He could’ve been awake in the circus for 22 years, or made as a character with the “age” 22 years(like a video game character being canonically 22 years old) Or jax just isn’t an npc

but also the way pomni (I think it was her idk) reacted leads to believe that they DIDN'T tell her. she says something along the lines of, "Uhh... Yes! That is what we were doing." and if they'd already said that they were taking him to execute him pomni would've probably said that in a different way. then again, it's not entirely unbelievable that glitch intended it for it to seem like that they had already told her, but also maybe dont go dunking down people's noticings and theories without even considering them? /srs /nbr

I don't think Jax is an NPC but Caine's incident might be referring to Queenie instead. I think Caine accidentally destroyed or sent off a human and made them abstract, aka Queenie which is why Kinger is going crazy
I think this would make sense... Because probably the characters are turning into abstract because they going to far from the circus. Meaning that their adventures is just a complete "generation" and the other ones was going to far and reaches *The Void* and they probably fall off through the map and they came back to their room. abstracted, because Caine don't know how to generate their character looks again. Also the developers don't know where to put the Abstracted so they put it on under the map and tried to fix it but failed due to fact that their character or memories is gone missing through the files.

I find that hard to believe that that’s possible since Jax has a real age, a door, and Gooseworx herself confirmed he was the one that deserved to suffer in the circus the most. Then again, this might possibly turn into an “Among Us” situation if it turns out to be true. 😅
For me the theory is interesting,but isn't jax the youngest member ?so I assumed when he appeared like pomni kinger being the oldest and regatha second saw him enter ? Because if he was an npc both those characters I'm assuming would have known if he was an npc but I doubt he is. I just think jax is a human who has issues there people that can be as cold as any other person . NPCs can be nice and evil just like humans saying an NPC don't carry human traits. I think his human he has a door and age in this fictional setting. But the theory is pretty good though I had to think a bit too much but its a decent theory .

Ok, now to deconfirm: 1. Jax is stated to be 22 years old. Gooseworx never stated the ages of any of the non-human characters since they're either as old as the Circus itself or came online seconds before Caine announced their adventure 2. Jax made a reference to the movie Willy Wonka And The Chocolate Factory (specifically, the first character to lose the contest because he fell into a river of chocolate and was sucked into a chocolate vortex created by a tube designed to extract chocolate from said river). In the TADC greenlight video, Caine stated he doesn't canonically have any knowledge of things like the internet (which would likely predate TADC in universe) so obviously an NPC wouldn't be capable of knowing more about something from the real world than Caine 3. Jax will enter what would normally be life-threatening situations just to screw with others. This is something you'd only do if you knew you couldn't die in those scenarios

It’s a fun theory. I don’t believe it, when Pomni first appeared Jax told her to keep tugging at the headset because “That’s what worked for all of US.” But that being said if it is true it’s possible that some or most of the characters wouldn’t know that he’s an NPC. Kinger has supposedly been there the longest but he also seems to have memory issues. And some, or all of the others could have arrived after Jax joined.
Jax being an npc would be a SICK plot twist and a really good direction to take if he were to become our villain. I also have a theory that comes with a combination of other theories I've seen in comments of videos. This theory starts when Pomni puts on the headset. So, as we know the characters have human characteristics and feelings. (That includes Jax if IF he's not an AI but that's not the point) Since the characters are humans they have consciousness. Well... what if the headset traps the consciousness of the humans in the digital world and their bodies fall dormant into some sort of digital coma. That's why when we see the headset on the desk at the end of the pilot and just the headset. No body. The theory for where the body went is Pomni's co-workers saw her body passed out on the floor and then they took her to the hospital where she is in a coma. And all the characters' bodies if they are human are also in a coma. And here's where things get crazy. This might be far fetched but Ima say it. When you abstract, your body dies in real life. Hence trapping you there forever. And the only way to escape this slow and horrible death is to find the exit and have your consciousness return to your body.
Just realized. The pilot is one episode This is the second episode. There are 8 episodes. 6 left, Goose said each episode focuses on a character. So there's actually room for the rest of the main characters to have an episode focusing on them. But there will be one left. A couple of theories: 1. One of the characters will have a 2 part special in the series. 2. There may be an episode on what Caine does while everyone is on an adventure 3. The extra episode will just be on Pomni again 👁️👄👁️ 4. The extra episode will be a prequel episode on Kaufmo

