Even in the book, Anton Shagur reads differently. You can tell that he’s different from the other characters in the written word. Javier Bardem really crushed it by bringing him to life. It’s wild how amazing he was in that movie.

I worked as an extra for a couple of years. Brutal! Pay is less than minimum wage, travel is at your own expense - your agency takes a cut of your shit wage and the whole time you’re there your treated like cattle ….

My step dad had that exact haircut in 1981. It was quite common. People forget things so easily. Do an internet search of men from 1977-1982 and you will see tons of examples of that exact haircut. The coen brothers are genius and wanted the movie reflect the era.
