before I started watching this. I had surgery to get rid of this Cancer. I got a flu bug from the hospital. So coughing or blowing my nose caused so much pain. I woke-up today with the same sickness I had before. I was absolutely miserable, then started watching this and immediately felt better and laughed, so thank you so much. Broken heart, broken body, bad health at the moment, but you 2 made me laugh and forget about the pain and the sickness. Thank you so much ❤😊
@@nicholasjohnson6536 thank you so very much ❤️ I truly appreciate it. I'm alone on an island sick. I just want to go home. I hope that will be soon. ❤️😊🌺
I’m a 66 year old, die-hard Philly sports guy. I’ve seen some things. And Jason, you are my favorite athlete - not just Eagle, not just football, for every sport I’ve followed in my life. It’s no mistake that the run of success success the Eagles have enjoyed for years now, coincided with the maturation of a group of lions who have led this organization with you for at least 10 years - Fletch, BG and Lane. You guys are men. Men during your best moments and men during your worst. What a standard you’ve set for the young men/players who are following you. Travis you’ve turned out to be more than I expected. You, too, are a man and moving up the charts of my favorite athletes. The Chiefs have become my second favorite NFL team. I follow your stats and always try to catch your games. Travis you’ve become my favorite non-Philadelphia football player. For me, a man is obvious by the way he comports himself on the field and off the field. And you all are men. Thanks for the pleasure of watching you guys. If you all are “in the business of hope”, your stock just went through the roof. Thank you.
The level of emotional intelligence, honesty, and vulnerability you two bring to the table is beautiful to witness. Thank you for sharing your authentic selves with the world. ❤
The level of vulnerability of these two men is something to admire. Something so special you two have. Can't wait to see what's in store in the future for you both!! Thank you for being incredible role models, your character is second to none. Your morals and values is something to admire and aspire to be more like.
Good lord - I’m a lifelong Bears fan and I’ve been crying like a fool for three days watching you go through this process. Congratulations on all you’ve achieved, living your dreams on and off the field, and starting this next chapter. More life is ahead than behind you - embrace it with the same authenticity and integrity at home and in your future career, and you’ll be a legend at way more than football. Cheers! 🎊 🍻🎉
I hope Jason writes a book about his career in the NFL. He has a great way with words and expressing himself. Hungry Dogs Run Fast is the perfect title!
Before Taylor arrived into the picture, I had absolutely no idea New Heights or the Kelce brothers were a thing, but now that I do, I'm so glad, because Jason Kelce has one of the most amazing humors of all time and I hope you enjoy your retirement, Jason.
I love how genuine you guys are. Showing a lot of emotion when a lot of men wouldn't. So much respect for you guys, man. It's important that we have role models who aren't afraid to show emotion, especially men who're so physically robust and play an immensely tough sport. It validates a lot of other men, and shows them a freedom they don't feel like they have because of society's pressures. Getting an insight into your lives, your feelings, and your respect and love for each other is a real privilege. Thanks, guys.
Now I have this horrid image in my head of Yoko Ono ice skating and "singing"! Thanks, man. 😭 Anyway, Travis can sing, so it's not quite the same! Thanks for the lolz, guys!
I was a junior in college when the Eagles won the Super Bowl. I remember skipping class and lacrosse practice that day to travel to the city and go to the parade with my family. Jason’s speech at the end will forever have a special place in my heart. His speech that day helped me get through a breakup I had a few months later. I’ll still throw it on in before/during the gym to give me the motivation I need to be the hungry dog. This man will forever be on my Philly Mount Rushmore. Thank you for everything you’ve given to the sport and the city. Not just as athlete, but as a role model, a leader, and the example of a father and husband I hope to be someday. Philly Philly, good luck in your next chapter Jason. 👑
I am a swiftie and while a lot of fans like me would be interested in Travis (who is amazing) after getting to know all about him and the kelces, I was truly completely captured by Jason. I'm from the Philippines and know so little about the NFL but I learned so much about the sport thanks to you both. I enjoy watching it now. And Jason, you're just an amazing person. Thank you for spreading your light so much that it reached me across the globe. Enjoy your retirement! You deserve it!
@@goldrush18x I never said I didn't care about travis, i love him too. People just expect me to love him more than Jason since I'm a big TS fan, but I was also surprised to be enamored with Jason. They're both amazing people
Bawled my eyes out like a big sap listening to Jason during his speech and now here I am crying with Trav. This Steeler fan and mom is grateful for such wonderful men that young boys can look up to.