I’m not really subscribed to this particular theory. Jax makes even the circus members look like their the NPCs. Jax treats everything like he’s the player and everything and everyone exists for his use. The 1st thing Jax asks is if Pomni is just another one of Caine’s NPCs. Jax has actually been seen expressing genuine emotion but he doesn’t want to show it because he avoids being vulnerable.
I don't know whether Jax is an NPC, but I'm glad people are talking about the obvious foreshadowing: that there's going to be an NPC amongst the Circus Members, forgotten by Caine. My deep fear is that it's going to be our dear, sweet Pomni, somehow...
@@Darkwolf69420 Well, we don't know that Caine for sure didn't cause her creation, and it's possible an NPC could "spawn in" to the Circus, given that Jax immediately asks Caine if Pomni is "another one of [his] NPC's." Remember? He was annoyed that he'd have to redo the theme song.
Cain can only alter the coding in the game, players are not part of the game code themselves, so all he can do is "ban" them into the cellar. NPC's are part of the code, so Cain simply removes that code to delete them
But honestly i don't understand why the TADC fandom is divided for Jax: I loved Jax from the first episode because he was a bastard, and now in the second episode which shows that he is a great bastard the fandom starts to hate him, why?
Because of the time gap between episodes 1 (the pilot) and 2, people were able to let their headcanons of who the characters may be flourish. Including Jax, the character who ended up being turned into a tumblr sexyman and a 'uwu baby boi he just hurt he'll get better'. While it's okay to have AUs and whatnot (because the only way to not make him a bastard at this point is to rewrite his character) people let these ideas rosetint canon Jax in a more positive light, when in reality he's just a massive jerk. So when they saw that on full display in a more direct manner, it's safe to say they were pissed Personally i'd LIKE him to get better and somewhat caring character at best (I love found family stuff sue me), it's safe to say that isn't gonna happen (and confirmed by Gooseworx that he's gonna get worse) so I went into episode 2 with the idea he was gonna be a jerk. And guess what, he was a jerk, and I didn't mind. Heck I was cackling from his antics as he terrorized everyone. People need to realize that while they can create and headcanon stuff for Jax, Jax is still Gooseworx's character and we already have an idea of what he's gonna be, and it's not a 'sad boi'. 3:48 you forgot, that at the end of ep 2 (when they had the funerql for Kaufmo) you could see that Jax actually cares about Kaufmo (we were able to see that he was sad for a short moment but then immediatley hid his feelings). I think Jax just doesn't want to show his feelings to the others and plays the "cool one". I like your theory but it doesn't really make sence to me
If you slow this bit down, 6:04 you will see his expression soften, showing that he’s feeling sad for kufmo. So he does care about about others, he just wants to put on a tough guy look. He himself doesn’t want to be abstracted so I reckon he’s focusing on violence to distract him from the fact that he’s afraid and scared and is not only trying to convince the others, but also himself that he has control over him and is sane. I don’t see that as not complicated. I reckon Jax is not an AI.

