Well season two is a slight improvement (then again that bar has been set extremely low) it still has numerous problems, like that Ryan acts entitled, vengeful, and incompetent at the job. Plus the race-baiting just makes it even worse.
@@terrancehall9762 how is anything I said racist? Have you seen the show? It’s not just awful, but it reaches new level of cringe that I didn’t was possible. Plus when it takes on politics and social issues they somehow are able to make Batwoman look more incompetent.
@@terrancehall9762 well as a person of colour(doesn’t mean anything but you always have to state it nowadays) I can tell you, that this Batwoman isn’t it. I’ll give season two credit that Javicia Leslie was a better actress than Ruby Rose, but that’s because they had the acting capability of a plastic cup. Though Ryan’s Batwoman was just as incompetent as Kate’s. She went on about how police weren’t looking for missing Black kids but when the opportunity came up for her to actually have a chance and find one of these missing children she halted the mission because it involved her seeing her ex-girlfriend and she couldn’t handle seeing her. Plus with the drugs subplot it made no sense; first she was some kind of drug dealer, then it was the Crows who planted them on her, then it was her running with them to get them away from her ex-girlfriend. Season two didn’t make any sense and made Batwoman look even worse than in Season one and I thought that was impossible.
I don’t really get why people hated so much on Lilly’s show and how it was all about her gender/race. This obviously takes courage to speak about and i’m genuinely so proud of how far she’s came:)
Its such a big deal. Theres never been a woman like her thats been in late night. Just like Kamala Harris. She's the first woman of colour to be a US Vice President. People are also asking why her race matters. Because there's never been a woman let alone her being coloured.
@@seethaldoki448 As much as I appreciate the time u took to write all this, I disagree with how u think that ur disappointment is equal to valid criticism bc it is not. Valid criticism would be referring to production quality rather than the actual content. She’s done years and years of wonderful content that we have found something relatable even if we are an old 60 y old man (as u mentioned) but will this old 60 y old man be awake at 1:45am to watch her show? She’s targeting her MAIN DEMOGRAPHIC and I personally think that she’s learned from her mistakes in Season 1 and done far better this season bc she was given the chance
@@seethaldoki448 Since we both agree that the second season is doing progressively better than the first then we can leave it at that. Thanks for the respectable dispute and I can tell u genuinely really like her as well. I suppose the only difference between us was that I didn’t expect her to have been TV ready immediately- and her content in the first season did actually have variety and I did enjoy a few sketches that didn’t have to do with gender or sex such as Canadian Headlines. It’s also a psychological facts that humans form a stronger bond over enduring a difficult battle (i.e mental illness) rather than a good experience (i.e going to Disney World). Therefore I do think she was trying to show people that it’s possible to be in a position of power bc we live in a very racist & sexist time and many of these people are discriminated against for that pure reason. I get where you’re coming from that it can’t be all that’s talked about but it’s important to at the moment
How? Seriously how? Just watch season 1. Cringe as hell. It was NOTHING like season 2. It was EXACTLY what Lilly said. It was "a bisexual woman of color". That's it. Said on and on, repeat. We get it. Said once. If you keep anything on absolute repeat mode, everyone is gonna get frustrated. There was negative entertainment. Not even zero. There's a limit to which we can be humiliated. As Indians we had been rooting for her. Hoping she does a great job. What was worse was it took her SO LONG TO REALISE that that's exactly what she did. She made her whole being and worth down to 1. Gender 2. Sexuality 3. Skin colour. That's it. Literally that's it. And it was obnoxious! Once you've come out obviously everyone knows. There was no content at all. She was obsessed with repeating the keywords. And we all want the best for her. I've seen her for years. But she never learnt to take constructive criticism. Season 2 is a blessing. It's way more like Lilly as we knew. And it's entertaining. And meaningful. Wish she had listened earlier!
@@LillySinghFans There you go! There was a woman before as a host. And therefore anything she said created a boastful false narrative and there was literally no talent on the show that Lilly is known for. We were so disappointed. So humiliated. Didn't know where to hide our faces. She was a disgrace in season 1. Thankgod Season 2 is great so far. I had lost any remaining hope of redemption. But Lilly finally finally realised what she has done.
Oh wow I didn't know about this show! I'm going to check it out now I've been wanting to get into a new Superhero show! Javicia is beautiful and love her energy
I feel like the music is a bit too loud and distracts from the conversation. The conversations are usually so good, I really don’t think they need the music (or at least such loud music)!
Better to come out on your terms before someone else thinks it's an outing..and a secret, and try to out the person. The show would be all about that if she hadn't done it first.
why the music? That's a no, PLEASE don't do that again lol especially cuz the sound was lower on this whole episode but other than that the episode was GREAT! Just as international and non-English person, please don't do the music lol
The sad thing especially for season two is, they actually could have made Ryan’s character good. Like they should’ve kept with their plan to make her a drug runner because then we can start to see that maybe she should contribute healing and fixing Gotham, rather than destroying. That way she can work up to earning her place on the Bat podium and would be able to be more separate from Batman or Kate and not be a plain carbon-copy. But no, they just decided to make her entitled, selfish, vengeful, and not even competent at the job. As well the race-baiting just makes it even worse.
