Man I remember seeing J. Williams play on TV back in the day and maybe I underestimated his skill back then, but looking at this footage makes me realize how special a talent he was. That assist using the right elbow was jawdropping.
Jason Williams was fun to watch just like Barry Sanders was to football. Jason is underrated, this guy played like you would in the streets making professionals look bad.
@@JavierArochoVega I don't think the game ever caught up to 'Pistol' Pete Maravich - but Williams gave us a glimmer of what the game would have looked like.
So glad I got to see Jason Williams play in person in Sacramento at Arco arena. He brought excitement to the fans, and we started getting sellouts every game. The kings were wonderful back then.
Awesome to watch. He was fearless. But statistically he had too many turnovers in big situations. They had to trade him to take the team to the next level. He ended up at a younger team that really had no identity. If he had been surrounded by other veterans he could have made the transition.
Behind the back "bullet" passes, either hand. Such great vision. That is what the fans paid to see "SHOWTIME". The kings were such a talented crew. I don't know if there is or has ever been such a pass happy-unselfish team like these guys.
No doubt one of the most entertaining players of his time. As a fan of his it was frustrating to see all of the highlight reel passes that went off of teammates or out of bounds. It used to drive the coach crazy.
Decent video. I'd say some of the passes from 4-8 are the top 3 though since we have never and will never see those passes again. We will see layups like the top 3 but those passes. That was a once in a lifetime thing. His play was his style. Too me he was like an artist with his creativity, it was just natural and he simply loved making it look pretty
White Chocolate could've been an all-time great. Undoubtedly, one of the best passers, ball-handlers I ever saw. I don't know how Sacramento didn't win a chip even when they traded J-Will for Bibby 🤔......
That was a cool smile by Gary Payton at the end, and it mean, You do grreat, I've been watching. And I've be watching too, Basketball becomes more interesting when great moves surprises the Fans, They love it and enjoy it.
La expresion del gran GARY PAYTON lo dice todo...éra SENSACIONAL la MÁGIA de JASON WILLIAM, soy fanático de los LAKERS...péro a veces los ROBOS son muy INJUSTOS
C’MON NOW‼️The Glove was the top defensive Point Guard of that era and for him to try TRIPPING him after that killer crossover... J-Will had elite skills.
Pete Maravich. Was the king...none better.. Average 44 point in college all time leader.. a magician with the ball...jason could not shine his shoes...he scored 72 points against the Knicks Clyde Frazier's was guarding him...look him up..pistol Pete.
Pistol Pete Maravich he was the best look at the highlights of him he scored 72 points in one game against the Knicks Clyde Frazier nobody was better than the pistol.
Jason Williams was an absolute ankle breaker. He played with Randy Moss (straight cash Homie) in high school. I saw highlights of them together and they were something.
