on spin turning track 200+ runs extremely difficult,,,but player like javaid miandad can do very well,,,, understandly he is one of the best batsman against spin bowling,,,, what a great cricketer javaid minadad
Javed a masterclass batsman. He used to play with full spirit for Pakistan. I will say he was just like Ken Barrington.Very difficult to out. He was very Gentleman during initial stages of his career. The tour of Australia in 1976 changed him completely. He was sledged by Australian players and was not able to score runs as per his standard.Mushtaq Captain was also unhappy with his performance. But this son of Policeman faught back and came strongly and never looked back and became LEGEND.Great players belong to Game. He was the Role Model for many young players who were not lazy. With Majid, Zaheer, Asif, Mushtaq,Waseem Raja,Bari,Mudassar,Imran,Sarfaraj - Pakistan became a formidable side.
What a lovely breezy Karachi that was. In every summer vacation...we used to go to from Lahore to Karachi to Naani's house..and used to visit Clifton beach. Time flies.❤
Karachi is at least as breezy or even breezier later on. In July 2011 I visisted Karachi for a week, and the strong cool breeze made weather more pleasant than even March in Multan. In the interior of the country we live in virtual hellish conditions from May to the early October. Lucky Karachiites. I wish I too had lived in a coastal place!!
Javed Miandad was really a Great player and Pakistan won many matches due to his Great and intelligent batting. His batting average in Test Cricket had always been 50 plus since the first Test match 👍
Javed Miandad was a genius batsman of Pakistan and he played masterpiece innings all over the world. Today's batsman are just below mediocrities level.
He is a good player fighter for sure. But not among greatest of wirld batsmen. He technique wete always susceptible against shear west indian quicks against Garner,Holding Marshall and roberts. His record against Westindies is not the greatest
@@srikanthk266 Agreed...but no batsman of the world could play the WI fast bowling attack confidently, including Sunil Gawaskar, Srikanth, Tendulkar, etc. You can see their vedios, rest upto international commentators how they described a player performance.🌷
@@arcticwanderer2109 Plz don't include Babar Azam as it's too early...he has yet to perform against Fast bowling of international standards, particularly Australia, West Indies, New Zealand, England, etc. To me, he is above mediocore level cricketers.
@@blackdiamond7089 Babar is the greatest talent to come out of Pakistan and is a top 3 player across formats. His best is yet to come. He has proven in all conditions and in all three formats. Best 25 and under batsman in the world by far. Sky is the limit.
This match was played at a time when most of the Punjab areas were in flood...I still remember that time..Miandad also scored 107 during this series and Shoaib Muhammad got out once on 94.
Plz upload Pak vs ind 2004 practice match in Lahore ...where Imran nazir and taufeeq umer bat brilliantally ...pak chase above 350 ....thank u zohaib Sir
Keya batchpun yad kerwa deya yar tumny yeh inning mainy radio commentary per suni thi pocket size radio school ley ker jaya kerta tha or har period k khatam hony per 2 si 3 min ki commentary sunta tha ..Pak won that test and series by 1-0 In that match Iqbal qasim got 4+ 5=9..wickets
Wow, I didn't know any footage of this series existed. If you have it, could you please post the footage of Ramiz Raja's first innings dismissal (c Healy b Reid)? It was Healy's first Test dismissal, I've been looking for the footage for years....
Aapi ki shadi ke hangamay thay aur Ek taraf Miandad ki batting ! Yaadgaar rahenge Woh din .... 88' ke jhankaar Indian songs ki cassettes kalay kapday walay Dec per band kerwa kerwa ke thak Raha Tha main q k commentary sun saku 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 magar phir koi bachha volume full Ker deta tha 😁 Ab dulha Bhai Nahi rahay bhaiyya 😭
In 1980 Australia played Pakistan in 1980 in a 3 test series which Pakustan won 1-0. The first test match had a turning wicket that Iqbal qasim and Ray Bright both utilised but which the Pakistan batsmen handled better. The 2nd and 3rd tests had feathernmbed wickets in which Lillee and Imran barely took any wickets. In 81/82 in Australia, Australia won 2-1 convincingly. Though Pakistan might have put their stamp on the series when they dismissed Australia for 180 in the first inning of the first test. In October 1982, when Australia toured, the Pakistan team ground Australia into the dust, 3-0 with a heavy defeat for Australia in each test. Only Geoff Lawson and Greg Ritchie enhanced thete reputation. Rod Marsh, Jeff Thompson, Kim Hughes, Alan Border, Bruce Laird, Terry Alderman and Bruce Yardley all had poor series. The 83/84 series was the series whete Australia was most dominant. If not for rain at Brisbane they probably would have won 3-0. Instead they won 2-0 with Yallop, Border, Hughes, Phillips, Chappell and Wessels scoring significant runs. Lawson, Lillee abd Rackeman for the first 2 tests, led the attack. Pakistan didn't have Imemran as a bowler for the entire series. In 1988, an improving Australian side were destroyed in the first test in a manner remissions of the Australian team in 1983, but improved thereafter and were unlucky to draw the 3rd test. Ultimately losing the series 1-0. In 1989/90, the Australian team, fresh from beating England 4-0 in England, won the 3 test series 1-0. They coukd have won the 2nd test to make it 2-0, but Pakistan with their individual brilliance had opportunities to won bot the first and 2nd test. The decade featured some great nd very good players on both sides. Australia had Greg Chappell, Alan Border, Dennis lillee, Terry Alderman, Kim Hughes, David Boon, Mark Taylor Dean Jones, Ian Healy, Rod Marsh, Bruce Yardley, Mark Taylor, Steve Waugh, Merv Hughes, Bruce Reid and Rod Marsh. Pakistan had Imran khan, Javed Miandad, Zahir Abaas, Salim Malik, Wasim Raja, Abdul Qadir, Iqbal Qasim, Waqar Younis, Wasim Akram, Mudassar Nazar and Mosin Khan.
An always over rated batsman who used to pile up centuries in home series with the help of friendly umpires, just check how many centuries Javed Miandad has scored outside Pakistan
@@rockysoft2227 How many of your great Indian batsman have scored two scores of 250 and above in the SENA countries ( South Africa, New Zealand, Australia, North Merica, Europe) . Not a single score of 250 or above from anyone of those long list of Sachin, Gavaskar, Sehwag, Laxman, Dravid, Ganguly. Miandad alone has two. A tight slap on your biased comment. Sachin and Dravid have no centuries against Mc Grath in India, Gavaskar had none against Lillee in Australia and Hadlee in NZ. Miandad has two against Lillee , 3 against Hadlee. So what were you saying again?😊
Bakwas krne se pehley record check krlo......shayad tumhein Sharam aa Jai....England,Australia,West indies,India,SA hr mulk mein score Kiya hey Miandad ne.......
