My Dad was killed in a plane crash (military) when I was 6 years old (I'm 65 now) and my mother never remarried. She had a picture of my Dad on her nightstand all my life. She passed away recently as I whispered to her that she would soon be reunited with her precious husband, the love of her life. She never stopped loving him and this song gave me the sense of what life would have been like had they had their whole life together! Thank you, thank you, thank you for filling an incredible place in my heart with your words and music!

This song got me. I told both of my daughters to always find a man who treats them better than I treated their mom. I have been with my wife for 33 years and she has always been my queen! I have never told her no! Gave her everything I could possibly give her. My oldest daughter got married to a fine young man in 2021 and he learned that lesson very quickly. One night my daughter jokingly called me (she was pregnant) and told me he would not go get her a pizza from her favorite place because it was snowing. When I showed up at their door, 45 miles from my house 1 hour later with that pizza he knew he messed up and has never made that mistake again. Now that my wife is sick, my son in law is the first person to check on me every day and treats my daughter better than I could have dreamed! God bless you for creating such a treasure of a song!

as someone who comes from a "broken" family, listening to this song brought me to tears. Your parents' love is so beautiful that I'm sad I could not relate. Her dad is the person I hope to grow up and be for my children. I couldn’t stop crying watching this as I watched my youngest playing with two hot wheel cars and hug his mom. Growing up, I had a broken family. My family didn’t feel whole until my mother remarried and Gave us step father. She gave us a baby brother whom we all cherish. We were a family. Watching my step dad and my mother grew and blossom their relationship and he loved us children as his own without any question, I decided he is my father at the age 17 before I graduated high school. I could never asked a better man to be my father And the grandfather of my daughter. Thank you, Pa for loving me and treating me like a princess at the age 13 when I was so broken. Thank you for filling in the broken pieces, thank you for then unconditional love, and thank you for showing what a real father is like. Love you, pa.

I come from an Asian country. From childhood until I grew up, I hardly felt too much love in my family. My father has many bad habits that make my mother and other family members very uncomfortable and angry. And my mother said that if it weren't for fate, she wouldn't have married him. Like what I said, there are actually times when they still care very much about each other and their family. So maybe when they got married, they weren't rich, and when I was born, things weren't any better, so they were always busy with work and forgot how to love and treat each other more gently. . . Maybe I have such a family so maybe I don't really know how to express what true love is. When I heard this song, I was really emotional. I wish I could meet someone who truly understands and helps me love that much. I wish I had a family with children born from the love of their own parents. Same. I try to be happy for them rather than ask why I never got to see my parents like this. I believe in God. I believe he puts situations in place that can make or break you, and with a little faith, he knows you'll grow stronger from it. It still sucks seeing I missed out. My girlfriend showed me this song as it randomly came on from her playlist during a car ride. She mentioned liking it alot and I confess that I really do too. Having known her since I was 7, and though we are only 23 now, I know I will incorporate this in our wedding someday. Because as cheesy as it sounds, I want nothing more than to dedicate my life to becoming the man that loves her, like her father loves her mom. I only hope she'll continue to want me forever as well.

My parents got divorced when I was 23 years old. Growing up, I was generally the only kid amongst my friends who had parents that were still together and I felt so incredibly lucky for it. Still, realizing the pain that came out of their extremely toxic and nasty divorce I have no idea how the kids I grew up with held on. I'm 30 years old now and the pain is still fresh and the hurt has been the same, so I have no idea how the kids I grew up with that had split parents got through their childhoods. My dad stopped loving my mother and treating her like the queen she truly is when I started high school, but I had no idea. They hid it well. To those who relate to this song and have parents that are still so madly in love with each other like Jax's parents: bask in that beauty. The alternative ugly carves a wound that never fully heals.

I grew up with both parents not loving each other and remarrying multiple times on each side. Anyone who has seen real love between their parents are very lucky. Jax’s lyrics in her songs are some of the most genuine, honest and powerful lyrics I’ve ever heard.