Jason, I mean, you have embodied what Philadelphia is all about. Your speech, every speech I've seen you give was heartfelt, emotional, and spot on. My hope is that you continue to be involved in some shape or form in this organization. I think you would be an amazing coach for us. You're passionate, knowledgeable, and first and foremost...you care about every single member of the team, and the city. We need that soo much. You were my first ever jersey, and it's the one I treasure and protect the most. Love you dude...can't wait to see what you do with the rest of your life! Thank you 62!
All these comments are so beautiful, made me cry! I live in CHIEFS kingdom and I came to know about you through Travis. While I don’t have all your career to look back on, I can say without question that I’ve been watching the two of you talking back and forth on RU-vid. I knew about Travis, but now I feel like I’ve learned so much more about the personalities of you both. I think I’m totally in love with you and your whole family!! Such lovely people you all are ❤. Another thing I’ve certainly picked up is how many other people absolutely love you!! You had a great career, you left it all on the field every time, and now it’s time for the next chapter of your life. I’m very happy for you, you’ve got so many more great memories yet to come!! Who knows, maybe I’ll see you sometime in Kansas City. Big hugs and lots of love, you are one of those players who will always be remembered and loved, and THAT is the ultimate win!!! ❤
Your speech on Monday was beautiful, a true love letter. Your contributions to the Philadelphia Eagles mean the world to this city. We are so very grateful for all that you gave to the Eagles and to the city! Even though he didn't get to see it, you made my Father-in-law's dream come true (he passed away in 2013). The joy that it gave to my husband knowing that his Dad's dream came true is something that I will never forget, and we have *YOU* to thank for your contributions: your hard work, blood, sweat and tears. No one could ever dare say that you didn't show your loyalty or your heart when you played each game. We will miss you here and hope that, if it is something you want, the Eagles Organization will make room for you because you have so much to give and teach to new/young players. We wish you the very best of luck in whatever you choose to do from this point on! Thank you again, Jason, we love you!
"In Humility, consider OTHERS better than yourself" That's who Jason Kelce is. His character shines, more than the sport. America needs him. More than 🏈 football ❤
As a mom of sons, I admire the way you respect your brother. Watching my grown sons care and cry for each other warms my heart and makes me feel like they have kept something tender and loving in their hearts. God helped in that.
Good God Jason you had me crying yesterday. I lost my brother in Viet Nam and I have never been the same....never. Good bless you and Travis and stay close....life is really short.
Dammit Travis!! The moment your voice cracked: 😭 I’m a 60 year old man, I should be too old to react like this. Thank you to the whole Kelce family for taking the rest of us on this remarkable journey.
As someone who found this podcast amongst the TS/TK relationship, I have thoroughly enjoyed every single episode and am such a huge fan of the Kelces. Jason, beyond honored that I got to be a football fan for your last year. ❤️
I’ve only just joined this community this year but glad I was able to witness such a pivotal time in your life, Jason. You’ve won the hearts and admiration of so many people! Keep being yourself and enjoy the life you have earned!!!
I met Jason in a bar in Philadelphia. He was kind and funny. I have followed him ever since. He is a shining example of the way a human should behave. good luck and I will be watching.
Beautiful tribute to your brother, your family and your wife. Congratulations and I hope your retirement is nothing but positive opportunities at home and beyond. I for sure can’t wait to see what that brings! ❤
I full on sobbed watching Jason’s speech. Travis keep being good to Tay bc I’m attached to all of you Kelce’s now, the 2 of you, Kylie, and your parents seem like wonderful people 🫶🤍
Jason and Travis, being an old lady, your podcast finally taught me to love football. I've lived with the exposure for 60 years. Married an ex-college football player, even. Thanks.
You guys are killing me! I can’t cry anymore! Seriously - the love between you two is something special. Thank you for sharing it with us. Enjoy retirement, Jason. Go do fun stuff!
Bills mafia member here, appreciate the table jump jason and congrats on the retirement…hopefully when we see the chiefs back here you’ll get you proper Buffalo bills christening. Go bills baby
I am a great grandmother now and from little sister to my great grandson starting t-ball this year I can’t imagine the hundreds of hours I have spent in stands, bleachers and lawn chairs. The thing about your speech that resonated so powerfully with me is when you named and thanked all of your coaches and mentors. As you continue in your path please, please remind athletes and their supporters to be coachable. Listen when the coach has a critique, listen with the same heart you accept their praise. After nearly 60 years as a fan and spectator the difference between good and great is the ability to be coached. Thank you for all you do❤
I am 77 years old and a lifelong Iggs fan. Jason Kelce is my favorite Iggles player ever. Thanks for so many great memories. PS ... I am a Cabrini alumna, too. Well done, Kylie.
