I really loved this audition, Jason is completely original and has a really good voice. It is so refreshing to see something different. Still watching this now so it must be good!
I just love this guy! This is not the kind of music I listen to and I have never heard this song (I'm going to have to listen to the original). He is a natural born entertainer! I love his energy, his voice, his joy in singing, his quirkiness. I hope all of his dreams come true!
I don't understand all the negative comments; this was one of the best auditions of this season. More importantly he didn't come on with some stupid story; he was just good. I have mad respect for this guy.
I'm 50+ years old, and this isn't my kind of music.....BUT this guy is fun to listen to. I was smiling all the way through. I can't wait to hear what he does next.
Tons of personality!!! So much fun to watch. His face has so much character, the way his mouth contorts and has so much expression, he’s like a living comic book character. Very refreshing!!
How amazing is it to have so many different types of people doing their own thing...Keeps us from being bored and makes life so much better!!! Great job!!!
I think this guy is amazing and I wish he had made it past boot camp the show won't be the same without him. And we have great talent here is New Zealand. So good for you I want to hear more from Jason.
wish him a all good luck if he can't make it in australia come to usa ,great personality, great voice and very entertainning young and vibrant people will love his talent
WOW! JASON Can really sing and he know's how to capture the audiences. Everybody's enjoying I should say his Concert. Wow!. Watching from Jax, Fla. USA.
I'm amazed at how many small minded people there are. What does one have to do with the other? If he is gay that doesn't mean he can't have great talent. Nobody knows if he is gay. That is just making an assumption. He has great stage presence and he is charismatic. He's talented.
This could well be genius-level artistic expression. He doesn't just sing the song, he becomes the song and is indistinguishable from it. This is more like instinct than performance. I don't doubt he's honed his performance skills, but he is the music and the music is him. The only possible down-side is if he's a 1-hit wonder and this is the only trick in his bag. Time will tell. And psychologically artistry/trait-openness is both attractive and scary because it is a representation of Chaos. Anything could -- and likely will -- happen. Possibilities are all over the map; and that puts some people high in trait-conscientiousness off. But Jason keeps the performance right on the boundary between Order and Chaos, and that's what "wakes up the crowd". They don't know what's coming next so they can't take their eyes or attention away. Brilliant.
