Hello!! I am here to share my journey of minimalism and a more simple lifestyle!! The first project I wanted to tackle was the kitchen pantry since it was giving me the most grief, and I knew would make the biggest difference!! I did end up investing more money into the new pantry than the old one so I could create a more inspiring space that would help me stay motivated to keep it organized...for GOOD!!! Not anymore. I LOVE homeschooling and hope to homeschool my children again one day. The timing for learning at home just isn't right now. :)
What kind of Washer and Dryer do you have?
I have a high efficiency (you can use less detergent if you have one, too!) top loading LG washer and dryer. I LOVE them!!

Can I just say that the moment your daughter was making snow angels in the dry pasta spilled on the floor, made me and most every mom connect with you instantly! If we could only turn our stressful moments into "snow angel moments" we would be a lot happier people! You have motivated me to start being more like a minimalist. I love this Candice! I decluttered and became a minimalist mama over four years ago when I was hugely pregnant with my first child. I was just done with having to do it all and in my last two months of of pregnancy I completely went theough our whole home. It was therapeutic and so healing to my soul, mind and spirit. All the extra was gone and what was left behind was ust what we needed and used every day. It changed my life! So excited to watch your journey to clutter free freedom!

What a beautiful transformation!! I have been on my minimalism journey for 2 1/2 years, and I also struggled with the colorful cereal boxes for far too long. I was over the moon excited when I saw a fellow minimalist simply take her cereal out of all those colorful boxes and clip them shut with a clothespin. What? I TOTALLY don't mind looking at those bags now! Also, there is a thing called a canning funnel (who knew?!) that makes filling mason jars with no spillage a breeze. Keep up the awesome work! And the by the way, your smile is gorgeous. Off to binge watch the rest of your videos...

Thank you for sharing. Wow, looks truly lovely, it looks more like a extension of your kitchen now rather than a hide away storage room. its very encouraging to watch . Your beautiful girl when laying in the pasta made me think of snow angels in the snow but she’s a pasta angel 👼 and when she was in the box it was so cute,it’s funny how children always want to get inside a box.😊 . I would of love to have seen your husbands face at the transformation, hope he was proud of you , you did a wonderful job. On girly note ,your hair clipped with that side platt was truly beautiful and feminine and really suited you. 💋

if you use baskets to store cans, you can use a Sharpie and write what's in the can and the expiration date on top so you don't have to lift them up every time to see what they are. It takes 10 seconds and if you leave the Sharpie in the closet, it's so easy. They also get used much faster because our brains need to SEE things in order to consider them.

Minimalism isn’t about buying cheap, it’s about loving what you have. If you love it, it is worth the splurge. Don’t feel guilty when you spend more on certain items. It’s more about not buying what you don’t need or truly love. Love the canisters!!! Again, you are going great! Wish I was there to help you! I love this!!! Keep learning.

First of all: you did a fantastic job!!! It looks wknderful!! Second: I love the large bin for your plastic ware! Third: i, too, use the half gallon mason jars, however if I heard you correctly, you paid six dollars per jar? Most stores that sell canning supplies sell a six jar case of the half gallon Mason/Ball jars for between ten to thirteen dollars. Target is making a heck of a profit by selling them individually. Again, though, you did a great job on your pantry!!! Congratulations!!

It looks awesome. I don’t have a designated pantry and narrow cabinets. I am buying a few Tupperware modular mates at a time for my items and I’m going to label them with my Cricut. Real Tupperware can be pricey but it is so worth it to me. Bugs can’t get in your food (I live in the country and sometimes critters get in despite our best efforts.). They keep my pantry items fresh and I love how they look. I have also used Dollar Tree baskets to coral some items. I have a big shelf with large sturdy white baskets from Walmart to store lots of things. One corner of my kitchen is floor stacked corner cabinets but they are deep and triangular so they are awkward and stuff gets lost. When I tried to use them as a pantry, I couldn’t organize it. I want to eventually add more shelves and store my kitchen gadgets inside in a neater manner.

It looks great!! I cleaned my tiny pantry the other day and I found some expired food, too!! I hated throwing it away, but it was from 2015😔. I always try to buy, only what I need so I don't waste, I'm not perfect, but I try. 😊

It looks great. However for instance when you used a Mason Jar to put oatmeal in, that was not a full container. You need something that would hold a full container. Also when throwing away the box, you loose the directions. Just something to think about.

Looks great! One lesson I’ve learned-make sure your containers aren’t too small. For instance, I had cute flour and rice jars, etc but when I refilled them I had access that didn’t fit. Oops! I also couldn’t fit in a cup scoop.

This just makes me sad that I don't have a real pantry for food storage 😂 this came out so nice. I have a cabinet that was supposed to be for spices and tea, and now it's overflowing with tea. I was tidying that while a cuppa was brewing and then I saw this video and had to watch it while i drank!

@@FancyThatwithCandice if I'm looking for a caffeine kick, I love Irish breakfast. Or plain green. I also really like apple cinnamon from Celestial, the Tazo Blondie blend, blood orange sorbet with Earl grey creme from teavanna (RIP), peppermint, and orange spice. Basically the only tea I don't prefer is chamomile or Jasmine, and that's not a hard rule. I just love tea 😂 OOH and I've been playing with tea lattes with my espresso machine!! My matcha lattes have been sooooo good

I minimized a lot 2 years ago, but it was motivated by a move and it’s been hard to get back on track without that big “event” motivation! Yet, the first month in our new home was amazing - our moving truck was delayed and I honestly realized in those two weeks that life is better with less!

Really nice to watch, especially because you kept it so real with the overwhelm and mess it temporarily gave in the midst of it and all the expired food you feel sad about, so relatable (and I feel like this is the part youtubers don't usually show!). Would be interesting to see what you're kitchen kabinets look like, is it just glasses, plates, pots and pans?

Unfortunately in Florida we get critters in dry goods. So once opened it has to go in an airtight clear container. I do like your chalk tags. Where did you get them? I have learned to downsize makeup (no buy since 9-2018), pantry goods until used up, paper goods and so many other things. Not only am I saving money but I go to the store less. Next my closet...ugh!