Thank you Jason for 13 wonderful years! It’s been a pleasure to watch you go from a rookie to a HOF center. You’re an awesome husband and girl dad. Best wishes on your retirement. I’m sure there are great things ahead of you! 🦅💛
Jason and Trav, that was beautiful...love that Trav showed that emotion. I am crying too, for those of us that remember high school ball, the dreams, the guys, the desire, the work, but just didn't have the size, or talent...We all live through you guys! That was so deep guys, and just know we appreciate the passion!! Much love and appreciation for showing what it means to you, and all of us! STUDS... both of you forever a fan of REAL!!!
Jason, you are in no way overrated. You earned all those accolades by your hard work, passion and drive. Your words at the press conference were powerful and meaningful. The bond you and Travis have is beautiful and it’s great to see two brothers achieve so much yet stay appreciative of those who helped along the way. You showed people that you can be tough, hardworking yet still show emotion and empathy. Your parents raised two wonderful men and seeing your close knit family is inspiring. Jason you are going to be a success whatever the next chapter brings. This episode was both hilarious and heartwarming. Travis, congrats again on the Super Bowl and I hope you enjoy some time off these next few months. Glad to be a 92%er!
I love how emotional and real these 2 are, it’s my favorite thing about them. It’s also why you get some of the things Travis has done on the field. He wears his heart on his sleeve and I relate to that. I started bawling when Travis was talking about Jason’s retirement.
Jason your story about getting your trainer to tape your ankles one last time made me cry like a baby. My husband is a trainer for an AFL team here in Australia , and I know the special relationship he has with his guys, some he has been with since day one of their careers too. Congrats on an incredible career, go birds ❤
Thank you for showing the world what brothers supporting each other looks like. My brother has gotten me through the last 2 yrs when my life had fallen apart.i lost my son and wife within 18 months of each other. Not sure if i would even be here but as always my brother had my back and helped me through it. Don’t ever change
Jason will always be one of ours forever in this city, and little did we know the Kelce brother's are what we need in this world. I'm a proud eagle fan and more proud to have Jason play for this awesome city for over a decade.
Love how you have each other's backs and the relationship you have. As an only child it's an amazing bond that you have. For Travis it will be hard too but on the bright side he gets to see his brother more. New beginnings and glad to see Jason is so positive and looking forward to his new life off the field. Congratulations on an amazing nfl career. Who knows might see you on the field again soon as a coach or commentator. wtf all of you in *AWT66W* ??
I just love these two together they have such dope personalities and the brothers in them come out so much like Travis hysterically, laughing at Jason all of a sudden running again to cross the finish line. It just reminds me so much of me and my sisters.
All this Canadian wants to say, Jason Kelce, is that you're one heck of a guy, a phenomenal football player, awesome husband and father. I had been bawling along with you and millions of others. Love you, Sir!!!! All the very best on your next journey.
Mama and Papa Kelce did a great job as parents because both of these boys are incredible human beings. These men are incredible individuals and in my opinion two of the greatest role models in football and in life!
Jason, congratulations on your incredible legacy of football. You are forever an Eagle 🦅!! And I'm soooo happy that you guys do this podcast. Long may it last! You guys are the bestttt
Best brother's ever to play the game and show the world what beautiful people you are and how men should be with their relationships and live life Your awesome ❤
Jason, congratulations to you and your family. Thank you for taking the time to share your retirement with us. Your message was heartfelt and what a beautiful gift that you gave your wife, mother, and daughters as well as fans, friends, Eagles staff, coaches, and teammates.
As a lifelong cowboy fan of over 50 years, I’ve never enjoyed watching a non-cowboy player, except maybe LT, you were always a class act on, and off the field! You should be so excited of all the things you’re gonna be able to do and achieve in your next chapter, class act all the way! U2 Travis! You’re a hell of a player as well love watching you both!
Thank you so much Jason for all the memories with you i always looked forward to watching you on Sundays and you will surely be missed but I hope all the best in what you do next please let your brother know I said whats up i love him as a player but not the team but thanks again for everything you have done go birds fly eagles fly 🕊️🕊️
