Jason Segel & Ali Wong | Actors on Actors 

I’m finding myself so pleasantly surprised by Jason’s level of engagement here. I feel his intent to be honest with Ali and us the audience, ask questions he’s truly curious about, and it helps that he clearly is a real fan of Ali’s show Beef. As someone who also loved Beef, a show that is about so many things, Jason’s main takeaway being that we are all ultimately the same, I feel, sheds light on his resolve towards empathy. What a lovely interview.

"When you’re around somebody you admire, don’t be a fan, be an interviewer and ask them every question that you think will be helpful to you on your journey." Solid advice :)

This was my favorite of this series. They are really really listening to each other. It's refreshing.

Ali Wong deserves the Lead Actress in a Limited Series or Movie for Beef. She was incredible.

I could listen to Jason talk all day. He chooses his words so thoughtfully and has a way of expressing himself that hits me in the chest.

I have such a soft spot for Jason. He seem so kind and gentle but with an underlying melancholy.

I freaking love Jason Segel. This guy is a powerhouse of an actor. Every since I watched him play David Foster Wallace I am fascinated by his honesty and humility. I think his whole transformation into becoming an actual dramatic actor has really shown people how capable and authentic he can be when he gets the opportunity to play something that really touches peoples hearts.

Whoever chooses the matches deserves everything. As always, I did not expect for this pairing to be so incredible. What a great match!

BEEF and Shrinking are easily 2 of the best shows of the past decade. Love these two so much, their talent is off the charts

this is hands down my favorite in the actors on actors series. very genuine and earnest, like two friends catching up with each other. it almost felt like a therapy session. maybe because both of their voices are so calm and relaxing? 😂

I simply can not rave enough about Jason Segel. He is the most genuine person, his work the last couple of years has been so great, so personal and touching- we need to see him in more things like Shrinking, he's got it.

I just love how well Ali Wong rocks the stylish glasses. She's also a great actress.

out of every ‘Actors on Actors’ thus far (save for Chris & Scarlett, Emma & Timotheé, and Jennifer & Viola 😅) i have never wanted a conversation to go for another 12+ hours. this was such a perfect paring. someone PLEASE get them in a project together! their minds combined might create actual magic.

I would've loved if he talked a bit more about growing as an actor while working on HIMYM. In season 6 Jason really proved that he can do way more than great comedy and also make us sob like a baby.

Very engaging conversation! Love these couplings that Variety comes up with. FORGETTING SARAH MARSHALL is a favorite movie, one I can watch repeatedly, lol. Jason Segel’s voice in this conversation surprised me - doesn’t sound like the same voice (lower) in the movie. I wouldn’t have recognized it if there was no video.

I’ve watched many of these and this is my favorite. Both were so engaged and articulate. They come off as either goofballs or abrasive and both were so soothing to watch.

Over the years I've heard of so many stories of encounters fans had when they saw Jason out in public. None of them have been pleasant. But the stories truly felt and came off like he was struggling with something internal. Then he disappeared for a long time, and I honestly wondered if he was okay. He's such a deep and passionate person, I love thats getting acknowledged more often now and that he's doing more interviews and shows. He's definitely one of the good ones. *** I'm not implying or suggesting he owes random people a pleasant and happy experience just because he was reckognized on the streets or simply because he's famous, he doesn't (nor does any actor!). Sometimes fans don't respect boundaries.

Loved this episode so much. Jason is forever so loveable, thoughtful, and present. Ali is forever my twin (girl I fully want to be Harrison Ford, sitting, telling jokes lol). Ali is so authentic and honest. Comedians always know how to get an audience invested. (some of these episodes with some actors are soooo boring and way too artsy you have no clue what the heck they're talking about). I could listen to Jason and Ali talk about almost anything for hours!

I loved BEEF so much. Great acting, so funny and touching, complex, with so many layers... Probably the best thing I've seen this year (along with The Bear (which I saw this year lol)). And I ADORE Jason. He's so honest and soft in the best best ways, I can't wait to see Shrinking.