The only thing that speaks against this theory is that Gooseworx already confirmed the ages of all the circus members and that also includes Jax with 22 years but idk maybe that could also mean that Caine created him 22 years ago.... 😅

well I'm actually curious how closely they will follow the real logic of how computers work. because if they do, it might be possible for gummigoo and others to not be dead. you see, when you delete something on a computer, it's not really, gone, it's just re-labeled as empty. sure, its can't be accessed by programs, but it still exists unless something else replaces it. so using data recovery software, you can do a manual bit-by-bit scan of the storage and find the data. if its still all there, can then be re-labeled and accessed again.
my looks about him is that, they all have diffrent feelings, jax, as a human, might have been mean/cruel and toxic. like gangle and zooble has a diffrent mind set, zooble swears, (I guess?) and gangle dosent, because she is scared.

actually, this can’t be true you see there’s something called playlist, and they have descriptions. I read the amazing digital circus and it said it was cartoon and there is no NPC in cartoons. What about the game menu have you never watch something on the DVD with the settings for your language, and a play button to play it, and we’re talking about the past here DVDs were pretty popular back then and Jax is a gamer so he’s going to have some rage and a gun and probably play solos and it’s digital. He obviously wouldn’t care. He plays it as it’s game. but then that gives him trauma. how do we know he’s gamer, but I just saw a video. That showed a tweet showing a picture of him playing games with lots of snacks. Sounds like a gamer, so it’s physically impossible for him to be an NPC and and NPCs don’t get their own room but then why would Jaxs have one so you got a look around

I slightly agree with this theory but my only reason I don’t believe it is because I’m pretty sure Gooseworx said Caine doesn’t understand human emotions, so I think he is an ai.
I think the only way for Caine to not delete Jax is for the latter to merge with the former and gain full control of the entire game. (Wreck-it Ralph style.)
Jax has feelings, you see, he needs to entertain himself or he might get insane more easily. And close to the end of the episode when ragatha asked pomni to go to kaufmo’s funeral jax had a sad face and then turned it into an annoyed face.
Jax does care though, on the outside he’s a big jerk, but just as Ragatha is telling Pomni about how they do funerals, Jax is seen for a split second and he looked sad but then he shook his head and looked angry again, which implies that he’s forcing himself to keep his true feelings to himself. So Jax cares and isn’t as cruel as we think, so he might not be an NPC.
tbh, it's only the second episode and jax would probably get a bit of character development in the future episodes, making him meaner or whatever else.

All the characters show a different way actually. ragatha: tried to be nice, but not brush it off Zooble: Just doesn't really care about anything Kinger: Goes crazy Gangle: Tries to act cheerful but does have deep issues Pomni: Still getting used to it all and Jax: Thinks there is no consequences to his actions, nothing is real around him, so why not just do whatever he wants. Like to be fair, I think most people would actually do that if something like that happened.
I think that Jax has been getting bored in the circus as he may be the first person to join the circus, and he decides to bully the circus members. He also wishes for Violence in the adventures and it may be because he's gone to many adventures.
I think that jax isnt an npc because he was shown feeling something for kaufmo, he did like the guy and if hes an npc he wouldnt be able to feel emotions like that especially because that is something that caine only recently made possible

I would love it if true, but Caine said at the beginning that he is "testing out a new AI in this one, it should be 57 times more immersive", so I think that is meant to explain that sentient AI was a new thing.
1. Jax has an age 22 2. Jax didnt handle it well when he first was in the circus 3. Caine makes models for npc's meaning caine would know if jax is an NPC right away 4. He might be sneaky and uses people, he does it for one thing only and thats for his entertainment, if he was a hidden NPC he would've tried to stop caine or wait to cover himself up if caine finds out (by using the others).
Gooseworx confirmed that Jax is 22 years old, and NPCs don't have ages. And, Jax is the type of guy Who just wants to be "cool" around others. When Ragatha talked to Pomni about Kaufmo's funeral, we can see that Jax's expression got emotional for a second, which also explains why he Isn't an NPC.
I heard this theory that Jax is mean to the other circus members to keep them stimulated and stop them from going insane and that was also why Jax was so surprised when he saw kophmo (Idk how to spell it) abstracted
In certain games you can invite people into a team. This is in a style of games so it isn’t out of the blue you can replace characters to invite new ones. So that supports the theory but shouldn’t be a base one.
