It wasn't quick. Argentina had many liberal economists speaking in TV for 10 years, including Milei, evangelizing then harnessing the Internet. The groundwork was done, Milei managed to harvest the crop.
I spent 3 months in Argentina early 2024. Mostly in Buenos Aires, so I experienced the early months of Milei's presidency along with inflation. For example the fees for using the subway system went from $ .12 per any destination to $ .57. Still inexpensive by European or U.S standard, but for locals going to work and earning maybe $ 500. a month, a substantial hardship. Finally if you have currency ( in my case US dollars ) the best way to fund yourself is via Western Union. Send yourself cash in that manner and gain 23% over the official bank rates you would receive at an ATM, or exchange at a bank teller. I liked Argentina and want to go back. I hope Milei can make good on his promises.. Love the show!
Actually it has been really interesting. Those who listened to What Bitcoin Did have given a mixed response while new listeners, friends, family etc... have said they love the name as it suits me.
