That incident does not deserve a six match ban. If Jasper Wiese was any nationality except a South African het would only receive a two match ban. Evan Roos is the best replacement for Jasper with Sya Kolisi and PSD the other loosies with Elrich Louw on the bench. Cameron Hanekom Milo Gumede, Franke Horn, Phepsi Buthalezi, Ruan Venter, the Du Preez Brothers, Januarie Augustus and others are all excellent loosies that make the Boks depth in the back row unbelievably strong.
With Roos form there’s no question, even with Wiese back. Look at the Connacht try. He’s an absolute tackling and breakdown machine. Doc Rassie can fine tune the rest.
For the Wales test, I will take Franke and Phepsi if Kwagga is not available. For the following tests, Kwagga, Roos and Louw. I think they can even play Mostert at 8. We have enough locks. Eben, Lood, RG, Kleyn, Moerat and Nortje.
Then this is the perfect opportunity to find one rather than paper over the cracks. This is when we need to try Elrich Louw, Juarno Augustus or Francke Horne.
@@Karma-qt4ji yeah but you don't just throw an untested 8 up against ireland There are alot of options I'm excited for but there's no way they make the ireland series unless it's on the bench at absolute most
@@Forest9528 We're the Springboks, boet, every game is important. And we have to introduce the new guys sometime. I would prefer to put say Francke Horne in to start, and keep Kwagga on the bench to come on and clean up. That is better in my mind to starting with Kwagga and bringing on inexperienced players to finish out.
The Kwagga starting at 8 experiment was tried and tested and failed dismally, fi yoh guys even watch Bok rugby outside of world cups. Kwagga is a finisher (super sub) he wins games off the bench, it took years to figure that out. He's not physical enough off the restarts and puts our restarts under pressure tactically
Kwagga is always a great option, but I love him off the bench more. van Staden could be an option, but i think i see him being used to replace the Deon Fourie role in the team, a great flanker that could scrum in a pinch... Given new scrum laws diminishing scrums I expect to see Van Staden used as a suedo "prop"/"hooker" off the bench. So my guess is you are right its between Louw, Roos and JLDP right now to start. All the yoinger talent in the team will probably have to fight for an opportunity to come on from the bench, and earn a starting opportunity from there.
Nah boet, what he did was ridiculous. Might have put the guy down into another player but not much difference between the action here and what Italy did to Duane in 2019. Gotta get that shit out of rugby so hopefully he learned his lesson and he won't try it in the Green and Gold.
@@frontierlandfrank5314 It scares me how out of touch some of my countrymen are with what is and isn't considered dangerous play. Firstly, he hit the guy in the rib cage with a shoulder charge. Not a huge deal but the same thing that saw Scot Barrett yellow carded (second yellow = red) when he did it to Malcolm Marx in the Twickenham game. We all applauded that decision but now we think it's not even a penalty? Secondly, he lifted the player off the ruck, twisted him in the air and put him down head first into the ground with force. Again, we saw a variation of this in the 2019 RWC when Duane was dumped on his head by Andreas Lovotti of Italy, and we all applauded the red card then. How the fuck can we now suggest that it is not even a penalty???
I Think the future loose forwards will be like this. 8:Roos, 7:Louw, 6: Gumede. With Hannekom off the bench as 8 cover and Pepsi as 7 cover with Louw shifting to lock if Pepsi comes on
Once Buthelezi gets his grown man muscles it'll be a long way back for everyone else. He's the closest thing to Duane for me, everyone else is either great in attack and a little light on physicality, or too aggressive but penalty prone, Buthelezi is completely balanced. But I would like to see Augustus being given a go
Who are the idiots at WR that are in this committee. What are their names. I would love to see this.... because we will be surprised as to who they are. The same with the Bunker group. Who are they. Let's name them!!!
Calm down. Jasper Wiese received three yellows and a red in 2021, his first year at the tigers so has issues on the field.. You bokkies make me laugh. You scream at every other nations players when you perceive an injustice against you, yet go all blind eyed at your own players. Wiese got 6 weeks for what was basically and head slam into the ground. But wait! Weren't you bokkies screaming the very same when you played France in the WC demanding a player be thrown out of the game!!!!!!!!! Wiese has discipline issues and the head shot in his last game is a prime example and you acting all paper tough demanding names is proof you bokkies are the biggest whiners and hypocrites out there.
At number 8, we are spoilt for choice in terms of depth. Cameron Hanekom is my number one choice, but I would love to see the DuPreez brothers in the mix.
Buthelezi got what I call "gym muscles"... He's still 24, but once he hits that grown man physicality when he's 26/27 I think he'll be by far the best 8th man in SA. That ret in the final already showed what's to come from him
Seems you know your stuff. Juarno Augustus, was injured the season after repping for U/20 SA's where he scored 8 tries in the tournament (player of the tournament) . He played 1 game for stormers at 7 was injured and the rest is.. He head overseas a few seasons to early I feel. And in stepped Evan Roos. That being said every 8thman you mentioned has something to give. Some are athletic, others, bulky ball carries and some like Kwagga have unmatched skills. Long live SA Rugby
Seriously??? You think what Wiese did was acceptable?? Geez buddy, if someone (like Italy) had dropped Duane on his head (like Italy did), we would be rightfully losing our shit. We have to abide by the protocols whether they are applied to us or our opposition. There is no place in the game for this kak.
They already hate our scrums. They have enforced new rules to make the game more "fluid," "running rugby" 😂 They forgot we have actual depth in our squad.
😂😂what would happen if we all just waited to see what Rassie picked instead of being these so called armchair coaches.... This content creation is becoming a bore to some extent... Simply because you get fans who are so disrespectful towards other players just because that particular player is not your favourite. Let's be fans and just appreciate the game..
You're joking surely? He shoulder charges the guy in the rib cage, lifts him up and drives him head first into the ground. What part of that is even halfway acceptable under the current protocols??
@@daisysuperdog2814 where is the exaggeration? And in what universe do you think any of what he did was acceptable? We can only be grateful that he did it in a club game and did not cost the Springboks a game by being a doos.
@@daisysuperdog2814 You and I both know that this incident was as bad as Andreas Lovotti tipping and dumping Duane Vermeulen on his head at the 2019 RWC and we both know you did not complain about *that* red card being bullshit or rugby going soft. So stop being a doos, have the balls to say why you think it was not a red card, what mitigated it; have the balls to actually take a standpoint rather than just attempting to insult the person who disagrees.
AFRIKAANS MY TAAL!!
