Yes I agree 💯. This song encapsulates the ambience of the era and energy. I remember it as a kid. Not only is it a good song but it transcendence. Hard to explain.
+xUzi786 the only way you'll ever experience good music is on RU-vid by the time you were 1 years old Tupac was dead and he was the last musician with any spirit
This song is a lot different than the others, the suspense, tone of it, just perfectly fits the movie setting! Friday The 13th Part VIII Jason Takes Manhattan
@@misfortune6666 you werent even born in the 80s and u wanna go back? i mean if u like the cold war, fucking drug addicts everywhere go ahead im so bored of kids wanting to go back to 80s. They just wanna go back cause of the music and the movies admit it thats the only thing
I love this song brings me back to when I was a kid and had a full life ahead of me.. ugh miss the 80s .. I love this song.. it's comforting for some reason.. I also remember the ending credits.. I listen to this song at least a few times a day..
I totally feel you on that, I was born in 79 and elementary school was so rad in the 80’s then to catch the early 90’s in middle then high school the freaking music and movies were awesome!
The Rated Rockstar™ Official Channel I agree I grew up on 80s and 90s music and movie genres horror, action, sci fi,suspense ,or crime thriller. but jason is better than most horror villains in my opinion. besides candyman good song.
I was watching the movie that brought me here. I love the movie and the music. I loved all Friday the 13th movies. The 80's was the best. I was born in '79. I liked the music and movies they had back then better than what they have to offer than the current times. ❤
This movie gets shit on so much...It's probably the last of the truly good and fun FRIDAY films. And I love this intro, it's totally different from the previous films. The film was more of a comedy thriller than straight horror.
Mykee Morettini I don't particularly like it that much but it's at least a lot better than Jason Goes to Hell or Jason X it's also better than Freddy vs Jason
I like Jason takes Manhattan, there were bits that scared and made me laughed at the same time, it’s better than the movies today, the CGI and effects in a lot of films now are really bad
I used to be scared watching this as a kid but now I laugh at it because I think it's funny now. Funny scenes 1.) The boat scene when Jason watched a student climbed to the top of the boat and 2 seconds later Jason tossed him down. 😂😂 Funny scenes 2.) The old man was staggering to walk with a axe in his back while carrying the big butcher knife. 😂😂 Funny scene 3.) Jason tossed Julius off the boat.😂 Funny scenes 4.) Jason kicked the gang members radio on the street. Funny scenes 5.) Jason vs Julius on the roof top. Julius missed a few punches before getting his head knocked off by Jason 😂😂 Funny scenes 6.) The old man ran from Jason far as he could in a abandoned building and 2 seconds later Jason tossed him out the window. 😂😂 This is a funny movie now..
These types of songs kind of make me sentimental, I mean it’s a bad ass cool song but just think of growing up in the 80’s and 90’s and how good we had it compared to how shitty this world has become plus miss some of the people that will forever be gone but never forgotten... We might not ever see the 80’s the again but man good times.
It's like this. We live in claustrophobia, the land of steel and concrete. Trapped by dark waters. There is no escape. Nor do we want it. We've come to thrive on it and each other. You can't get the adrenaline pumpin' without the terror, good people ... I love this town. friday the 13th part 8
I know there's people who didn't like this movie. But man I LOVED IT!!!!!! :) this was honestly the last one good in the series which was the last one of the 1980s after the 1980s decade the movies sucked a lot. sorry fans. I miss the good old classic jason movies. Long live the classics. :) 1980-1989. thumps up if you agree that the old jason movies are way better.
It's hard for me to decide which song I like better. This. . .or Alice Cooper's "He's Back(The Man Behind The Mask") . . . . . . Ah,the hell with it! I love both of them! :)
I remember seeing this movie as a child at the local movie theater. Random as ever but it definitely sets the vibe in the beginning of this film. Good job!!!
You can’t like just one Friday the 13th film. The first eight films literally connect directly to each other with amazing continuity. It’s one whole story. After Part VIII, it just wasn’t the same.
The bad reviews this film got from the "critics" was undeserved. Jason Takes Manhattan was a belter of a film, like the other 7 before it. Not every day a boat full of college students pulls Jason Voorhees along for the ride. I also remember the interview he did with Arsenio Hall to promote this film.
I know N that interview still runs on youtube. You could see that even Arsenio Hall was getting uncomfortable trying to speak to him and knowing that Jason was going to sit there in silence knocked him sideways.
You gotta show your city some respect!!! Beatches. Easily one of the best 80s movie theme songs. I was just doing a Jasos marathon for the 2017 October, and got to part 8. Totally forgot how badass this song was. And yes, the 80's has the best of everything. And I was there to witness it all.
wasn't around in the rock n roll days aka 70s/80s but huge huge Jason fan would love to travel back in time and watch each movie in order each year it comes out
Late Night with The Bear & Chubless last Halloween I’ve seen people dressed as Jason but other then that not often unless he is on a billboard or a screen in a theater at Times Square
