The good old days when national shirts weren't covered in advertising and there was no music blaring out everytime play momentarily stopped. Jason of course was a joy and privilege to watch.
No it really wouldn't. No contact with head, arms wrapped round and contact with shoulder. If there were any card at all it'd be yellow and even that would be wrong.
They'd have done well. Morley or Hanley would have made a great number 8. I'd have loved to have seen Wilkinson playing league at scrum half - one player from his era who would certainly have had the stamina, defensive play and work ethic to succeed.
Greatest back player ever but why did not Wilkinson got red card or at least yellow for high tackle?! Greatest fly-half ever but a dirty evil player as well. I do not watch this video as a protest of anti-sportsman behavior.
What are you on about? The rules were very different back then and his tackle considered legal. He was known for being a brilliant defensive player and would never be considered dirty by anyone who understands the game.
