I'm just trying to find what's the matter with me, like i always compare my jaw with different people's jaws, and mine looks terrible and unattractive. My mandible is vertical, it really affects my facial profile, and it gives a terrible look for my teeth and lips as well, because it's not long like a normal jaw. I've always wanted to get braces, i've never seen an orthodontist before but all i know is that he can check on the teeth and the jaw structure and i just want to feel normal, it's just my insecurity because i definitely know that it's not normal
Hello, I don’t think you should feel insecure or bad about your looks, I believe you should visit a dentist(orthodontist) for assessment so that you can either get assurance or make corrections where necessary.
There is no rationale as such. But the consequences of recording wrong vertical dimension - increased or decreased VD has been discussed in the last part of the video. Any further doubts are welcome!
No dear, if you keep the occlusal rims in mouth we cannot determine the exact VD at R. Therefore after measuring VD at R we should adjust the mandibular occlusal rim to reach that dimension. Maxillary rim should not be adjusted because orientation jaw relation had been already recorded.