I’m 30 years old. My parents got divorced when I was 14. They hate each other so much. When I invite one to my house I can’t invite the other one. They don’t know how much that hurts. I met my husband when I was 15 and we got married at 18. We are still in love & best friends since day 1, but if someday that changes and we have to go our separate ways I’ll make sure to still be his friend regardless, for my children.

My parents were the same way. They couldn't even talk on the phone in a civil manner. They divorced when I was about 5ish. I've been married almost two years with a daughter that's almost 1. We've been together since I was 15, I'm now 27. I just hope we can be together to show my daughter what it's like to be in a loving relationship. And if we don't I too have talked to my husband the we will be civil for our children. I don't want my kids to grow up like I did. With parents that hate each other. My only wish was that they could have gotten a long better before she passed. 😥

I cry every time when I listen to this song, because the "my father" who "loves my mum" for me is my stepdad, who raised me even though I wasn't his child. I'm almost 22 and he's been in my life for more than 12. He truly is my dad and the purest way he's shown me how much he loves my mum is by loving me. My parents are still married but I've never seen them really show love to each other. I promised myself I would never marry unless I was marrying my best friend. And that we would show our kids how we love each other and teach them to never accept less. I got married September 19, 2020. He's my best friend. Growing up with toxic parents led me to my husband who gives me a life and marriage 180° from the BS I grew up with. I'm so thankful for what I have and I hope our daughter seek a man who loves me the way their dad does.

It’s really unique for a child from a broken family to learn to be that loving figure and with all the broken and unloving families out there there are so many adults that don’t know how to be this kind of loving toward their spouse. I wouldn’t say I come from a totally broken family as my parents did love each other (I know this for sure) but they had a tough time showing their feelings toward each other and toward their children. I look back now and see things while I was growing up that I wish I had seen earlier in life as it would have kept me from hurting on some issue about my family. Those that are lucky enough to find this love in their spouse are truly blessed.

As a father of girls, I appreciate this. This is a beautiful song. Our daughters were just telling my wife and I today that they like it when we kiss. We didn't even know that they paid that much attention to that stuff. Thanks for writing, performing, and producing this.

Pro tip. When old enough make your daughters work at a daycare. They will hate KIDS after and make you NOT be a grand parent too soon. My daughter is 22.

Don't underestimate the value of the impact you give on your kid's vision on relationships. My parents never really kissed or hugged or anything else, it was always passive aggresive behaviour, which lead to me not knowing how to love another person properly. keep up the love you give to your wife, show a lot of love.

My daughter who is 11 years old send me and her dad this song last night. She found it on RU-vid and she sent it to us. I haven’t been able to listen to this song without crying. I had my daughter when I was 18 I am 30 and I’ve been with her father since I was 14 and we got married when I was 18 and we’ve been together for almost 17 years and 11 of those years married and it feel so amazing that your daughter thinks of you as a role model. That’s she looks at us and hopes to find someone to be married to and that treats her like her father treats me. It’s emotional for me because growing up I didn’t have that with my parents who for divorced when I was 10 and it’s such a wonderful feeling to know that ur daughter looks up to u and she admired her dad’s and I relationship. We are reaching out daughter right and I hope she’ll find her soulmate in the future and gets to live in her own fairytale. Thank you so much for making this song it’s truly amazing.

Cried throughout the whole video. This makes me appreciate my dad, as a single father who divorced my mom when I was 11, he still loves her even now, even after all she did, he still tells me stories about their wedding and how they met, and it makes me sad because my mom is moving to a different state soon to get away from everybody, And it’s breaking my dads heart because he was really hoping to just be her friend again and talk to her. This was a hard video to watch because I know my dad loves her still after 8 years of divorcing.

The weirdest thing is that I’m not crying because this is sad. I’m not crying because it is so touching or because it’s such an amazing piece of vocal talent being shown. I’m crying mostly because this shows what a great parenthood and strong bond can do to make someone so loving and talented to begin with. Keep crushing it Jax.
