Raised in New Jersey by way of New York, Jax got her start by performing a wide variety of genres and in bands growing up. At the age of 18, she developed cancer above her vocal cords, which returned following a couple months of remission right as she relocated to Los Angeles in pursuit of her music. Left unable to sing herself, Jax turned to songwriting for others and found industry success behind-the-scenes. As her ability to perform returned, Jax needed to pivot yet again when the COVID-19 pandemic struck. This time she turned to TikTok, posting a hilarious response to the pop gem “Stacy’s Mom” from “Stacy’s Mom’s Perspective” which exploded with nearly 9 million views in just a few months and follow-ups including “Update from Avril Lavigne & Sk8er Boi 18 years later.” She continued to go viral a dozen or more times over, having now amassed over 9.7 million followers on the platform and over 155 million “likes” to date. With a massive online audience under her belt, Jax began sharing her own original music in late 2020 to an overwhelmingly positive response - ultimately leading to her signing with Atlantic Records for her forthcoming debut full-length.

There’s a little girl who is 7 at our figure skating rink who yells this song when it comes on this song is definitely going to help her in life and hearing it when she’s 7 and it hitting hard in her head and heart she’s like a little sister to me… thank you Jax so much for the impact you have made on so many girls ❤

I sing this song with my daughter. She started showing signs of being embarrassed of how she looks, so I pulled out this wonderful song out and we jam to it every time I drive her around. Thank you Jax for writing and creating such a beautiful anthem ❤

When I was a teen, I had an eating disorder. I had to have the perfect body, be the perfect weight, etc. I had done some extra work in films and had to fit that "perfect size" if I wanted to get called. I had a bad relationship with food...I'd eat it but then I'd get rid of it. It messed up my body so much. It was my doctor that told me if I didn't stop the craziness, I would not be able to have children. Since then I have continued to have a bad relationship with food, except the opposite. I always needed my sugar rush...now I am prediabetic. I love your song. I wish it had been around when I was younger. When I hear it on the radio in my suv, I sing it loud and proud, ignoring the questionable looks I get from people watching a 50 year old woman bopping behind her wheel and singing loud and proud. Thank you for creating this amazing song and making kids/teens/adults realize just how unimportant and superficial the "perfect body" is because in reality, we are all have beautiful bodies! Thank you Jax, you rock! ❤

Just yesterday I was at the mall and I saw a group of little girls maby aged about 10 - 12 years-olds at a video game arcade and karaoke and they sang this song out loud gaining attention from everyone including their parents too. It was one of the most cutest things I've ever seen. Again those girls sing Victoria's secret from start to end. Thanks jax for creating this song. I truly love it!

When I first heard the original, I was obsessed. Just heard this version, I legit cried. The original is so filled with rage at VS and the diet industry in general. This one feels more sad, like grieving the years that an eating disorder takes from you. I've struggled with an ED for a long time, I can't even pinpoint when it started. Hearing this song is very cathartic and reminds me of how far I've come in recovery. Anyways, such a great song!

Every time I hear this song I grieve the teen I was 30 years and then the woman I became who hated clothes shopping and her body.
