On Monday, @JawTooth and I took a 3-hour ride one way North to Greenwich, Ohio with the hopes of catching a train during the total solar eclipse. We ended up getting 16 trains, including one in the eclipse which will be posted here tomorrow, so do do`t miss it.
While on our way to Greenwich, we passed a Southbound train on the Indiana and Ohio Midland Su. We turned around and caught it at Boardman Road just outside Sabina Ohio. I honestly thing this may have been a CSX trackage rights train as it had clearly marked CSX locomotives and all CSX grain cars too. This is an ex-CSX line, so it is possible.
The next trains are all in Greenwich. We first see an Eastbound CSX intermodal coming off the Willard Sub and heading towards Cleveland, Ohio.
Following it is a CSX Westbound mixed manifest coming from the Akron area headed across the diamond towards the CSX yard in Willard, Ohio.
Once it had passed, we get the Wheeling and Lake Erie tiger stripe locomotives coming around the curve from Willard and heading East with a mixed manifest of their own. I really like the paint job on these locomotives!
Lastly, we get the Westbound CSX trash train that had been sitting for about and hour or more stating from a stop and getting things moving in a hurry!
I hope to have the eclipse video up tomorrow.
Thanks for watching!
