Sorry , but why I havent the same line as you ( servlet in files ? because I have another version , or ? and where I can find it ? Answer please ? I need it a lot , but it doesnt work , and I cant find it )
I created the project just as in the video and deleted the index.xhtml file and added index.jsp just as in the video. But when I type in localhost:8080/ I am not redirected to the index webpage. I get "404 error The origin server did not find a current representation for the target resource or is not willing to disclose that one exists." as before. Why??? Why does it work for you and not me? Any thoughts?
@@DonHash The problem is like this: I have only a index.jsp , no other servlets or anything. When deployed, the link goes to localhost:8080/Statements_war_exploded/index.jsp instead of localhost:8080/index.jps or localhost:8080. Both localhost:8080 and localhost:8080/index.jsp gives a 404 not found error. I'm still a beginner and I wonder why it has to be going through the link "war_exploded". "statements" is my project name.
@@kzu8976 Don't know if this is too late, but it should work if you go to the server Edit Configurations->Deployment and in the Application Context textbox you have /projectName.war - exploded. You just need to delete that and leave an / instead. At least that's what worked for me :D
@@JohnDoe-ej6vm hi, so basically, in the top right corner, left of the run button, you have the tomcat server, you click on that and there you have "Edit Configurations.."
HTTP Status 404 - Not Found Type Status Report Message /welcome.jsp Description The origin server did not find a current representation for the target resource or is not willing to disclose that one exists. Apache Tomcat/9.0.12 Can anyone help ?
