Im so proud of my friend Lawrence Brownlee. we grew up togerther from little kids. Went to church together, played music together, sang in gospel group together.
Will there ever be another era where we have three great coloratura tenors of the caliber of Brownlee, Camarena and Flores? It's silly to compare and say that this one is better than that one and that one is better than this one. Just enjoy the fact that you can enjoy all three. And then to have two of them sing this monstrous duet? it leaves one breathless.

THE VOCAL FIREWORKS , THE TESSITURAS , THE FLEXIBLE RUNS , CADENZAS , WE ARE BLESSED TO HAVE FLOREZ , BROWNLEE , AND CAMARENA TO CARRY ON THAT GOLDEN ERA OF BEL CANTO !! BRAVO , BRAVO , BRAVO !!!!!

A word for the conductor, Asher Fisch (who I've not encountered before) - this guy knows how to conduct Rossini, no limp wristed approach so common these days, he brings the music to life just as it should be. Great performance all round!

Mexico has the best singers of our time, but Lawrence Brownlee, is by all means, one of the very best! His coloratura and technique are flawless! One to admire for sure. And Mr. Camarena, well... what can be said about the best male opera singer of 2021... nothing but MARVELOUS things. He has the best overpitch high notes I have heard in any tenor, including the great Pavarotti.
I believe all the hairs on my body were blown off by the sheer pointedness and purity in their high C’s. Two of my favorites tenors today! Their agility is insane and the way they just give their entire beings to a piece is really captivating to watch!
@@dboyen Sounds like you are insanely jealous because your reason simply fell through broken floor boards; just listened to your Michael Spyres and he is no better but does have a nice voice. I repeat what was said initially, how "could any of those 4 that gave thumbs down to this wonder...". I like them all and wish I were on stage singing with them. I have the talent and vocal range but no training. :(
143Magnes , I joined him there. Though they are two very good Bel canto tenors, I felt they murdered this. Florez is the Maestro, in this repertoire. Camarena aspirates his colaratura, spoiling the smoothness of the line, and Brownlee cannot combine virility with his singing, so he sometimes sounds a bit like a counter tenor.
Hola amigos de la buena música ahora que estamos en casa por desgracia por el virus pues como les iba diciendo que e tenido tiempo de escuchar a mucho tenores y la verdad ay unos cuantos que desde humilde sencillo punto de vista son buenas figuras pero me quede con 3 de esas figuras 3 Ramón vargas 2 Javier camarena 1 Alfredo kraus ¿ porque después de analizar a los 3 me di cuenta de que kraus tenía un don que Dios le dio ser el príncipe de tenores gracias a su técnica siempre sobre sale por encima de los demás mi comentario no pretende discriminar a nadie sólo doy mi modesto comentario felicidades a Ramón vargas y a Javier camarena y husted maestro Alfredo kraus DEP SIEMPRE EN MI CORAZÓN

li trovo due ottimi tenori Rossiniani, con estensione notevole sull'acuto e volume appunto, adatto per il ruolo da Rossiniani ....Se poi oggi, pensiamo che i tenori leggeri possano cantare da lirico, lirico spinto, eroico e drammatico e considerarli come il meglio in ogni campo....insomma, son felice di amare il trentennio degli anni 50/80....mia opinione personale
